Hey, Ace could kill everyone around him (and quite a distance away) just by heating up to couple of thousands of degrees Celsius. Entei should have killed Blackbeard just by being there, for example.
Yeah, same thing with Akainu. Altough I ain't that certain Mera Mera allows for such high temperatures.

It's weird Luffy's motivation to go after the bad guy is brought up so much lately.
Honestly, I feel like there will always be someone with a bigger grudge against the villain. Who wanted Crocodile dead the most, Vivi, Cobra, Pell, or Luffy? Who brought him down? And who wanted Enel dead the most, Gan Fall, Wiper, or Luffy? And Wapol? And Hody Jones?
I know here in Dressrosa the amount of people that want Doffy to bite the dust are legion, but Luffy does have some beef with him and Oda's been showing it progressively: Rebecca's unfair treatment by the whole country, the gladiator prisoners, the "darkness" of Dressrosa that Luffy already linked to Goa, and, specially, Dofla shooting Law in front of Luffy. There's been plenty of ocasions for Luffy to build up hate for Dofla. And there's still some stuff left to make him even more despicable in Luffy's eyes.
And yet, by the end of it, if you honestly analyze it, Kyros, Dold, Rebecca, Violet. . .all of them would still have more reasons to bust Doffy than Luffy will ever have. Hell, random unnamed Riku soldier number xxxx that's been turned into a toy for the past TEN YEARS, forgotten by all his loved ones, this random guy has more reason to hate Doffy than Luffy will have in his entire life. Random king turned into a toy, too. Random fucking GORILLA has a much much much bigger grudge against Dofla than Luffy.
Luffy just needs to have a reason to kick the villain's ass. Remember how Luffy wasn't into it during Caesar's second fight, but by the third he was really pissed off, and sent him flying. Still, did that make him the ONE to hate Caesar the most? Nope. Brownbeard obviously hated him more. Or Momo. Or even Chopper, who was devastated with how the children were treated by Caesar and couldn't stop crying. Luffy didn't bond that much with anyone, but a single explanation from Momo made him rage hard. That's all we ask of Luffy, and he already has that against Doffy, and it will grow even more.
The problem with that is that it in the previous fights, beyond bad guy being obviously bad guy, there was a personal motivation existing for Luffy.
Crocodile: He wanted to screw over Vivi. And vivi, at that point, could as well be another Straw Hat, considering how long she stayed with them. There existed deeper connection between her and the crew, build up for arcs at the time. There is nothing like that here.
Enel? Yeah, there were little to none motivation in the beginning, but Luffy didn't exactly go after Enel in the beginning. When does he go after him? After he leaves the snake, and finds his crew burned by him. Bloody good personal motivation if you ask me.
As for Hody Jones, I would argue it was bad there as well, but at least he was asked to help by person he has rather deep connection to, namely Jimbei. So I say it was still slightly better then what we get now. Only slightly though.
