@captain:
[hide]it's not about her choosing though. it's about society's view. showing off a little cleavage is acceptable. she's not dressing like a hooker. Is she never allowed to wear a tank top cause god forbid the poor girl has cleavage. I have a girl friend who doesn't wanna wear shorts cause she thinks she has fat legs and doesn't want to be judged. so….she's not allowed to wear shorts..... she's an awesome person with an awesome fashion sense. Who cares if her legs arn't perfect. We shouldn't be judging her like that. My friend is awesome. Lindsy is a good reviewer. And Batman and Franky cosplayers are entertaining and fun. No one cares about their package. And Charli's Angels could have been about cool detective women instead of T&A and hair if society cared about anything else.[/hide]
I think, as a girl, you take for granted just how magical and mesmerizing boobs are. And cleavage is awesome, I'm all for it being shown whenever.
I'm NOT saying Lindsay can't wear what she wants. And I AM agreeing that her audience being crude even with conservative non-showy outfits is dumb, and yes, there IS a terrible double standard at play in society.
When she does wear very revealing outfits (and she often does) knowing that she's being filmed and going to be showing that to thousands of people.. when she chooses to show that much cleavage to an audience, she is aware of what she is showing. All I'm saying is there is a difference between casual clothes among friends and normal life, and professional recorded for posterity presentation. What she chooses to show is exactly her choice.
The EXACT same thing applies to Spoony. He wears casual t-shirts (granted shirts with neat pictures on them) but also doesn't have a haircut, is usually unshaven, his hair looks greasy and he looks like a slob… and people say he looks like a slob when he does! It's different, but that's not a double standard there. That's how you present yourself for your JOB. The presentation you make when you know in advance that you're presenting, is your own call. (Most of the other reviewers just go with a single costume theme to get around this entirely.)
If it were in her contract that "you must show off this much" like it was a hooters bar, that'd be completely different. And 7 of 9 is the first time I've heard of her actually complaining about what she HAD to wear, as opposed to what she chose to wear of her own accord.
and thus far, I don't understand what's so bad about her costume in to boldly flee? seems fine to me.
It's very form fitting.
