Goddamn, there's a little bit left, but they did an amazing job with this finale. It just makes me realize how much I'll miss this show.
I won't spoil anything, except that it's great. Whoops, fuck. Sorry about that.

Some basic comments
! Seriously, amazing finale. Bill got to be really legitimately terrifying, beyond just creepy, which made the resistance all the sweeter, down to the moment when Stan threw the last blow. I love how they incorporated elements from almost every episode of the series (except Irrational Treasure, where Trembley got a cameo in the credits, but they really missed an opportunity with him and the president's key). If I started writing down favorite moments, I'd really just end up reproducing the script.
! I have a few criticisms, since I'm a nerd with opinions. Stan's bitter feelings towards his brother felt a little forced here (not that they aren't natural, just his overt expression of them) and the recovery of his memories was a bit of a deus ex machina (doesn't that mean Bill's technically got a chance at sticking around, too?), but I really love the resolution he had with his brother so I don't care. The original mystery twins back in action, wrestling Lovecraftian horrors!
! Also, minor thing, but I'm glad they made Durland and Blub's love legit and in the best way possible (mad with power, in love) It's been a real treat seeing homosexual relationships actually acknowledged in kids shows, considering that it wasn't too long ago when Clarence had to censor two men kissing, and other countries still cut stuff out of Steven Universe. I figure this line will get omitted in some places overseas, and it will suck, but it's another push on that front globally when it's being normalized in popular media.
! Amazing action, amazing jokes and what people all over tumblr have been calling THE FEELS; this finale really brought together everything that made this show great. Seeing the minor characters shine really makes me wish we could get another season, but the team apparently went through hell getting what we got together and they did an amazing job doing it, so I can't be too mad. Thus ends one of the best animated series the world has ever known. I'll miss you, Gravity Falls!
