@Purple:
Have you received a message from God?
All the shit I get from him goes into my Spam Folder.

“I want to know if any of them have received a word from God on what they should do and take care of first.”
@Cyan:
In essence, "What has God told you prioritize in your presidency?"
lol Thanks .
-
The only one who debated tonight who I'd want to even catch a glimpse of the white house might be Kasich.
-
I was at work tonight. How'd it go?
Aside from the hysteria I'm seeing from these comments.
-

Like watching a clown car catch fire.
Comically mortifying.

11/10 Best comedy of the year.
But actually, Trump got considerably slapped around quite a bit; not so popular anymore. But perhaps THAT goldmine hasn't come to a full stop yet.
-
The moderators threw questions tailor-made to undermine Trump's game.
Trump legit just powered through it and got the most applause.

lol. Shouldn't be surprised.
-
So somebody willing to give me a list of faux pas Carson committed? How many times did he try to fall back on his 'neurosurgeon credentials'?
-
Kasich seems pretty darn good for a Republican.

Seriously, someone should make an edit of the JBBA "Road-Roller" gif but swap out DIO's face with Trump's and add in "3rd Party" text over the steam roller.
Best possible analogy if he does go third party (which he WILL).
-

Trump is not the Officially Approved Fox News candidate and they went after him; it didn't really work though since he managed to deflect the questions and get the most applause.
Kasich probably got the second-most applause but they held the debate in his state so most of the crowd probably voted for him. He seemed determined to appear the moderate.
Huckabee and Walker were their usual dickish selves.
Rand Paul got into fights with Trump and Christie; he mainly came across as a petulant tool.
The only memorable thing Christie did was get in that fight with Paul.
Jeb Bush had a pretty poor performance despite getting a ton of time compared to some of the others. Trump scored a bunch of points off of him.
Carson was often forgotten and gave particularly rambling speeches when they remembered he existed.
Rubio and Cruz might as well not have been there. -
So I guess if they do manage to push Trump off the wagon Kasich has a pretty good chance of nomination then?
-

Believe me, they're trying to push him off with all of their might and with everything they've got.
But even if they do manage to fend off the Trump-roller there is still a lot of question as to who will take the lead, but your guess seems pretty accurate nonetheless.

Damn he winged it and looked good doing it?
I don't know whether to be shocked or disappointed.

These races have to have their token black guys or females who the party knows good and damn well won't go deep.
-

Oh, hell, no.
Kasich probably only made it into the debates because they were in Ohio; his numbers are awful and there's not much overlap between his potential supporters and Trump's.
If Trump goes out, most of his supporters will probably switch over to Rubio or Paul rather than Kasich.
If Bush drops out, those people I could see migrating over to Kasich but not Trump's.

I don't know whether to be shocked or disappointed.
I don't know if I'd say he looked good; a lot of his "answers" didn't have anything to do with his questions but he tended to be aggressive, took shots at the other candidates, and came across as confident, which the people there responded to. In an actual debate, he probably would have had a disastrous performance but he did pretty much what he needed to in this dog and pony show.
These races have to have their token black guys or females who the party knows good and damn well won't go deep.
Carson doesn't have the shlocky charm of Herman Cain though.
-

Granted this is always how Rand Paul comes across. It runs in the family.
-
Carson doesn't have the shlocky charm of Herman Cain though.
Carson gets to play the "smart black guy" given his neurosurgeon credentials though, no?
-
FOX seems to be pushing Huckabee as the guy who made the best showing this debate. I really like the idea of a divided republican base. The people at bottom want Trump the people at the top want anyone who isn't Trump.
With any luck they'll do more damage to each other than the Dems will ever be able to.
-

So basically he did what pretty much all these guys usually do when interviewed or asked questions.
In an actual debate, he probably would have had a disastrous performance but he did pretty much what he needed to in this dog and pony show.
Hmmm so it's disappointment it is then. But then again part of me is hoping Trump goes all the way just to see the party forced to resign itself to the same disappointment they did with Mitt followed by Karl Rove levels of shit losing on election night.

Take a drink every time they mentioned Obamacare and Reagan.

Please don't encourage such reckless behaviour.
@Ubiq:I would suggest a drinking game but I don't want to kill anybody.
-
Fox tried to sink Christie too by sticking him in the most fights, but in his shouting matches he usually looked like the more pragmatic person. Guy might be a dickbag but at least he's not a complete loon.
Jeb is the establishment pick and the likeliest candidate but he just can't seem to stand out at all. His was easily one of the more forgettable performances of the night. Does he even want to be president?

Ok I just watched the clip of kaisch talking about gay marriage and I like him. Now I have someone I can tell the fam that I like with a straight face
-
Did they ended talking about Hillary as proposed?
-
Did they ended talking about Hillary as proposed?
Hillary was probably mentioned more than Obama or any other candidate. The candidates were happy to take potshots at her and a few of the moderators' questions even used her as a framing device. The debate was relatively polite in terms of jabs at fellow Republicans, which meant most of the zingers came at the expense of the White House or Hillary.
-
Going to a super-liberal college in Ohio I know that a LOT of people are very upset with Kasich and his governorship due to how much anti-choice stuff he's pushed through, but the other guy in the last election was a slime ball and pretty much dead on arrival as a candidate, so we have him for another 3 years… He seems to be a likable guy which is why he's gotten two terms in office, but being the most "moderate" republican these days is like only having stage 1 skin cancer instead of pancreatic cancer.
-
PBS has a breakdown of the debate.
http://www.pbs.org/newshour/data/2016-debates/
I'm surprised that Cruz spoke as much as he did; he made zero impression in the debate. Rubio barely did as well; there seems to be a lot of hype for him and I've seen a lot of analysts pick him as the winner of the debate but I can't really recall anything he said.
-
After hearing the expected outcome of Trumps candidacy from people here, its weird to see just how well he pulled it off. To be honest it feels like he is creating most of his success from simply playing the politician game like a comedian, or maybe by just not acting like a politician at all.
Or to simplify how I feel…..
!
-
Rick Perry can't remember the name on the Department Of Energy and Trump apparently can't remember what a vagina is…..doesn't he use a mirror everyday?
-

While he's no p****, he's definitely some sort of c***.
-
Trump clearly felt he didn't meet his offensive sound byte quota last night and needs to make up for it.

Reading that, I give Kasich credit for being apparently the only guy to fully believe in Climate Change.
But Rand Paul? Shutting down the Department of Education? FUCK. YOU.
-
Rand Paul would be legitimately happy if we were still using the Articles of Confederation.
-
Holy shit, Donald freaking Trump advocated for universal health care once?
And I stand by my statement that Kasich would be the least bad republican if one were to just focus on his personal stances and traits. As president he'd still be an enabler for all the far right nutjobs in congress and would tip the Supreme Court firmly into conservative/regressive territory even more than it already is. But it's still amazing to me that these clowns are all making Romney look absolutely terrific in comparison.
-
Romney WAS governor of my very liberal home state of Massachusetts. And he DID sign our state health care law, something he desperately tried to hide when he was running. Not that he particularly backed it, but he still signed it.
-

Despite what people think, that is not what he is advocating for.

lol you don't know what those are do you.

NPR took the time to count out the references to things in the debate.

What's the endgame here?
To make every state as stupid as places like Mississippi & Florida.

huh I didn't know Florida was worse then Texas. If so then that's pretty bad!.
-
Fox scrubbed the debate transcripts to make Jeb look better.
-
Making a Bush look good?
Hell of a challenge even for Fox News.
-
Begun these Republican civil wars have.

Not a good look for us
I appreciate the sentiment, but why BERNIE?
