Anyway, I think that, when (or if) the Luffy/Law alliance brings down a yonkou, one of the supernovas will become a yonkou. My theory is Kidd, but you never know. Luffy wouldn't, for sure.

Or Law? We don't know if any of them want to become one though, but what about the said Yonkou's territories? I'm all up for Kidd becoming one of the Yonkou but I don't know..I don't think he is at that level yet :ninja:

Being a Kid fanboy I have to jump in on the Luffy/Kid bounty debate. Luffy did more than Kid as far as we know, he also had a lot of what he did covered up like beating Moria. However Kid slaughtered many civilians, the job of the Marines is to serve and protect. If Kid is killing civilians then he is a direct affront to what the Marines' stated mission is. Which is why Kid's pirating is more of a threat than Luffy's at least that's how the Marines/WG want to portray it. In reality Luffy has caused more damage than Kid and is far more dangerous, he even declared war on them. But publicly Kid is a threat to civilians and his act of massacring people is basically saying to the marines "you can't protect those who you are sworn to protect"

Also, Kidd seems to be genuinely conquering islands. Luffy left all of the islands he visited, mostly intact, with the exception of Enies Lobby (and that was Spandam's fault). What if he had actually conquered Whiskey Peak, then Drum Island, and so on? I agree with you, Luffy's bounty is comparatively low because he's nice.

I hope that we'll learn the name of Law's sword next chapter or at least before this arc ends. It will be awesome if it's one of the best twelve Wazamono something. It can freaking break a seastone chain!… or unless that one link he broke is not made of seastone.

I personally thought that Law used his DF power on the Kairoseki cuffs instead of sheer force to dissemble the chains, since the manga makes it looks like he wasn't using any sudden motion (such as cutting the cuffs), looks more like gentle motions to me.

But if it was one of those twelve-something swords (which I doubt, since he obtained it pre-timeskip) it would be amazing! Plus Tashigi would be able to confirm right away since she's there with them.

I think he switched the seastone cuffs with the ones he scattered in the lab before he cut them. It's so in the mangastream scan while the other scan is just confusing on that part.

Really? So, what happens if Luffy Gomu Gomu Rifles the tip of Smoker's jutte? or Akainu tries to cover seastone cuffs in his magma? Would that be different to them being in natural lava?

Yeah, you're probably right about that. You're right, Law's power is too overpowered compared to Luffy's, as his relies on a relatively long range whereas Luffy relies on hand-to-hand combat thus inevitably a shorter range. As a result it's really good to see them allied for now. But do you think they'll ever end up fighting each other? That would be a helluva fight man

True! But with the events happening in Punk Hazard, she was probably distracted. And now I need to reread the fight scenes to see if he actually drew out his sword on Tashigi and Smoker, lol.

I don't know. If they do fight it probably will be serious. But I'm hoping they maintain their brother-like relationship for the whole of the series. Just had a random thought, what if Law was Luffy's first mate? I think that role would suit him quite well

Oh, I just have a habit of putting source brackets after the links I post. Tbh you don't really need to question the reliability of this source since any half-decent OP fan would remember that scene during the Marineford War Arc.

Smoker's jitte only has seastone on the tip if that's what you mean.
Law swapping seastone chains for normal ones is what convinced me that devil fruits do work on seastone.

I can't really see Law joining the Straw-Hats to be honest. Just doesn't seem right for some reason To me Law is kind of like BB, he is planning ahead for something big and knows how to get it done.

Exactly, not to mention Kizaru's lasers and Akainu's magma still work under water. It would make sense that when the sea stone touches the user of the fruit is when their ability is muted and it's not effective when it only touches the product of the fruit.

I could see how Moriah's zombies and salt would make one think that's how it works for everything a devil fruit produces, but so far that is a special case.

I honestly feel that Franky going back to the sunny, while being in-character for him, is just a cheap move from Oda's part because he doesn't know what to do with Franky in those next chapters, so he's put on a bus for the rest of the arc.

Can somebody explain the meaning of "(T◊T)" to me?
It´s included in the cover-story of caribou. The only thing that i could guess is that it´s suppossed to be the german word "tot" which means dead, but that feels kind of unlikely given odas nature of almost never killing people.

Ah, okay that makes a lot of sense. When we look closer we can even see some lines coming from one of her buttons, indicating that she just buttoned up?

I think it's just 'cuz Tashigi is timid and Smoker dressed her in an "open" way. And styled her hair in a way she didn't like, you can see her putting it back into a ponytail.

Smoker was dressing like himself in Tashigi's body, hair slicked back and chest wide open. Just happened to be in a female body and Tashigi took offense.
