How was your Day 2 (general chat)

Again, I had to go to hospital to get Some free medicine. What was supposed to be fast, it took 6 hours. My feet hurt …At least I made some friends with the people who were waiting in line, I met several people of various nationalities, all latin america. A funny part, there were a revolting guy, filming the situation with his smartphone, saying stuff like "This is why I hate Brasil", when people noticed he was filming, the people started to scold the guy, saying things like "stop complaining, if you don´t like your country leave it".
After waiting for 6 hours, I picked my now cleaned plush (only cirno) in the laundry store and I bought a shampoo to kill fleas (I think now my dogs are safe)
My vacation is almost here !!! Soon I will go to Baltimore !! It´s been 14 years, I just can´t wait.
Things I REALLY don´t want to know/listen/talk right now = Vocaloid, Vines and Vegans.
(Blame my GF).:ninja: -
Yesterday was a pretty good day. I went around the Sodus area and took lots of pictures with my grandpa, and helped both of my grandparents with the garden by drawing some of the rows, picking the spinach that was ready, and planting. There were so many peppers and peas to plant, not to mention transplanting the cucumber plants. The garden still looks a bit empty aside from the lettuce, spinach, tomato plants, and sprouting beets, but in about a month, it'll look awesome. All in all, I had a nice time with my grandparents as usual. You know, they're not going to be around forever, so it's important to treasure all the moments you have with your grandparents. :)

We are having a movie festival of One Piece in México and i got excited these past weekend that i saw a girl dressed as Chopper. Now i have the curiosity of doing cosplay at least the last weekend but i don't know who should i cosplay at or even if i will. My friends say i should do Chopper but i don't think i look like him xD I want to do something that resembles me or my doby at least a little i guess?

I tried posting on your profile and sending you a PM. But neither worked. ._. So I'll just abuse this thread to tell you just how ADORABLE your sig is. :>

….oh!
Forgive my rambling, Riddler. Don't feel bad at all for being emotional or what have you, some things really just get to you, hard. Terribly sorry to hear about what happened to your neighbor and cat. :-(
Don`t be silly. I like reading your rambling, seriously

Ah, thank you! Hetalia isn't my favorite series (it's lower on my list), but Russia is one of my most favorite anime/manga characters.
And sorry about that, I went private a couple months ago, but maybe it would be okay to switch back.
-
Oh yeah, while I was in another city yesterday, I saw a bunch of people filming a scene for a movie (a Tina Fey one, I was told)! Really cool, considering I've never seen something like this back home.
Today I won on a scratch-off, but lost on others. And lost a little at the casino.
Don`t be silly. I like reading your rambling, seriously
Well I'm kinda flattered…..:3

Ugh. worked by myself all day today, doing carts, cleaning up the maintenance closet with all those ugly cockroaches crawling around the place. FUCK MY JOB FOR REAL!! ><
In other news, only two days away until I hit the big 30. My folks and I are going to that new water park that opened up recently
-
Just've been informed. I will do another work related trip; this time to AX in LA. So, sweet :3
Oh, so if you're an american we can see get to know me! Or even sock me one if you fuckin hate me!

It's only 4:30 and I'm exhausted.
Been feeling antsy all day yesterday and woke up the same today. Finally figured out it started when I opened up the Charter bill for the TV/phone/net bundle and saw the bill for next month was to be $200:blink:
So I spent this morning on the phone with first AT&T then back to Charter Communications to change things around.Got the bill to AT&T paid off, but then they decided to "check my credit" (I don't need to check it I KNOW it sucks), well they said due to bad credit I'd owe a fee of $400 to get connected. Sure I can understand they see me as a risk because of that bad credit, and 'want to ensure they don't loose money with someone with bad credit'. But NO WAY will -or can- I pay $400 up front to just get cable.
So AT&T was out and I was on the phone with Charter.
First off, turns out the bill as rising due to the previous bundle's special price ending, so I just dropped the bundle. After talking to them of various prices, I decided to go with just internet service and no phone, no cable. It will cost me only around $40 or $42 (not sure of taxes) a month so saving a lot there. I still have a few days on the previous billing statement (suppose to end on 22nd) so was going to have them cut off the TV then. They were going to mail me a new modem for the increase of internet speed.
Around noon I lost my internet connection. I had an old modem and thought "hey maybe it just needs to cool off…I hope" ... no such luck. An hour later still no connection. Suspicious, I tried the TV ... and no signal cue face fault
SoOoOoOooo .... back on the phone (so glad I use a tracfone and can pay as I go!) with Charter. Turns out I don't only have an old modem... its so old its an outdated model! With how Charter had doubled their speed, the previous modems are out. Still no explanation on WHY the TV is also off when it wasn't suppose to be until late Saturday. They scheduled a tech to come visit tomorrow.
An hour later there is a tech from Charter here. Yeah I was surprised too.
Turns out they did not give an exact date of service for the tech to come by, they just had a work order up and filed it in for whoever can come by. (Which makes me think that is what happened earlier to TV/internet - they didn't' specify day of change) But I'm not complaining, I got a new modem today, my service is restored and the old modem and the DVR and remote for the cable was able to send back with the tech so I didn't have to find someone to drive me to their store. Now All I need to do is get Netflix or figure out Hulu so I can watch shows
-
Ugh, work was a pain in the ass as always.
Anyway my birthday has arrived and the first present I got was a DVD boxset of Batman TAS volume 1 from my mom!
I have always loved that show since I was kid! :D
Anyway, I'm hoping to get more gifts soon!
-
^ooh congrats! 'Tis an awesome show.
Also last night we….finally? caught the mouse that's been scurrying about our apartment, right in a glue trap. But I'm still paranoid that it's not the first one I saw that started this whole thing.
-
I've been cleaning the house and cutting the grass. Finally the weather is hot compared to last week

This post is deleted!

So, i was just here thinking how this whole fuckin' sucked ranging from getting my bathroom floooded cause of the rain (i live in a third floor, riddle me that) to getting food posioning today (throwing up the food you just ate, twice the flavor!) and i thought "Well, the week is over. Don't worry. It's over." And at that moment the new wireless mouse that i bought a week ago and just started to use yesterday stops working.
Someone, please just hold me.
edit: Also, all the props to Eppodie for helping me through all of it :3

Pretty happy to be back home at last :D

Today I went to lunch with my girlfriend, we went to a new hamburger restaurant that opened a franchise here. The only problem, the menu was in english, the price of the burgers was not in dollars, which was a relief.
My girlfriend did not like that and said she would sue the place.
And so we ate at BK and saw Argentina VS Iran (when Argentina scored a goal, everyone booed).
Funny.

I could not understand what was going on in the Godfather and the Godfather Part II.
the acting was great.
the action was epic (gunz and stabbingz)
mike's character arc was interesting.
But I couldn't really "sync" with it.
It could just be me, but I wish there was some more exposition or clearness or whatever.. It didn't help that I couldn't understand half of what Marlon Brando was saying in part 1.

They're really not very complex movies lol.
Any parts in particular that confused you?Part I:
A mafia family where the youngest son is returning from WW2 and the daughter has just gotten married.
The Don turns down a business deal with a drug seller.
The drug seller allies with a rival family and attempts to assassinate the Don.
The family crisis draws the youngest son into the business, even though he was uninvolved before.
He volunteers to kill the drug seller and a corrupt cop working with him.
He does this and it launches a violent mob war, the son is sent to Sicily to hide him during this period.
The husband of the daughter is acting abusive to the daughter which infuriates the oldest son.
The rival mob pays the husband to rile the oldest son up again and draw him out of safety, where he is killed.
The Don is getting old and weak, and his heir is dead, and his middle son (Fredo) is incompetent.
The youngest son returns from Sicily and begins to take his father's place.
After the Don dies, the rival mobs are prepared to kill the youngest son (who is now the next Don) off. But he has them all killed before they can, as well as the traitors.Part 2: Has two stories.
1: Young Vito
-His family is being killed off due to a vendetta with a local crime boss so he is eventually sent away to America to save his life
-In America he grows up in Little Italy in Manhattan
-He witnesses a small time crime boss bullying local people and dissaproves
-he gets involved with crime to make ends meet with some guys
-Eventually he senses weakness with the local crime boss, and kills him fearing no repercussion
-He takes his place as a more benevolent local mob boss
-He goes back to Sicily and avenges his brothers, father and mother by killing the boss back there2: Don Michael
-The Corleones have moved to Nevada
-Mike is making deals with a Jewish mob boss named Hyman Roth, even though Roth's people are making trouble back in NYC
-Someone tries to kill Michael in his room
-Mike sniffs around both Roth and his underlings back in NYC to see who might have ordered the hit, he suspects Roth
-He accompanies Roth to Cuba to make corrupt deals with the pre-Castro dictatorship, Fredo comes along
-Mike's brother Fredo seems to know Roth, making Mike suspicious
-Mike concludes Roth tried to have him killed, an assassination attempt fails on Roth
-Mike accuses Fredo of involvement and loses track of him in the crowd
-Cuban revolution occurs, the mob people flee back to the US
-Mike's wife leaves him
-Mama Corleone dies
-Fredo crawls back to the family filled with guilt
-Mike has Roth and others killed….including Fredo
-He ends the movie alone and cold but powerfulPart two really emphasizes the contrast with what you could call the "right" way to run a mob family. As family/community oriented. You see this with young Vito in Little Italy taking out the petty thug boss in the white suit and becoming a sort of fatherly figure in the community that highly highly prizes his family. Even going back and avenging his parents and brother after like 30 years in Italy. The past scenes are all warm and brown and filled with a strong sense of Italian culture too, half the lines even are in Italian. Family family family community community community.
Meanwhile the present scenes show that Mike and the family are losing their touch with all those things. They're over in the ultimate plastic world of Nevada away from even their New World roots in NYC. The family is drifting apart with no real centerpoint, Mike is cold and harsh. Instead of avenging family he ends up ordering his own and last surviving brother killed. His wife leaves him. The last real link to a family family, the Mom, dies. And yeah just the little details about the loss of culture/family leading to a sort of cold corporate mafia that produces nothing good.
Compare the band here with the Feast of San Genaro scene during the past.

Well, México´s Rainy Season just decided that the whole building where i live needs a new wall and since i'm always depressed or stressed out i also need a new pool in my kitchen. Yay!

Well, México´s Rainy Season just decided that the whole building where i live needs a new wall and since i'm always depressed or stressed out i also need a new pool in my kitchen. Yay!
 ouch…did the wall give way or just leaking.
I'm sure hoping that I just misread the "the whole building where i live needs a new wall" part did not mean the wall fell down... that is it image that popped into my head reading that.
Considering the time, I'm hoping its just a major leak. Yeah that would suck -majorly- but is better able to deal with than a missing wall -
Uh, i don't know the english word but the water is infiltrating the wall and like, "corroding" them i guess? So the water isn't coming from a hole or a pipe but from inside the wall and now it even feels soft so the last plumber told me that maybe they will have to open it ahd change the whole pipeline (in the whole building) and now that i saw this last storm…yeah, i'm pretty sure that's what's gonna happen.

So I spent last week in Serbia. The country itself feels pretty tense with the Hungarians and the Serbs living so close together and not really liking each other.
But oh boy did I enjoy every minute I was there~ First, on Friday, there was a birthday party at my friend's house with some friends, my love came to Budapest, we slept at our friend's place, then went home, and next day, we were off to Serbia, the two of us. I was there for almost a whole week spending each moment with him <3 Of course I cried when I finally had to go, but I guess it's normal for some people. He was always beside me, holding my hands, hugging me, I kissed him whenever I wanted.
Also, we agreed that we will fight for each other~
It was a good week~~
-
Yesterday I was told by my boss that one of my favorite coworkers had a massive heart attack  He is in the hospital now, and I hope he recovers. We always talk for hours when we see each other. He is about 50 years old, but he is still really fit, for example he often acts as the referee in our local soccer games. He also just had a third child last year..

Also I'm going to be spending July 4th with relatives~

Anyway, good luck with that!

The plumber came by today and told me that the leakage may well be from the 6th floor. Problem is no one is living there and we couldn't locate the owner and we can't open it…is what other person would say but i'm so fucking desperate that let's just say the door magically opened. Fuckin' problem is that when i was finally open the plumber said "Well, i'll start working tomorrow. Bye!". It's raining right now. Gonna be flooded again.
Also, AX lost our registration info. Spent the day juggling that and the flooding problem. didn't solve shit. I'm just gonna lie on the floor until i die :(
-
If you have a 3d printer, I can draw you an umbrella to hide from the rain. Or a new wall. Truth be told, I have more experience drawing walls than umbrellas with CAD software, but we will figure out the finer details later. So how about that, Prismeru?

At this point i think i might as well just buy a swimsuit.
In all, i still want to lay on the floor and die but it seems i'm the go guy for this now so all day i've been going from the roof to the 1st floor to the 6th to the 3th to the 5th and back again (There's no elevator)
But i met the 401 neighbor and she's really cute and i think i will, well get to know her better or who knows, so i guess i have that going for me.
Thanks for all :3

What do you do when you go to the bakery to buy bread and you realize that the baker begins to flirt with you. She was pretty … ahahaha.
I should go out more, to see the strange things that life shows me.

Thanks for the summarization and all, but the issue wasn't that it was complex, but that while watching the movie, I didn't always know what was going on. When reading it on wiki, it was actually easy to understand

Wait, there's another Transformers movie? what did I miss.
Anyway, good luck with that!
#4, same director…..but at least Marky-Mark is the star instead of Shia Lebouf.(sp?) Although it's a summer popcorn flick, which will attract families in droves!
thanks though!

I passed my driving exam today!!! It was 6 years later than I would have liked, but better late than never.

I saw Transformers 4 today and My God I have never seen so much blatant advertising and product placement outside a comericial in my entire life!
In fact, I think that entire movie was just a series of commericals with a plot…no wait, nevermind, it was just a long series of commercials.

My dad wants to go see it next weekend and I have to go. Ugh, dreading that experience. Now I'm afraid I'll leave the theater wanting to buy more explosions.

Hahaha, I can't escape from the world cup, even in the library.
Today, a couple of homeless entered the library, they asked me if I could read a book for them, they said that they didn't knew how to read. Most of the people who was in the place said to expel the two because they smelled bad and were dirty. I asked what kind of book they wanted to listen, they choose a book with a selection of small poems, I read 5 poems for them. When I ended to read, they thanked me and said that I was the first person who did a favor for them.
COME ON WORLD !! I´m not a good exemple to begin with, but you should rise your standards a LITTLE more. :getlost:
And sorry for not posting much, kinda busy.

@Mr.:
Ran for the first time in 4 years.
I thought I was going to die.
I will continue with my workout…
Sometimes I am almost grateful for living on the 7th floor with a broken elevator. It forces me to go up those 100+ stairs almost daily. If I want to or not. And most of the time I really really don't want to.
Keep on training and in a month you can laugh at all of us losers who are out of breath for at least 5 minutes after running to catch a bus. You know that embarrassing feeling when you try not to breath like an excited pug while standing real close to strangers traveling with you?? Say adieu to that situation! The reward will be great! -
In just two days I'll enter in vacations. :)
-
After losing one of my checks at home, I opted to finally get direct deposit…but now I'm gonna enjoy my day off with sun and swim at the adjacent building's pool. And guess who's sister is now a high school graduate?
-
today was pretty good! i randomly got a NICE summer bonus check in the mail which im gonna save up for my trip to SIGGRAPH in Vancouver next month.
last two months at SCAD if i can just get my thesis going. Teaching internship is going okay. the kids kind of intimidate me in a 'oh god i hope they dont ask me something i dont know' sort of way.
starting to feel that regular summer depression i think. just have to focus on the fact that big things are coming soon in a few months! can't get mopey now, gotta stay strong.
also apparently one of my ovaries is falling apart or something? idk i think something broke but i cant afford a obgyn right now so i'm hoping to ride it out till September or around then. i got some pills last week and the pain feels less bad. I can tell a lot of internal swelling has gone down. i got a ton of muscle relaxants though to help sleep and they are AMAZING
hope to go watch the fireworks with carter kong this friday and stay in his brand new apartment!! wish they allowed pets because I'd love to bring barty along. oh well it'll only be for a day or two bc i have work and he has to study for his big law thing.
that's my life lately. not so bad but kinda good too. i just hate these summer blues, they always screw me up

I feel like I've been far too quiet but I just never know whatta say nowadays.
