Several should be dead, with the Buster Call and all.
Kaku-Not sure. KO'd
Jyabura-Kicked in the throat with a flaming foot. DEAD.
Kumadori-Attacked by monster, thrown out of building. DEAD.
Kalifa-Lightning. DEAD.
Fukouru-KO'd
Bluno-KO'd
What do you think?
Which CP9 should be dead?
-
-
I don't think Kaku is dead. He is too cool. ^_^
Jyabura could be dead.. If he gets his neck broken.
Kumadori is not dead. They can survive falling out of bulidings.
Kalifa could be dead.
Fukurou could be dead.
Blueno could be dead. I think he is the one that has the most chance of being dead personally. -
You're right. Blueno is right in the way of the Buster Call.
-
None since this is OP. As long as people have "will" they'll never die. At least according to Oda ^o^

right..en also..there's always enemies who turned from bad guy to good guy..

My sentiments exactly.

like Gedatsu, or maybe Hatchan, Wapol, BWThey didn't turn into good guys, or not all…
They're just making new livings after losing everything, not turning good....
I could see Rob Luchi dying....
The rest are alive. -
Jyabura is like the ONLY member with an actual personality (Other than Spandam), and he was the sole reason he kept me reading this arc because everyone else is so bland. Because of this, Jabs should stay alive. However, Fukouro, Calipha, and Blueno are absolutely useless and unnecessary so they should die (although Oda will likely be slick and keep most of them alive, like Baroque Works) which would be dissapointing.
-
I go with Zephos. Lucci is the only one with a chance of dying. And even then it's just a chance, but the way he seems to have little personality and is just there to kill, he could be seen as "expendable."
No one else, though.

Funny. I thought at least Fukurou and Kumadori had decent personalities (or they were at least comic relief). o_O
-
Sadly only goodies ever die in OP

Well…yeah but look: Bon Kurei and Django's personalities are comedy relief, but would you REALLY cal those "personalities"?
-

Ah, I hate it when people say things like, "no personality, no plot, or no story." Maybe I don't really know what personality means, but it's something you should be able to figure out by spending time with that person.
I think you could call their personalites "eccentric" and "weird." It's a personality that a lot of characters have in this series.
Frankly, I don't see how Jyabura has anymore personality then anyone, but I admit I don't really like him. He's…jealous, sneaky, insecure around Lucci, confident towards pirates, and likes killing people. He also likes wolves. That's what I saw in him.
Also, if anyone should be dead, it should be Calipha with the lighting through her heart. But no one dies in OP, so the point is moot.

I don't see it either. Wow, he's evil and likes to kill people and turn into a wolf and is Lucci's rival, OMG HIS PERSONALITY IZ SO COOL LOL. Well no.
Fukuro, Kumadori and Kaku were more unique. Blueno, Calipha and Lucci are pretty much the definition of blandness. Overall, CP9 really are forgettable villains.

I agree completely although Kudomari and Jyabura are awsome in the anime together
-
Personality-N.-
- The quality or condition of being a person.
- The totality of qualities and traits, as of character or behavior, that are peculiar to a specific person.
- The pattern of collective character, behavioral, temperamental, emotional, and mental traits of a person: Though their personalities differed, they got along as friends.
Jyabura is a person. He has traits that make him very distinguishable among CP9, including being the only one who can lighten up. His behavior CHANGES around different people (eg: He is rivals with Lucci, and scolds Fukurou for running his mouth "even though he has a zipper"). He has a quick temper and prone to anger when someone outsmarts him or when Kaku and Lucci become stronger than him. No one else in CP9 does this, therefore, he is the only one with a REAL personality.
Lay off of Jyabura's balls.
-
I think most of the CP9 are pretty enjoyable, particularly Jabura, Kumadori, and Fukuro. They're my favorite villain group so far, I like them a lot more than the majority of BW (OMG blasphemy) I never really bought into Kaku, though.

Well, all the CP9 have "traits and behavior," I mean I don't see how that distinguishes Jyabura that much.
But this changing around other people thing…that's what distinguishes Jyabura? What if a person views all people in a similar way? For example, Lucci changed a little when Jyabura mocked him (he mocked back), when Sanji broke into the train he showed distain and a short tolerance of people he view as "trash," and a cocky confidence when confronted by Luffy.
So wait, does that mean that Jyabura and Lucci are the only CP9 with personality? That doesn't seem right...
Come to think of it, what kind of person has no personality? I've never met one.
-
I'd be amazed if Kumadori survived Chopp-zilla…..'
If any of the CP9 would die, Lucci would be the one, imo.

What the hell are you talking about? All the characters in One Piece have personality traits. Hell, every CP9 members have clear cut personality traits. Jyabura is no different.
-Fukuro: frank, childish, given to mockery
-Calipha: feministic, idiotic, arrogant
-Kumadori: submissive to authority, poetic, and prone to extreme violence when humiliated
-Kaku: puerile, serious
-Lucci: sadistic, contemptuousIt doesn't mean they have great personalities. It's all very cliché and bland. The only exception being Blueno. There's nothing to his character. Completely empty shell.
-
Lucci has more personality than any other member in the cp9. You just have to have a better understanding, I mean you assume that he's just "sadistic" and "contemptuos."
I guess people forget the fact that he's a ventriloquist and that he walks around with a pidgeon, they even forget that Lucci showed Luffy his leapord form on water 7 just because he thought it was interesting.
Then again, I'm just a big Lucci fan, so I'm rather biased.
-
In OP, almost no villains die, so the CP9 are no different. Although Arlong and Bellamy are debatable.

Ironically, I found Jyabura LEAST interesting of the CP9. Kumadori's personality was hilarious, Califa is fanservicealicious (I think the hotness in 410 probably all but justifies her existence in the series all by itself), and Blueno's power was interesting. And I insist on knowing how Fukurou got his zipper.
I guess because he fights with Sanji and doesn't wield blades, I tend to think of Jyabura as a lot like Kuroobi, except Kuroobi seemed to be much more blowhardish which made him more fun. There's only so many variations on 'wolf shigan' you can do and still be creative.
-
Guys you all are missing some CP9ers who are dead aren't you?
Edit: if you can't figure out those are the ones from Robin's past
the ones who came with Spandine or whatever his name was!!! -
Lucchi is actually none to different from Zoro and Luffy, but with an evil streak.
All these damn dictators and meglomaniacs, and finally the main villain of an arc is more like our heros. -
I think the only ones with a chance of being dead are Jyabura and Kumadori. But I don't think any will be killed off, just stripped of their postition and made to sweep streets, or something.
-
Besides Kaku, Kumadori has the least chance of dying in my opinion.
Blueno has the most.
-
The next mini-arc will probably be Spandam's…
assuming the Straw Hats don't rip out all of his internal organs first...
-
It is highly unlikely that any member of CP9 will die, but the impact of the Buster Call makes their situation more uncertain. If Blueno regains consciousness, he could use his Air Door ability to get the other CP9 agents off the island before the Buster Call. It seems that most other CP9 members would not be able to get off the island without a boat or some other mode of transportation. Furthermore, none of them really seemed to like each other very much and they may choose not to cooperate even in the face of certain death by the Buster Call. I feel like Kaku will either meet up with the Mugiwara pirates or the Buster Call participants. He is still conscious (though apparently unable to move) and his likeness to Usopp has been mentioned, but not exploited yet. The chances of CP9 getting their own cover story seems odd to me right now, but, given the appearance of a full Baroque Works cover story, anything is possible. I personally think the next cover story will be the Foxy pirates in a Davy Back Fight (preferably against Buggy's crew).

What do you think?None should be dead. Usopp has survived a 10 ton hammer to the skull multiple times. All the strawhats have been electricuted with millions of volts (Enel). They've been blown up, cut up, even Luffy should not be resistant to bullets. Bullets would have cut right through his body like swiss cheese. Thus CP9 can't be dead. In fact nobody dies. Even Tom is alive. Prob. the head marine behind the gates of justice.
-
They won't die, they will just be knocked out for real with no chances of mini-arc for them, like Arlong (Hatchan… hmm). However, I would like to see Spandam dying. That guy gets me on nerve.
-
Nero deserves a slow, painful death. I hate him with passion. If he did drown in the ocean, he recieved a fate less than he derserved.
-

Oh yeah, the "rookie" CP9 Nero is probably dead!
Unless…he's in a mini story or something.
-
Edit: if you can't figure out those are the ones from Robin's past
the ones who came with Spandine or whatever his name was!!!They abandoned the island the same time Spandine did, so they're probably still alive.

He'll probably turn up in the makeshift boat that CP5-7 are rowing towards Enies Lobby.
-
I dont think any CP9 member, including Nero is dead. Come on people, I mean look at all the people Enel shocked in Skipea. At first, I thought they were all dead bu they're alive as well. Daz Bones also, in Arabasta it did look a lot like Zoro did kill him but he still lives. Finally, Crocodile. Being Gomu Gomu no Storm'd by Luffy in full hard impact would make an easy speculation he is dead but look at him now in a Mini-Story heading to freaging Impel Down. I know death does occur in One Piece but the only time I see most death involving a vital character in the series is mainly flashbacks. But even so, I dont think any CP9 member would be dead. Unless Oda decides now to make the manga way more darker considering the previous villains the Megiwaras faced aren't dead.
-
CP9 can easily get off the island w/o Blueno's help.
They have Geppou, unless they're all too beaten and tired to use it.anyways, there is no reason to kill them (except Spandam), so they'll all live.
-
@Daisuke:
But even so, I dont think any CP9 member would be dead. Unless Oda decides now to make the manga way more darker considering the previous villains the Megiwaras faced aren't dead.
I don't think he will change the story to a dark way.
Why dosen't he count?
Wait… I wrote non-sense there. Hatchan was a henchman, not Arlong self.
-
I know that none of the CP9 will die, but if I had my way Spandman will die a horrible death.
-
Nah, Spandam will just get sent to the booby hatch with Wanze. The only difference will be that he now sports a Sogeking mask to hide the tattered remnants of his face after Franky finishes what he started so long ago. The Phantom of the Nut House, or somesuch.
-
I hope Oda makes the story darker and actually kills of some of the characters. I still, however, would like to see some REAL personal.
-

I hope not. A dark One Piece story doesn't feel right.

Interesting idea. Nuthouse, lol.
-
that's true.. the only character deaths are goody-'father-figure' deaths.
otherwise, they just disappear and we never hear a winkle of them again. cos there's no way a pirate story can do without collateral damage ^^ -
@Pass:
I hope not. A dark One Piece story doesn't feel right.
Uh….most arcs in One piece are pretty dark....Arlong, Alabasta, Water7/Eneas Lobby...
A morose grim gritty noir esque One Piece wouldn't feel right.

Yes One Piece can get really dark at times like Zephos said. Lots of manga/Anime are like that. One Piece was really light in the beginning until Arlong Park arc came around.
-
My My isnt this turning into a popularity contest?
To be honest I'd like to see more deaths in OP… if one of CP9 died I would think it's Kumadori... he got destroyed by Chopper.
