Marvel Movies Thread - Holy Shitballs

Happy Daredevil day!
-
Just watched the first ep of the Netflix DareDevil.
It is damn good so far
-
Hot Toys spilled the beans and released pics of their Avengers: Age of Ultron figure for War Machine showing what the new "War Machine Mk II" armor will look like in the movie.
Confirming both that War Machine will in fact be suiting up in the movie, and that he's back to War Machine, no more Iron Patriot!

Really Damn good.
-
I am loving the way Netflix doesn't have to water down the show - man they are graphic as in it - didn't notice any swearing but the show was happy to show bloody violence for sure.
I'm 3 episodes in, watching the rest after work. I love how its just completely different in a good way. This is not your Flash - Arrow - AOS …. however it is a little bit Gotham maybe?
-
Confirmed release for April 22nd at midnight (Wednesday going into Thursday) in my country.
SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER EXCITED!!!!
-
I'm gonna have to avoid this thread like wildfire for spoilers.
….then again, I've missed so many news lol
-
I suppose now's as good as any time to warn about spoilers.
-
Just finished watching Dardevil all the 13th episode and I have to say I loved it, looking forwad to Jessica, Luke and Iron Fist series being as good as this one atleast.
! The only thing that bothered me was Ben Urich dying…
! Now I would really love a new season with Bullseye as the main villain but I assume their priorities is doing the other 3 series and then the supposed Defenders(Heroes for Hire) series. -
Watched the first two daredevil episodes and like it waaay more than that watered down and kinda lame, at least from what I've seen of it so far, agents of shield. The main cast so far is also in no way as annoying as the aos one.
-
Watched Daredevil as well, damn get wrecked Arrow. It was the best parts of Arrow to me without all the eye rolling cheese(ok maybe a little because horns on costume, but come on I feel they earned that). Also no eye rolling drama.
The cast they got was really damn good with some outstanding presences among them(Old chinese woman, Fisk, old guy with stick, a few more).
And most importantly this season had a satisfying end but the series as a whole left so many interesting points that can still be explored. Also with this and Carter, Shield just makes me even sadder come on guys there get your shit together.
-
What? Shield has the not-talented Whedon brother showrunning it, and arbitrarily had to spin its wheels for the first 9/10 of the first season due to the Captain America twist.
Of course it was going to suck.
-
There's an embargo on actual Reviews of Age of Ultron, but reviewers who got to see it were allowed to give quick impressions via Twitter and so far the consensus is: it's amazing.
Hype levels rising.

First image of Negasonic Teenage Warhead
-
OMG she looks like a goth Sinnead O'Connor.
I think what they're doing is just taking the bull by the horns and releasing their own pictures to appease the fans before the paparazzi can get any more set photos.

Marvel released another "teaser for a trailer" for Ant-Man:
Also? Mark Ruffalo would totally go for a Planet Hulk movie.
http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/04/11/mark-ruffalo-interested-in-doing-planet-hulk-movie -
Well, they'd better nail this trailer because the first one didn't win anyone over.
-
That scene where he lands seems like a direct lift from a similar scene in Iron Man.
-
Ant-man trailer is here:
-
Totally up for that movie the action looks way more interesting that I thought it could be. At least in that department it seems to offer something newish/fresh.
I hope it's good and not just ok. -
Story is still not winning me but the comedy and action sure is!
-
The bit with the train at the end actually made me laugh out loud.
-
"A soldier with the size of an insect…The ultimate secret weapon."
...What?
-
"A soldier with the size of an insect…The ultimate secret weapon."
...What?
Near impossible to see, incredibly easy to infiltrate enemy lines, surprise attacks, spying, easy to escape or hide.
All definite advantages, given that they retain their full size force and don't just become squishy.
"Secret" is the key there, more than "weapon".
Bit bored by the who "villain steals the heroes' gimmick and they fight using the same powers" thing. I know, its what the comics do, but usually thats just one villain of a roster… not their origin first experience enemy... and given how many origins we've had now... (At least Iron Man 3 mixed it up an it wasn't a guy in a robot suit again.)
-
The action looks, ironically, Spiderman-kinda fun. No web-shooters but he's running around jumping over and scaling the walls and stuff. Plus, I look forward to seeing him interacting with the ants. He's the general of his own army!
@Nex:
The bit with the train at the end actually made me laugh out loud.
Same. It's what won me over more than the action.

Not super excited for Ant Man because I want Hank Pym and Wasp to be the heroes of this movie so the trailers aren't doing anything for me, I have no issues with Lang and I would like to see him maybe appearing in an Ant Man 2 as Ant Man and Pym could become YellowJacket, even worse they are making Pym the villain which annoys me even more but ever since they made Tony create Ultron it was pretty obvious that Pym importance to the MCU wouldn't be that big.
I'm more interested in the Captain Marvel, Dr Strange and Black Panther movies.

Huh? Where did you get this from? Judging from the trailers, he seems more like the wise mentor character type…of course, there could always be a twist.

I see him battling Ant Man as YellowJacket and I dont see any other villain being mentioned, so I assume thats it, maybe I'm wrong I hope I'm wrong.
Edit: Brain fart, just went to the wikia and Darren Cross, I though it was Pym in the Yellowjacket outfit Oo, does this guy have power of his own? I know he appeared recently in the recent Ant man comics but from what I'm reading he was never Yellowjacket.
@Cyan:
Yellow Jacket and Hank are distinct characters here.
Hank is played by Michael Douglas, for one.
Yeah decided to wiki it to see if Wasp was on this and noticed that.

They also merged Crimson Dynamo and Whiplash in Iron Man to make one villain. And had Winter Soldier show up in Cap's life almost immediately instead of after 20 years of being thawed out. Movies are taking some liberties and making changes.

In a pre-Newsroom world, I would've said fuck off. But Sloan Sabbith made me change my mind on her.

A clip of the Hulkbuster vs. The Hulk from Age of Ultron:
http://www.ign.com/videos/2015/04/14/marvels-avengers-age-of-ultron-hulkbuster-clip! They're in WAKANDA.
-
They're totally promoting Civil War. :ninja:
! They're in WAKANDA.
!
! But is that true? It sure doesn't look like Wakanda. I should say it doesn't look like Wakanda "to me". I always pictured Wakanda to have a more interesting architecture and a more advanced design. Look at the cars they're driving and the buildings. Looks like any normal city you would see in any country in Africa. Wakanda is supposed to have developed much faster and nearly completely isolated/cut itself off from the rest of the world. That area at least doesn't strike me as 'Wakanda' or anything special.
! Of course I'm judging from a 1 minute clip and a single scene so…yeah. I just hope they didn't dumb down or modernize Wakanda to make it more relatable/understandable to the audience or something. That would be dumb. They have a giant green monster fighting a dude in a robot suit for goodness sake. -
hihihi.

! Yeah, I too pictured Wakanda as a bit more different, but in the end Wakanda is just as modern, or even more than the rest of the world. Their tech out-ranks the rest of the world, but that doesn't mean they use it in EVERY aspect of their country. Or they could be fighting in the slums.
! The real question is: Will Black Panther show up? -
! I would assume that, if there's at least one scene of them in Wakanda, that there would be a Black Panther cameo. Maybe not AS Black Panther. He might just be introduced as T'Challa and not wear the suit yet but it would be such a tease to have Stark and Banner go to Wakanda and not meet him.

Now anew F4 trailer…the hits just keep coming.
-
Huh, Sue is the adopted one. That's curious.
And yes, finally the Doom mask.
-
Reed failing to properly answer Johnny's brofist is cute.
-
It's a better trailer than the first one though it still doesn't really tell you anything. There were some good gags here and there where at least they're not going full grimdark. Don't like how they're closer to teenagers here than adults. We'll see, still not holding my breath for this one.
-
Wow, F4 looks like it has a chance to be not awful.
-
I also don't like that they're so young.
And Doom… I've never been fond of him in the comics and he already was the bad guy in the other films.! I hope there's a second villain, like Annhilus or Blastaar, coming from the other world (I don't know if they have said something about it but I suppose it is the Negative Zone)
-
-
I dig the trailer and looking forward to the reactions to the movie, but then I carry chronicle bias.
-
Okay I'm in. This week has been awesome.
-
Not a fan of how they're teenagers/almost teenagers. Sue being the adopted one is surpising, but now that I know she's the adopted one, it's annoying that they kept her white rather than let her and Reed have an inter-racial marriage. The Thing looks awesome.
Other than that . . . . . . eh.
-
! Okay does it look like Doom has been stuck in the Negative Zone because if that's the case then I'm really into this movie.
