What will happen to the monster trio once Jinbe joins?
I can't recall correctly but during the timeskip Franky was in vegapunks laboratory, is it possible that he met vegapunk himself?

Monster Quartet.
I imagine Zoro, Sanji and Jinbe will all he roughly within in reach of one another while Luffy continues to sore ahead. Zoro the living demon, Luffy's right hand man. Sanji the devil himself, Luffy's left hand man. Jinbe the Oni, Luffy's right leg foot man.
No Vegapunk was long gone by the time Franky got there and left behind many unfulfilled experiments. Chances are he left that lab behind well over 20 years ago if his time with Judge is anything to go by.
What will happen to the monster trio once Jinbe joins?
They'll have about 3 board meetings each detailing their future endeavors and whether it is wise to widen the scope of their strict organization to see if it allows to be renamed into a quartet. It'll be put to a vote by the remaining 6 Strawhats with Vivi making the final call in the event of a tie.
I can't recall correctly but during the timeskip Franky was in vegapunks laboratory, is it possible that he met vegapunk himself?
No. He was simply transported to Vegapunk's home and made upgrades using the tech and research that was left there when Vegapunk joined the Navy.

It's all nami's fault, doesn't she understand the misuse such terms lead to?

I don't think it'll be that easy. You just don't do any justice to the whole complexity of this big endeavor.
I don't think jinbei will get that much stronger on the crew than he already is so over their travels the monster trio will be more obvious at the end of the series but right when jinbei joins it will be hard to just say monster trio
Could you imagine this conversation if Nami dropped that line back in the Davy Back Fight?
"What will happen to the monster trio once Franky joins"
Seastone as well as the sea can still be affected by Devil Fruit abilities. Aokiji can freeze the ocean, Akainu's lava doesn't just dissapear when it makes contact with sea water. Law doesn't make direct contact with the cuffs, so his powers wouldn't be nullified by sea stone either.
Edit: With Inazuma I have to reread.
Oh I see. I suppose the innards of the lock are not made of sea stone and at the same time Inazuma touching it if quickly enough doesn't necessarily mean his scissor hands would just disappear. I also imagine since Inazuma can manipulate anything he cuts like paper that could have something to do with it.
Maybe someone has a better answer for him.
Seastone does not make abilities disapear.
Seastone has the same effect of the sea and in some cases haki. Sapping the physical strenght of the devil-fruit user and in the cases of "body modification", like logias or Gomu Gomu, it is able to touch the user.
We've seen Luffy's body underwater and he was still able to be stretched, but he couldn't move by himself because the sea drains his strengh.
And when he grabbed the seastone bars of a jail cell he got super-duper tired.
VanDer Decken abilities still functioned underwater.
Cutting/breaking seastone while havings devil fruit abilities is not impossible, it's just way harder to do.
The only thing that nullifies powers is Blackbeard's yami yami.

Robin and Marco would beg to disagree on the subject of Devil Fruit nullification.
!
!
They share similar abilities, sure, but they don't operate the same way as seen with Luffy's powers still being active in ocean water.
Robin and Marco are able to move freely in seastone cuffs despite it inhibiting their powers while the likes of Luffy and Enel get easily fatigued when touched with seastone. So you can either argue that seastone is inconsistent or that cuffs specifically have a different range effect either due to properties or size.
Yeah it seems if your body is permanently changed like Luffy the power can still work. If one has to activate the ability then Sea Stone won't allow it.
So again with Inazuma who has to activate his fruit I'm guessing the innards are not sea stone or just being quick enough allowed him to unlock the cuffs with his scissor hands.
For guys like Smoker in a sea stone prison, him being smoke would not allow him to pass through the bars even in a weakened state.
Robin's and Marco's powers must be activated.
Seastone stops them from doing it, it doesn't nullify them.
(this is a bit of a wording problem but I hope you can catch my meaning)
If you put seastone shackles on Chopper or Brook they stay the same.
Chopper won't be able to use his transformations but nothing has ever told us he would revert to being a normal reindeer if that happen, he'd just be weak. Brook would still be a living skeleton, his soul wouldn't get released from his body again. But they'll become unable to move.
If you put those shackles on Luffy he'll still be rubber, you can't break his arm. If Blackbeard grabs Luffy, he can break his arm because the power his indeed nullified.
My point was that since Inazuma was merely touching a bit of seastone and not being actively incarcerated by it his hands wouldn't automaticly revert to human.
I know this raises a lot of questions about the exact mechanics of the seastone (would Buggy be cutable if he was shackled?, can Blackbeard make Chopper a normal reindeer or Brook's soul go to heaven by touching them?, would Crocodile's ultimate defense still work since he trained to the point of it being automatic?, etc)
But I'm working with the info we have. And well, Oda has somewhat loose definitions in how somethings work since he just cares about making things exiting and cool and sometimes details slip his mind.
edit: Btw, I checked that Marco scene from the war and around it.
Kizaru had already shot Marco, like that, before he was shackled. The vantage to shackling Marco was that he was unable to transform into the phoenix form.
Not sureif it was shown how the seastone was affecting his automatic recovery.

Ah, okay. I completely agree with that logic. Sorry forbthe misunderstanding.

Ahhh so that's vegapunks old abandoned lab. I see now.
Vivi will fix the tie breaker, now that's fun.

Wrong the term was used more than once and even after the timeskip. Look up for Aohiges post about it…Further more I still take bets about monster trio staying and Jinbe will change nothing about it
I was thinking it would be more like Luffy being the top dog because he's the captain and the strongest and the Monster Trio would consist of Zoro, Sanji and Jinbei, kind of like Kaidou and the Three Calamities or Big Mom and the Three Sweet Commanders. Or I could be wrong and Luffy will still be in the Monster Trio and Jinbei will be under Sanji in terms of strength.

The last sentence will sooner or later be the true one.
I couldn't make it out in black and white, but with the colour it seems a little more clear.
Is that Rayleigh's wanted poster on the left? If not, then who else do you think it could be.
Sorry if this has already been discussed.

That looks more like Luffy's wanted poster. If you focus on the top of the image of the person you can see the straw hat and you can even see Usopp as a silhouette.

The wanted posters from right to left are easy to see as Law, Luffy and Kidd respectively. I'm talking about the poster on the left.

Thanks, I thought so. It was very vague in black and white but in colour its easier to tell.

Oh I see, you meant to the left of the picture. I was viewing the picture through Disco's POV and thought you meant his left. Sorry 'bout that.
Referring to the Disco cover, I'm guessing the posters are stacked by crews, seeing as the pile under Luffy's pretty thick. Seems odd that there aren't any posters stacked under Kidd because we know at least Killer has a known bounty. Also, could the poster under Rayleigh be Shakky? Or someone else?
So I've finally finished my re-read of OP.
And I still don't quite understand one thing - what exactly was the point of that one chapter about Gaimon? Like, what narrative purpose did it serve? In no way am I trying to say that I disliked it, it was a pretty fun read, but after that one chapter we've only seen Gaimon once, and that too in a cover story only.
Do you think Gaimon could get some plot significance in the future?
I don't know if Oda had a specific purpose for it, it might as well just have been a nice little idea he had and something to give the crew a bit of an adventure. I cannot remember why they went there or anything. That was before Usopp came along right?

In manga they went there without ussop but in anime no

usually shonen series start with a couple of episodic stories to make you know the characters before going to the bigger stuff,…bleach did something similiar with a "monster of the week" structure before starting the first big arc
I don't think we're going to see gaimon again
The point was to further show how treasure is not the same as money, Gaimon guarded the treasure chests for 20 years but ultimately they were meaningless to him, the real treasure being the strange animals on the island.
Grand Line was also hyped in that chapter.
Are there any theories regarding Doberman and his Coat, all other VA and the admirals have white coats and then there he is sticking out like a sore thumb.

Is former admiral Kuzan the 10th captain under Blackbeard? Or its somebody else?
how did you know that the Blackbeard has 10 captains?

That page says Blackbird has 10 captains. Poor Blackbeard has no relation to the great fowl pirate

Blackbeard could only dream of having the cunning and power to steal Whitebird's Devil Fruit.
If I could vote I'd say Shanks!!

Lole. Come on.
Anyway… did Zoro even tried to cut the Bird Cage? All I remember was him pushing the bird cage with his swords..
Seriously though... cant even cut a cage made up of strings...

Him clashing with the Birdcage made it evident enough that it couldn't be cut. And even if it could it's not like he could cut across the entire circumference of it.

Not without taking Dressrosa with it, even if he could.
I guess Fujitora is also a punk that couldn't cut it down. Does that put Zoro and Fuji at the same level???!

I guess so.. same level of not giving a fuck. Didn't even bother to try and go all out lole. Was the Bird Cage made up of sea stone or something?

Its called broken as sh*t…. another thing you could say is plot device.

anyway, i guess i just have to accept it that its from Doflamingo's awakened broken powers.
His doppleganger's even more broken given that it's string and it talks and fights…
Doflamingo's strings were established early on as being nigh unbreakable, until Luffy finally managed to do so at the climax of their fight. The Birdcage strings were some of the bigger strings Doflamingo created, so they'd be even more durable.

Even at that, I didn't read that as the strings being broken so much as burst out of, if you get my meaning?
A subtle difference but one that still maintains the notion of Doffy's strings being unbreakable.
Can someone explain why Blackbeard couldn't absorb Magellan's poison with Yami Yami?

He probably could, but the Yami Yami no Mi causes any damage he takes to be amplified.
Yeah, but better than dying….It was implied like Shiliew's antidote saved him(along with the other),So i wonder whether he tried actually.

I think its more like Blackbeardand his crew got caught off guard. Similar to Caesar taking out Luffy or the Snowmen taking Zoro out.

I think he means why didn't Teach just suck all the poison into a black hole?
