Great chapter, such a shame that it's going to be on break AGAIN. I can't wait to see how the remaining block fights (C and D), as well as the subsequent rounds will turn out. Whatever that's going on outside the ring, with the whole marines/doflamingo deception thing, the situation with Kinemon's allies and Usopp and Robin with the dwarves isn't interesting me at all personally, but that may just be because at this time of the manga I am more thirsty for good battles rather than plot development, since we 'still' haven't properly seen Luffy engage in a good battle with a decent opponent post-TS.

RE: Most Disappointing Thing in One Piece
For me it's gotta be how long the series is. Back in the day I was actually quite happy how the series was so long since I had more to read, but now that I've caught up-to-date and am waiting for one chapter a week, I'm beginning to feel more impatient. I've probably both read and watched the series around five times straight, and after every time I did so the enjoyment I got from reading or watching it inevitably fell. It also feels like not much is happening in one chapter, and more content per chapter would be nice.
It doesn't help that Oda takes a lot of breaks too, like just when something's about to go down it says "One Piece will be on break and back on next week's WSJ". What the hell, what a way to get our hopes up then disappoint us just like that. I was personally really disappointed how the Block C fight was being stalled so much, and with Oda adding all that crap about Usoland in between. I mean, I know it's an integral part to the plot and all, but I think it may have been better to completely finish off one part of the story (I.e. the gladiator fights) or at least sped it up a little.
Other than that I think everything else is good, plot-wise, and the introduction of new characters, as well as character development of both new and reoccuring roles. Waiting to see just what Doflamingo is up to

RE: Chapter 677: "Counter Hazard"
Well, yeah, ok, you're right. One piece wiki isn't a good source though
Oh, I just have a habit of putting source brackets after the links I post. Tbh you don't really need to question the reliability of this source since any half-decent OP fan would remember that scene during the Marineford War Arc.

RE: Chapter 677: "Counter Hazard"
Dammit zachiri, if I dream of Apoo with sparkles and a rose flower background singing like Frank Sinatra tonight I'm blaming you.
True! But with the events happening in Punk Hazard, she was probably distracted. And now I need to reread the fight scenes to see if he actually drew out his sword on Tashigi and Smoker, lol.
And the sword I was talking about from Inuyasha had the power to resurrect the dead, but I doubt his sword is like that, since that will make Law the most overpowered doctor in the series XD
He did. Remember he cut her in half and said "the weak can't pick their way of death" or something badass like that.
And yeah, that would be hella op-ed, more like, the most op-ed doctor in the history of manga. Hell, if I had that power I'd revive Roger and WB and make them my subordinates (jk)
Maybe she can't verify it at first glance but she already has her suspicion. Now, she's just waiting for Law to declare it.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
They eventually will, and it will be something not serious... and knowing Oda he will probably nerf Law and Luffy will beat him with speed.
I don't know. If they do fight it probably will be serious. But I'm hoping they maintain their brother-like relationship for the whole of the series. Just had a random thought, what if Law was Luffy's first mate? I think that role would suit him quite well

RE: Chapter 677: "Counter Hazard"
Yeah, you're probably right about that. Him saying he had swapped his seastone chain with normal ones can be a big hint (I'm not saying he did the swapping after he contact the seastone 'tho)… and that makes Law's power even more amazing as he can affect seastones! I'm glad he's one of the good guy as I don't see Luffy winning against him in a fair fight.
You're right, Law's power is too overpowered compared to Luffy's, as his relies on a relatively long range whereas Luffy relies on hand-to-hand combat thus inevitably a shorter range. As a result it's really good to see them allied for now. But do you think they'll ever end up fighting each other? That would be a helluva fight man

I thing he used haki, devil fruits shouldn't work on seastone

Please read this =)
I thought he just broke the chains, tbh. The chains looked broken, but that might be my horrible memory failing me.
Also yes, that'll be an awesome twist if Law's nodachi is one of the 12 Wazamonos ^ Though with the cross designs on the sheath, maybe it's powers have something to do with healing ala Sesshoumara from Inuyasha lol. But that's just me speculating.
if not, it's likely one's going to appear in Wano country if the Star Hats go there.
I'm just wondering that if it really was one of those tweleve swords why didn't Tashigi point it out sooner (i.e. as soon as she saw it) since her observation of and knowledge on swords are shown to be very good, so all in all it seems unlikely to me. The healing theory seems quite good though, since Law is a doctor and all. Haven't read/watched Inuyasha so can't provide any more input than that

RE: The Great New World Discussion Thread
I believe they will be going after the same Yonko indeed. We were told Kid had attacked allied pirates of the BM crew so that leads me to believe he wants to attack her. I have no idea what Law is scheming though but I somehow get the feeling he wants to take her down as well!
Kid, Appo, Hawkins, Law and Luffy all on her tail… Poor Big Mom!

RE: Chapter 677: "Counter Hazard"
I hope that we'll learn the name of Law's sword next chapter or at least before this arc ends. It will be awesome if it's one of the best twelve Wazamono something. It can freaking break a seastone chain!… or unless that one link he broke is not made of seastone.
I personally thought that Law used his DF power on the Kairoseki cuffs instead of sheer force to dissemble the chains, since the manga makes it looks like he wasn't using any sudden motion (such as cutting the cuffs), looks more like gentle motions to me.

(Source: mangahere) sorry I can't provide an image link, I'm on an iPad..
But if it was one of those twelve-something swords (which I doubt, since he obtained it pre-timeskip) it would be amazing! Plus Tashigi would be able to confirm right away since she's there with them.

RE: General 'Four Emperors' Discussion
Who does everyone think is the first Yonkou to be taken down/replaced? I'd place my bet on Big Mom, since she was finally introduced (albeit unclearly) in the plot not so long ago, and seems to be the potential target of the Law/Luffy alliance. It seems that in the near-future (perhaps the next arc, or even at the end of the current one) she will make an appearance somehow and engage in combat with the SHs. Defeating her, or even going face-to-face with her will surely be a testament to Luffy's growth over the timeskip, so I'm really looking forward to their encounter.
By process of elimination and looking at the other three, Shanks seems like he will be one of the last Yonkou to go; I predict that near the end of the plot he will be defeated by BB, to which Luffy reacts by defeating him. BB has just newly been appointed a Yonkou thus most likely to retain the title for the longest (based on assumptions of age, potential future growth etc.) and as I mentioned will probably be the last of the Yonkou defeated. As for Kaidou we really know nothing about him, although there was that conflict (the extent of which is unknown) with X-Drake pre-timeskip. I personally think that X-Drake is currently serving under Kaidou (3 possibilities. One, they fought, Drake got defeated and was forced to serve under him. Two, the reason Drake sought him out in the first place was to form an alliance/make a pledge to serve under Kaidou. Three, Drake was Kaidou's subordinate to begin with, even before he defected from the Marines, just like how Vergo is to Doflamingo). I don't think Luffy and the SHs will take him down - instead, one of the other possible supernovas (possibly the Kid/Apoo/Hawkins alliance) are aiming to take him down.
Speaking of which, we do not know the real motives of the possible Kid/Apoo/Hawkins alliance but we can assume that their purpose too is to take down a Yonkou, and a showdown between the K/A/H alliance and possibly some of the other Supernovas (X-Drake amongst others) will be interesting.
So as I said before, I think Big Mom will be the first Yonkou to be defeated and possibly relinquishing the title to someone else. But more importantly, who do you think will replace the first Yonkou to be defeated? If the alliances somehow do succeed in bringing one down, there would be major conflict as to who would succeed the fallen Yonkou and there would be inner conflict amongst the alliance, since from what we have been shown so far none of the Supernovas are fond of working under another. Moreover, it would largely upset the balance of power in the world, since the newly appointed Yonkou would probably be the weakest one of the four (purely based on assumption; I just don't think any of the Supernovas are quite up to par with the current Yonkou as of yet). What do you think?
