Lol, I loved the sequence with Nami in this chapter.
At first she started out as Helpless and upset. Just getting done crying. Then she has the cute surprised face when the old guy causes the light breeze, then she gets annoyed, then she goes tumbling, then she's back to her pissed off high stress self.
Wheel of morality turn, turn, turn.
Alot of things going on, Hancock and Luffy will stay together for 4 days long, and i think that is enough time to teach Luffy haki.
Those rope are so useful. It can help you cool down in a hot day, and can help the ship move faster.

ANYWAY, I'm curious about the brief peeks at the other SHs stories. They feel kind of incomplete. Will we get more later? Who knows.
Right now the story can go in so many different directions. It could go and focus on another SH. It could shift between a few of them. Although, the most likely choice is continuing with Luffy and Hancock's story, but after giving us a taste of the other SHs it wouldn't feel right if we didn't see the others.
Bah, the bottom line is a lot can happen, and all of it seems pretty cool. I dare say there's no way that Oda can fuck this up. Hell, I don't think any shonen writer could mess up what has been built in this story. You know who I'm talking about.

Agree with everything in this post! Kuma really may have sent the Sh's to train to be the wild card in this war, I guess he's hoping they will show up!

Anywho, this chapter was on point, not only Whitebread is on the move, but other crews from the New World, this is gonna be the best arc of the year! (Im gonna go out on a limp and say outta every manga release this year…....maybe I'm over doing it, but you get the point!)

P.S. Stop complaining Luffy didn't train using Haki.....for goodness sake, have we ever seen Luffy or any other SH train except for Zoro, he has Haki down pack, I'm sure when he needs to use it, it will be like Gear 2 and 3 for him, he'll just be a master at it!

This war may end with pretty much a draw, except the pirates will take control of the New World and push out all of the marines. The only thing that goes against this is Smoker's quest for Luffy continuing in the New World, but he could also be part of the marines making a push to regain some kind of order there.
Edit- I don't know why, but I liked seeing Nami as upset as Luffy was originally even after flying through the air for so long.
This chapter was awesome! so many good stuff, but what actually took for me was Franky and Sanji at the end. Franky is born to be awesome: within minutes of meeting strangers he already has them doing the "Super" pose.
If Kuma knows/has been at the places he sent Strawhats, what the hell is his relationship with Kamabakka kingdom?! o_o
You know, I don't really think Kuma knows all of these Islands. Like most people said before me, I think it as to do with Kuma's question: "where would you like to go?" I'm thinking that if Kuma has the power to extract weariness and pain out of somebody, surely he can send them where they subconsciously want to go. After all it makes sense when you think about it.
Luffy: "A place with lots of strong people." Why not "A place where I could get stronger"? Somehow I don't think he would have ended on Kuja Island then. He probably wanted to go somewhere with meet strong people. An Island full of Haki using Amazons fits the bill pretty well, don't you think? At least, better than any marine infested Island could, I guess.
I'm also with the people saying that Luffy will learn about Haki while going to Impel Down with Hancock. I think things might get a little too hectic once they reach the prison for him to learn anything then.
Nami: "A place where I can learn more about navigating/weather." Simple enough. I'm guessing her upgrade has something to do with wind, obviously. Genuine Tornado tempo anyone?
Franky: I'm thinking "A place where I can upgrade myself/the Ship." Makes sense to me. Obvious upgrade. I'm also thinking he'll pick up many ideas on how to upgrade their ship.
Sanji: This one actually bit him back. He probably wanted to go somewhere full of "young maiden hearts". See where that gets him? u__u'. I'm actually wishing this is the place where Bon Kurei lived. He'll probably meet a kick using martial artist user there if it's true.
As for the others, here's my guess at where they might want to go and might end up as well as possible upgrades:
Chopper: "I want to go somewhere where I can become more helpful." comes to mind. Since Chopper already comes from a Island already made famous for it's doctors, I want to see him go either on a animal only Island or and Island full of Shaman/Witch Doctors.
Obviously most people think is upgrade would be to master is "monster point", but I don't really like that aspect. In fact I really hope this is the last time we see Chopper in that form. I mean, the fact that it was useless in the last fight would have to make Chopper realize that "monster point" isn't such a good option anymore (but obviously he won't seeing he probably won't remember a thing). In terms of combat capability, Chopper is a more potent fighter with rumble ball. Being able to figure out an enemy's weak point and being able to deal enough damage. I think Chopper as one of the best fighting styles in One Piece
I want him to learn how to make a new type of rumble ball. This one will obviously last longer. Or maybe he will make one with a permanent effect. But What I really want is a "ninth" form. One that could mix brain, jumping and arm point.
Robin: "somewhere to learn more about history seems more likely." It might also be somewhere where I can gain more knowledge." After all she's always been Luffy's personal encyclopedia. Anyways only Oda knows what kind of upgrade she will have once we see her again, But I'm thinking she'll end up in a Island like Ohara or maybe the WG secret library or something.
Zoro: "Somewhere I can become stronger"… hum it might also be "Somewhere I can become stronger". I think the fact that he's always thinking about that makes it obvious that he'll become stronger when we'll see him again. As to where he might end up, your guess is good as mine. That guy can pretty much use anything for his training.

Usopp (My fav character): "Somewhere where I can be brave(r)". He'll definitely end up on a island full of scary/strong people/monsters. He might meet Perona there too. That would be funny. On the other hand, he might end up in a "Sniper Island" of somesorts since Oda has a knack for changing his lies into truths. But if it's truly sniper Island I wonder what he could learn there. Since his aim and eyesight are allready top notch.
His upgrades… hmm. I'm definitely hopping for a new weapon: So far the only thing Kabuto has been able to with it's many dials are pretty looking projectiles consisteing of either fire or explsions stronger than his fire star. I got nothing against Usopp being the weakest SH (sobs) but he sould be atleast able to hurt people. I'm hoping for a better use of his dials. But what I really hope for is that Usopp learns a new fighting style. You know, it's one thing to be called "Sogeking" it's another to fight like one. Usopp Should learn means to hide and confuse people better. In the end sogeking should be some one who shouldn't be seen until after it's too late or something. Oh, and I hope he uses some of the stuff he used agaist Luffy (with a little dial upgrade of course).
I don't think we'll have time to dwell on their actions for long, as it had been previously said, but I expect them to be reunited with Luffy at Impel Down. It might be that they'll meet on SA before hand, guess about Luffy wherabouts and go there to help him out. We'll have additional info on what happened to them while they are be fighting.

Well, one thing that is important and shouldn't be overlooked is what is said in one of the narrators boxes. We know what we are seeing is something that happened a while back ago. We might get more, but at the same time it seems to be letting us know they are alive and safe as of a certain amount of time ago, and that they could be well on their way back by now. No more mystery as to where they are, while allowing them to surprise us with their potentially new knowledge and skill when they return in the present. Again, bypassing training arc type garbage. Also, I am so glad he is leaving the best for last so far, Zoro. Anyways:

It wouldn't suprise me if also Rayleigh wasn't amongst the 500 pirates, but their so busy with WB and he hasn't been spotted by the Marines. A high ranking Marines would spot Rayleigh a mile away, but as stated - they've left the handling to the LOWER ranks. Mistakes will be made.

We never see anyone train. It doesn't mean they don't. Zoro lifting weights doesn't count, as it is pretty much the equivalent in hobby to Sanji cooking. One Piece Movie 7 isn't canon, and used Gear 2nd after it's manga introduction…how is that out of nowhere? The movie obviously would have been assuming Luffy already trained using it. While Haki may be the same for Luffy in the sense the he suddenly debuts it in fighting form, you somehow managed to miss my point: "Freedom's disappointment, as well as my own, comes from the lack of haki development as a whole." Either we, the readers, will learn more about Haki through dialog Luffy doesn't hear and then Luffy will naturally begin to understand it without instruction, or Luffy will be told what Haki is and what it can do and then train and / or incorporate it into his moveset off screen. Didn´t Brook say that he was something along the lines of "a Knight of a certain Kingdom" before he became a Pirate when he joined? Has been some time since I red that chapter.
That was stroke me as somewhat too random to be just a useless fact. Brook´s pledge of loyality would have made just as much sense without this part.
So, maybe Brook´s wish was to know "What´s up with them?" or "I want to see my old friends again" and that´s were he´ll end.
While he´s there he can improve his fencing and most likely music as well. After all there he learned his swordsplay and I doubt there was a lack of music on that Island ;)

About Nami's situation, I think this will defenetly help the strawhats. Like, if they get stuck on the calm belt again, she could just summon up a powerful wind to get off of it, and since she's a Navigator already, she could send them in the right direction/where they're headed. :D This could also be a signal of some kind, like when they split up on an island she could use the wind to tell them to go back to Sunny. I wonder if this is what Dragon uses, too, since he seemed to be controling what happened at Lougetown.
Franky's situation could really help them. Like, maybe he could make some new gadgets to help the SH. Or maybe he'll make something to go in one of the empty docks on Sunny. I don't really know. xD
Sanji… I have to laugh. :'D Poor him. Maybe this'll help him fight women or not, I can't really tell.
Now for the others, I could/would want to see…
Usopp end up on Elbaf (sp?). Or maybe some where else that could help him become more coragous without the help of 'Sogeking'. Although, maybe his situation will get worse, and he'll depend on 'Sogeking' more then he did before. Who knows?
Chopper could end up on an island full of sick people. That way his talent doesn't go to waste, and, there could be some ilnesses he's never treated before and are heard to be incureable, so that could also help him with his dream. :D
Robin I think could end up on the island that Dragon is on. Maybe Shanks. And if she does end up with either, she would have to fight a lot, so that would help her work on her fighting tecniqes. She'll constetly be in danger with both for all we know. Or maybe she'll end up with Whitebeard? She never met Ace before, so this could be a chance that she does?
Zoro… somewhere near Luffy. Or one of the other SH, seeing as he has no sense of direction and will get lost if he ends up somewhere else. xD But if he does go elsewhere, maybe it's near Smoker and Tashigi? He could get over his weakness of her (looking like Kuina and all) and that could help with later fights with her. Although I don't know if would be captured when he's spot or not if he told his story to them. Tashigi did let them go that one time and she might give him a nother chance because of what's happening. But then again, I don't know.
Brook… I have NO idea. Maybe the island where Zoro came from? So he could practice his music sword fighting style? Or maybe somewhere else? In any case, I really don't know what Oda is going to do with him, so... yeah. xD;;

This chapter is so awesome. We finally got to kinda see Jinbei. Luffy is finally on his way to get Ace. Hopefully he reaches Impel Down soon. And I love Oda for finally telling us where 3 of the other SHs are! Sanji's expression at the end is simply priceless. Best chapter in a while.

Someone should compile and release the cover stories as their own "chapters" so they are easier to read and locate. I could do it myself…if people outside of myself actually wanted it. I would need some good HQ raws to clean and scanlate myself though so noone gets mad at me for taking their work. Plus, I'd rather clean and scanlate my own stuff anyways. Would this be useful...?

Kinda ticked that the Ace & Garp scene was only one page, I'd at least want one more page of dialog lol but Oda and his suspense.
Sanji's part made me laugh, I didn't think he'd be writing a letter in his head. Nami will most likely come back with some new tricks and if the island Franky is at is where Vegapunk's from we can expect Franky to come back as a gundam or some type of mecha.
The fact that other pirates in the New World are making moves as well spells disaster for the marines/WG. Even if they win on some fronts it seems that Majeroia, ID, and MHQ may all be attacked. I doubt with all of the admirals, Va's, and the shichi that they could successfully protect what they need to. I also don't believe all of the shichi are truly on the marines side(Kuma, Mihawk, obviously Hancock, and BB).
This is the perfect time for Dragon to make a move though. I wouldn't mind him stealing the spotlight.
Am I the only one that thought Sengoku was talking about Garp at first when they mentioned Jinbei's situation? The trans in the spoiler made it more clear who they were talking about. Anyway Jinbei is badass, kinda stupid to lock him up in Impel Down imo. If WB does attack their and has some success Jinbei could break out and summon any fishmen partners he got to make matters worse. I wonder if Sengoku as desperate as the situation will eventually be for the marines will think of going to Croc for some help?(even though Croc would just be plotting something else).
I'd like to see a situation where Luffy's being chased or rampaging through ID and comes to a corridor where he bumps in to both Jinbei and Croc lol.
Seems to be a little more hope for Ace, it'll be that more shocking when/if he dies.

I'm still wondering if the marines are actually sparing men to bring back the CP9 or capture them. They clearly need all the help they can get, Sengoku doesn't seem comfortable with 6 shichi already agreeing to participate with in mind that the admirals will be in this too. Maybe we could see a return of them, maybe.

LOL they most likely meant the situation with him and his son and daughter being attacked by Luffy, Ray, and Usopp(and everything else that happened that they didn't like. They're probably just complaining screaming for the deaths for all the ppl who went against them that day.
The reason the Admirals deal with him is because the nobles most likely aren't ranked high enough to get the attention or warrant it from Sengoku or the Goursei.
