I'm with Aldrich, Robin probably apply an initial pressure and then let off. I don't think she'd continue to squeeze his nuts for that long of a time. But i also agree with some others, it was damn funny initially, but for the entire chapter is a bit overboard IMO. I think Franky was just using the pain as an excuse for his crying
hahahaAs for Usopp, i'm sure he'll be back. He's either hiding on the ship already, or brought up by Zoro or Franky in the next chapter. maybe my opinion is wrong, but i'm hoping Usopp grows up and apologizes to get back on the ship. he always questioned luffy's ability to captain and didn't give luffy the captain respect he deserves IMO.
Looks like we'll get to find out how great the ship is in the next few chapters as Luffy will have to battle Garp to get back out to see. Woohoo! new arc on the way. Fishman Island here we come

I just had a weird thought…What if Garp has captured Usopp, and makes him join up with Luffy under the threat of being arrested? So basically, if Usopp is not with Luffy, then he is not part of the Strawhat crew, and therefore under arrest. I know it's weird logic, but hey, were talking about Luffy's Family

Because if Funimation picks it up, I seriously can imagine Luffy's voice being that guy who did Vash the Stampede, Alan in Xenosaga, etc. And Zoro's voice being the guy who did Zechs, did Spike Spiegel, etc.

Well, ADV did a decent job on Martian Successor Nadesico, and since my absolute favorite Anime is Tenchi Muyo OAV, I'm a big supporter of ADV since they picked up OAV 3 after Pioneer stopped doing Anime (Though I still miss the old Tenchi's English voice, I usually watch it in Japanese anyway). I really hated Funimation's dub of Tenchi Muyo GXP, so that's why I'm a little miffed at them right now.
I called it wrong, so long ago. I guess this needs to be changed.

That's an interesting an idea. It's unlikely, I'd say, but an interesting idea nonetheless.
Now, the next chapter is either gonna leave us hanging with what happens to the crew against Garp and go back to the Ace/Blackbeard situation, or it's gonna stay with the Straw Hats and finally resolve the whole Usopp thing. Personally, I'm hoping for the latter….. I am kind of sick of waiting for Usopp to grow some balls and rejoin the crew as HIMSELF and not SOGEKING_. :getlost:_

Well, Iceburg and the whole "King of Beasts" thing makes me think it'll be centered around this theme. After all, as you can see everywhere else, Oda is big on animals. He even stated he likes drawing them.

I thought that it was pretty painful. I'm suprised that every guy in those panels didn't don a face similar to Franky's when his balls got crushed. Does anyone else think that Garp isn't planning on attempting to capture the Straw Hats? I wonder if he's getting ready to launch an attack is because Blackbeard either managed to defeat or get away from Ace and has made it to Water 7 already. I think it's plausible, but it would be a bit of a let down not to be able to see the fight between Blackbeard and Ace.

I dunno about the other guys, but I'm not over-sensetive. I just don't believe that anyone deserves to have the tar beaten out of them, especially if they've had a traumatic experience in their life.
It's not even a cultural thing, because I have a friend in France who is very emotional, but she's extremely prideful and tries to hide it.

It's a gag for god's sake.
It's not like she was malicious and castrated him or anything. It was for funnys. It's different because the context was different. Spandam wanted to be the legendary hero or whatever the hell. Beating Robin was in cold blood and done so that a)The viewer grows to dislike Spandam (even more) and b) Make Robin's/The strawhat's struggle all the more melodramatic. Squeezing Franky's balls was just a very explicit way of saying Stop acting like a jackass and get on the fucking boat. It's kind of like Nami constantly beating the shit out of Luffy when he does something stupid. And it was meant in jest because a) It's out of character for Robin b) It's balls humor, and that's always a good chuckle and c) It establishes the fact that Franky is prone to getting his ass (or in this case balls) handed to him when he does something foolish, which considering he's a 34 year old cyborg who ran around in a speedo and constantly declares shit to be Super~! is more likely then not.
God damn. That's alot of text for such a stupid point I was making.

It's different because Robin only slightly hurt Franky, and Franky milked that for the remainder of the chapter to hide his emotions. It's different because Robin did it to pursuade Franky into doing something he really wanted to do in the first place. It's different because Robin and Franky are really on the same side, and Robin wouldn't go molesting Franky. And, most of all, it's different because they've taken Franky's speedo's!
And on the Robin-issue, I guess everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but to simply state trauma's can't be that big, is ridiculous. Trauma's can drive people to live in solitude for the rest of their lives, or to end it alltogether. Trauma's can make people think of themselves as completely worthless. To be so eager not to endanger the lives of the only people you care about, is really not all that far-fetched. Okay, it may have been annoying, and maybe she did need a slap in the face - not my personnal opinion, but I can accept it - but you can't tell someone just how fucked up, mentally, they can be.

You know, it's funny. This is a really cool a epic send off for Franky joining the crew and leaving all his friends at Water 7–perhaps the best joining scene yet. And yet, Franky's pantless the whole time. In fact, we're remember this scene as long as Franky is on that ship.
Oda is a ****in genius. We can't forget that ass now.
