It never was, however there are a total of 7 alcoves shown in the vault of chapter 906 so several theories currently revolve around each of them holding an item of similar importance to the oversized straw hat - however important that may be.
It would be severe trolling on Oda's part if that hat had anything to do with the yeti cool brothers, though

If this is true, its likely that those other treasures aren't there anymore, since the straw hat's alcove is the only one that's lit up.

I don't click with everything in this theory… but I have to admit Gran D. Line is a sexy name. I failed to find many post referencing it but I might be struggling advanced search. The thing I love is that it explains why poneglyphs are only found in Grand Line.

This chapter was the best one that Oda has ever made online. Better than the last few years with the recent reveal of that Natural Treasure shown. I might make a video on the next chapter once it comes out. Fingers crossed for another big twist.

From what we know the shandians used to live in shandora before that nation was destroyed in the closing moments of the void century but the shandians lived on in villages, protecting the poneglyphs. I feel like Wano being the ancient kingdom would be too much like that and since Wano is still evidently a thriving enough nation I feel such a lost kingdom would be better hidden.
I did see someone hypothesize that the ancient kingdom is in mariejois and is underneath the sprawling city and that seemed dystopian in a cool way. One of the only things i liked about the prequels was in episode 2 they had lower levels which were poorer and remnants of the long past

So my theory about the national treasure is that it takes the shape of an item that is currently having the momentum of fate to become a ruler (is this case the pirate king).
So it can change it appearance but is always the same size.
I think it just changed to the strawhat a short time ago and that's why the guy got the bounty posters, to see if it's the same as Luffy's hat.
My other prediction is that the second bounty poster is that of Roger while he was still wearing the hat.If you can get yout hands on this item your own fate would improve till the time the national treasure changed again.
I like this theory, the idea that a hat is the national treasure with the power that Doffy hinted doesn't feel right to me,so my first thoughts were like you, an item that takes a shape to shows biggest treat to user or where is momentum of power in the era.
Other theory would be that the room itself is scrying room that allows the user to look trough the history of a person or item and the bounty behind luffy's is an early one of roger when he still had the hat, and the person just decided to look trough the hats history.

- The name of the chapter in the official translation is "Sacred Marijoa". As usual, VIZ is consistent with their naming even after the official spelling is shown to be something different.
- When Neptune gives his permission for the Ryugyu royals to walk on the normal path, the following bubble in Jaimini's Box says "I will also accompany you" (so it seems like this is still Neptune speaking), and Mangastream is a bit ambiguous but seems to imply the same thing. ("We shall accompany you, then", with "we" possibly meaning Neptune and the other two princes.) The official version says "We shall accompany you, Majesty", showing that it's the guards/security/the like who are talking.
- Stelly mispronounces the travelators as "troublooters" in VIZ (and basically the same thing, spelled differently, in MS). When he's corrected, he replies with "That's what I said!" in the scanlations, but with "You could call it that as well!" in the official.
- In the scanlations, the Ryugyu's guide tells them that even their family members won't have time to be bored. In the official version, it's instead just stated that the nobles themselves won't have time for relaxation.
- When apologizing for Shirahoshi, Fukaboshi says in JB that Shirahoshi has her own unique dialect, while in MS and VIZ, he states that she was using a local saying (as in, from the Fishman dialect in general).
- A few MS screw-ups: For some reason, MS states that Vivi traveled with the Straw Hats as a navigator. JB just says she traveled with them "as part of their crew", while in VIZ, it says she traveled with them "on their adventures". Also, MS weirdly has Sai respond to Leo's question of why he's there if he's a pirate with "Heh, lemme tell you a thing or two!", when in JB and VIZ, he responds with "You're a pirate, too!"/"Hey, same to you!" Thirdly, MS screws up Wapol's speech quirk and has him call Vivi an idiot (which would be "baka"), while the quirk is that he flips those two syllables and instead says "kaba", which means "hippo". JB and VIZ get this right.
- Kinderella's "Koshi" laugh that she makes in the scanlations is translated to "dig" in the official version, and the "tama no" to "gold", so her full laugh is literally "Gold-dig dig dig".
JB also references something similar with a TN that states her laugh could be a reference to a story called "tama no koshi", meaning "marrying into money" - Wapol states in MS that he knows Cobra is "good", but in JB and VIZ, instead notes that Cobra doesn't look well. well not really..roger was a big pirate but he never went against the world government itself…basically as robin explained back at the gallely la between enies lobby and thriller bark, pirates are a thron in the side of the marines but they would never challenge the WG directly, that is the role of the revolutionaries.
well the bounty poster seems to indicate that only now luffy has become big enough to be considered by the celestial dragons of some importance, otherwise the guy/gal in the shadowns would stare a hole on the bounty posters only now.
Question is, if the WG was Aware of Roger knowing the secret of this world. IF they knew, he might have been a bigger threat to the WG than your average pirate.
My guess is, that they probably knew, so they wanted to make an example of his execution to scare off other prates. Unfortunately for them, Roger's execution turned out the opposite way and he made a lot of pirates lookin for his "treasure".I still like the idea of that item being some Kind of Oracle.

Good Point. My guess is that Roger had one AW (as Shiki stated in ch. 0), but it wasn't Poseidon, as Shirahoshi wasn't Born back then. So I guess, that Roger stayed "inactive" because (at least) of the "lack of Poseidon".
Interesting enough, that the WG decided to call Roger "Gold Roger" instead of "Gol D. Roger". I really like to know the Connection between all the D.s throughout the history.
Garp and Saul ended up being marines. They haven't been considered a threat (in Saul's case, at the start) by the WG. IMO the WG saw them as "unaware enemies".
The question also is how many People within the WG know the true Story of the world. IDK if Sengoku knows though. He was pissed at WB's last speech, but maybe he just predicted what WB last line would be and this last line made even more pirates sail to search for the One Piece. -
Ah, I shouldn't have had to ask in the first place, it is actually basically the same. The damn French language puts so many superfluous vowels on the end of everything, I lost track of which ones I was and wasn't meant to pronounce. I was giving a sound to the e on the end of Geoise when I shouldn't have been. Everything makes a lot more sense now, thanks.

"Geoise" would be pronounced "joaze" in french. Or "joazu" in japanese. It's an actual mistake, it doesn't make sense for it to be written like that. "Geois", without the final 'e' would be correct. No, a word final "e" after "s" and other consonants is usually silent unless a diacritic is used while a word final "s" after a vowel is usually silent. So the word final "(e)s" in Gauloises is silent. Chrior explains is properly on this page as it relates to the names in OP

It's really minor but I still don't get the stairs. If the are so big then how do the normal sized humans even walk up them? They'd have to jump n climb up each step.

I guess the statues going up to the holy land represent the kings. But more importantly, as we saw with the moving floors, the entire holy land has been built upon slavery. So the statues, carving into the Red Line, was probably worse than that bridge they were building now.
Good on Shirahoshi turning everyone down. Given that this Re..Lev Ely is going to end badly. It is good to know that all of Luffy's allies are already friends. Carue's jealousy was really funny. The stare getting deeper and deeper. Dalton's Flex! The hat is most likely a trophy. Or at least I hope it is just that. For now, Joy Boy most likely candidate. Mango most likely was talking about the person looking at the hat. Which makes sense with what he said of needing the Ope-Ope no Mi.
