see this guy? he wants you to vote Hiruluk. if you don't he'll remove your leg.
Actually, I'm quite sure he'd say Hiruluk is an idiot for drinking the poison.

Law is easily the most awesome of the other supernovas, even if it is just because, like Luffy, he also doesn't care too much if someone he wants to pick a fight with has a higher bounty than he does - I've always been annoyed with people in the manga who blindly think of bounty as an insurmountable ranking of power.
He did? The first time we saw him he was like "I said it now, no regrets, I'm ready to die for my conviction" right before Luffy blocked an incomming attack from Alvida. The last time we saw him he was like "I said it now, no regrets, I'm ready to die for my conviction" right before Shanks blocked and incomming attack from Akainu. His character is literally the same it was more then 500 chapters ago.
I think you're totally right. Standing up to a third rate pirate is pretty much the same as standing up to the world government.
Well, there are some minor differences, like standing up to Alvida was more out of self-interest (he had not much to lose, wasn't such a great life he was leading) and he had much, much more to lose than to gain, standing up to the world government (likely to be considered a traitor, while he was growing to be quite the up-and-coming young marine). Or that this time he's going against the top of the marines while he was honestly idolizing the marine from the very beginning.
But none of that really matters anyway, crybaby cried. We can't have anybody crying in One Piece - which, by the way, people who don't want Luffy to win, this year, should be able to put to good use. And he ruined the big war in doing so. Not Shanks who made a sudden appearance and put an end to the war. Coby.
Guess I'll share my personnal opinion on this, too… Don't know if anyone else has already addressed the possibility or not, and don't feel like reading 280 pages just to find out, so meh :P
I think there's a good possiblity Brooke was the latest nakama to join the straw hats - for two reasons.
From very early in the journey, Luffy's been saying they should get a musician. That they needed a navigator, a cook, a doctor and a shipwright was only decided when the need for it became all too clear, right before they'd actually get someone to fill the opening. The need of a sniper or an archeologist was never even mentioned before they joined. I believe Oda's been foreshadowing that the crew would be "complete" once a musician joined the Straw Hats.
My other reason for having these thoughts, are the events on the Shabondy archipelago, id est, the falling apart. If the straw hats had found their way back to each other in no time, I wouldn't really think of this as much of a point, but by now, it's been over 50 chapters since they broke apart, and it doesn't look like they'll be rejoining right away. It strikes me as though the shattering of the crew is something to do, only once the crew is complete, and they then have to find each other again.
I am well aware that both my reasons are hardly evidence, and my gut feeling can be off from time to time, and I'm definitely not going to announce my thoughts as the one and only truth. It's just the impression I'm getting ^^
It's obvious, innit? Dupal is Red Leg Zeff! After Luffy took away Sanji, Baratie had pretty rubbish food to serve. People ain't gonna sail to the middle of nowhere to eat louzy cooking!
But seriously, I'd go for Bellamy.
I originally guessed Morgan, but some people have made a good point when saying his axe would get mentioned.
I agree that Krieg's life was ruined by Mihawk, there was nothing there to ruin when he bumped into the Strawhat Crew >_<
And well, Bellamy for all the reasons mentioned before. He did get kicked out of Don's New Age of Piracy or whatever it's called because of Luffy. He also got pretty much beaten up, it's fair to assume his face is enough of a mess to want to hide it. Of course, it looks like Bellamy was killed, but has Oda ever killed a named character we haven't only seen in flashbacks?
@Lobster:
Sure they were
Robin Vivi
Franky Wiper
They all seemed 100% enemy, at the very start. (well Robin was questionable)But still, when we first saw them, we had no clue that they wouldn't stay as enemies
Enemies, yes, but I can't really call any of them a big anti-hero like Picollo in Dragon Ball. Those would be people like Buggy, Kuro, Don Krieg, Arlong, Crocodile, Eneru, Spandam, Moria, Blackbeard, … Robin and Vivi were mere underlings, and even though Franky was the head of the Franky Family, he had to share his arc with CP9, so he couldn't be called a major villain either.
Thanks, BF, and thanks again, kudou for the trans. So cool :o
Aokiji thanks to his ice powers is actually hundreds of years old.
And he offed Odz the first time 'round.
Er… Dudes... Couldn't that be like, Dalton? You know... The bison devil fruit user who lives on Drum Island? It could be fucked up perspective (Oda is king of weird perspective which causes confusion such as the vast belief Moria and Kuma are about equally big), a strange mirage or something could be terribly wrong with him. I'll grant that it looks a bit big around the waist, but it seems a plausable explanation to me.
