@Shadowgreed:
Yeah, but you know that Oda doesn't apply the same exact formula for those type of scenarios.
Aunt = working x period of time for the evil king.
NO!!!! = Citizen crying for what they believed was right.
Toy Soldier missing leg = missing hand.
I'm just making stuff up.
Oh drat! I forgot that Oda doesn't follow formulas to the T, but get inspired and twist things about to fit his desires
So you're not making things up
OF course this makes me want to see some other scenes we can –-ahem--- align up between the two universes
THEN we would be making things up!
Does OP have anyone similar to Admiral Ackbar? A person that is in a position of command and brings calamari to mind?
Hmmm how about that New World Captain that was allied to Whitebeard, Karma?
[hide]I want a pic that fits the "it's a trap!" line! Closest I found so far is this
If I wasn't procrastinating, I'd go search google for pics of "Karma One Piece".
I used yahoo with those same words … do not do it seriously … [hide]I still don't know how that pulled up hentai for Nico Robin! suuure there was "one piece" but there were farrrr more for Robin than Nami[/hide] [/hide]
Ya know if we try to find someone to fit the young Luke as he was in the 1st movie (that was seen), many OP fans would get pissed since Luffy doesn't fit but Usopp does Both Luke & Usopp fit the unskilled village boy that travels on a quest and becomes a hero. (Usopp is still on his journey so not fulfilled the quest yet)
[hide] the village boy becomes a hero -
He starts out as kid with no combat skills or experience, wishing for something more than bland village life.
underlined is why it automatically disqualifies Luffy, he left his home island with some training and already had great fighting skills
The he leaves the village behind going on a quest, it could be a mission or a search for adventure.
After several misadventures, good and bad events, he comes across a wise old mentor who so happen to live in an isolated region (be it island or swampy planet) who takes him in for some time.
After training with wise old mentor the hero comes back but is more than the boy he once was, he is more closer to manhood and far better with battle skills. But his skills are not the final stage and he still has some growing to do. There are some moments he totters on the edge, perhaps seen as 'backtracking' but will find is place again and continue on.
Eventually the hero finalizes the quest. This is why I refuse to write off Usopp like some have His quest is still happening (to become a brave warrior of the sea and to become a real King of Snipers so he can support Luffy's quest to become Pirate King)
