Again, privateers are NOT pirates. You have to be dirty to be a pirate; that's the very definition of being one. Pirates are criminals and outlaws. If one respect the laws (thus doesn't commit crime), he is not a pirate.
Privateers are allowed to do what they do so they don't break the laws, therefore they are not pirates.

if you look at some pirates in history some did it for their country by stealing from other country or island.in the dominican republic a pirate by the name of drake stole from the people and brought it back for france. pirates can be tied to the sea and stealing.in my personal opinion thats where it ends for their similarities

That's not a pirate, that's a privateer.

Pirates don't care about their government or their country. They are criminals, end of story. They don't follow any code or restrict themselves with moral, they are no different than normal criminals on earth except that they are on water. They steal, they kill and they rape people of any age or sex.
