Well that certainly was true before the time-skip.
Sanji =77,000 B
Bepo =500 B

BUUUUT… I don't think it would be an "easy win". The reason why it was only 500 was likely same Chopper was only 50B - Marines thought the sentient animals were only pets, not actual crewmembers. After Law's stint as a Schichibukai, it's possible they know that Bepo is not a pet, but official member of the crew.

We do not know what Bepo's current bounty is. Unlike Sanji who has been hiding while Bepo has stayed active those two years. I have no doubt that Bepo's bounty has been raised during the time-skip.
Yes, Sanji was training to get stronger than what he was before time-skip but the Marines didn't see him during that time, so Sanji has same old bounty from pre-time skip. This was shown in the newspaper in ch 662, he still has the 77,000 B bounty

And yes, once Law became a shichibukai his and his crew's bounties would have been frozen -inactive- but Law had to gather more rep before he got the Shichi spot and so the bounties of his and his crew would have risen before being frozen. But with Law's recent actions means he's lost that position and the bounties are re-activated.

So there is a possibility that Bepo's bounty has risen quite high now. ESP when we consider the theory that Oda is trolling Sanji with his bounty poster. We think it sticks with the two 'photos' (pic on Bounty poster is not a photo but bad drawing, the pic in the newspaper is the back of his head). If its true Oda is trolling Sanji, then one way is to make this martial arts bear navigator (Oda confirmed that in a SBS) a bounty higher than Sanji's recent one. It doesn't need to be high, 80,000 would put it above Sanji (for now - until Sanji's bounty raise).

Though its also quite possible that Sanji's bounty is still thousands about Bepo due to one reason = Marines haven't have time to reactive Bepo's bounty since Law only forfeited his Schichi spot on same day that is happening in the manga. :ninja:

Well said. I still think that other than the mental struggle and character progression Luffy had to go to, part of the reason Ace died was also because he would be too strong in the future. Whitebeard wanted to make him the next Pirate King over Marco, who was able to tango with Kizaru.

One of the series ongoing themes is that age is a huge factor in power and stamina. It seems like the stamina goes first and their "power" might not actually decrease much but people certainly hit a "Prime" and then from that point they have nowhere to go but down. The old timers are very likely perfect examples of this. Garp having fought equally (from what we've been told) with Roger (who fought equally with Whitebeard) and Sengoku didn't really do much with their strength and undoubtably they would have been great assets had they fought all out during the entire war,but instead left things up to the VA, Warlords, and Admirals. Garp seemed confident he could kill Akainu and Sengoku stopped him not just because of him losing his position but also because he likely would have been able to kill him (Granted speculation, and Akainu certainly wasn't at full capacity).

TLDR: The older characters have a consistent theme of having lost power and stamina, thus most characters past their prime or who seem stagnant likely aren't getting much stronger and have plateau'd. Jinbe likely is one of these characters considering he's 42.

I'm fully aware there are some exceptions and outliers to this idea (Capone and Blackbeard among others). But I'm guessing that Zoro, Sanji, and of course Luffy are getting close to his power level, or will be passing it in the near future. Let's face it folks without another timeskip the crew has to have gained an immense level of power they haven't shown to even hope to become the strength they'll need to be to be the Pirate King's crew.

I never understand the bepo case. At least Chopper looks like a pet and transform to fight. At best they could believe it's a guy with a mask but a pet?!?!?.

But if marines getting their ass kick by a talking bear didn't make Bepo have a real bounty I doubt anything he is going to get one now.

I think that Lao G.'s entire group was sent to the factory, which means it's going to be the four winners and Diamante.

Lol if I'm correct that fight happened x amount of,years before Ace was actually a well established commander, the level he was at Marineford (basically the latest we saw him).

I mean honestly the man is a Fishman who uses water attacks against fire, of course the fights going to last long. Not a very even match up considering if he wasn't a Fishman or fighter using water Ace would have won easily. Take the Fishman aspect out and all you got is Karate. That fight goes to Ace easy.

They can, it's been displayed by Hodi Jones too, they may not be their best, but they can do that.

Sorry LaFF, gotta disagree with here. Hodi was on FI, he may have been in 'open air' area but still had a water source close at hand. Even if he wasn't standing in water at time, the region would have high ammt of water vapor in the air simply due to water being located all over the island so Hodi could pulled the water out of the air by condensation of that water vapor.
When Jinbe first said that he had a handicap out of water, he was in ID with no close source of water.

Yes, I want to say "but remember that FI was a enclosed space in a bubble, not an open region" but the shore is a good point. Though I would think the enclosed space would have more water vapor than the open space…. but that's getting tooo technical for a manga that is meant to be fun. After all if Oda really stuck to realistic sciece the entire manga wouldn't work so I am thinking its moot to go too deep.

Though, I do not remember Jinbe saying he had a handicap during that fight. IMO He was mainly telling Luffy that his fighting skills would be limited in ID.

A bounty isn't going to make Luffy stronger. Think about it, if Luffy beats Doflamingo with his current moves we know of (Gear 2nd/3rd, gattling, elephant etc) that wouldn't make a difference, Jinbe would still be on top because Luffys actual power hasn't changed from when Jinbe and Luffy last met and only the reputation has changed which is beating Doflamingo (personally i can see Luffy beating Jinbe now, just other people think otherwise).

If Luffy pulls out some new powerful moves then yeah, to people he will be stronger than Jinbe.

The best thing I can think of is that he was forbidden from doing so, and even then, that still sounds flimsy.

Right now, I guess Sabo was just lucky that Luffy was involved in a mission.

A few points to consider from this chapter

I assume the reason why DDs government requires people and toys to be separate at night is just a fail-safe in case Sugar falls asleep. I've read other threads where people suggest she keeps eating sweets in order to stay awake –you know glucose -- sugar rush stuff. Anyways, I think the toys and humans would temporarily regain their memories and change form when she even sleeps; they are probs trying to avoid having the two parties see that -- It may just seem like a dream otherwise.
I think somehow Big Mom's crew will fall in this arc due to the stawhats. She isnt on the ship I assume, but the crew there with Pekoms and "Bon-Soir"-man (lol) will kinda lose, and maybe that will also reverb the SH crew epicness throughout the new world. And aide Jimbie's speedy joining of the crew somehow. And to those worried about Jimbie's power level messing up the flow on the SH chip -- I advice you observe how he flowed with the escapees and luffy from Impel Down.

-That panel with Burgess is just Oda showing us who Luffy meant when he said "that person must not get the fruit". It's clear luffy is much smarter and remembers better post-timeskip.

The best excuse for Sabo's case is losting his memory all these 10 years then he had it back somehow after the war.

That may be because people in their forties can still be in their prime. They are not old timers yet.
