Some times, when I read the past chapter discussion, I imagine going back in time and laughing at people who were wrong with their predictions (really, REALLY funny shit when you start rereading past chapter discussion. The same with this arc.) and spoiling the whole arc to people.

I took a time-skip from Post-Enies Lobby to the end of Thriller Bark, otherwise I've been there since around 2000 =) But yeah speaking of that time-machine, I'd kill for one just so I could marathon again
i already decided, if one piece (ever) ends i'm gonna reread/rewatch the whole thing… soo.. thats gonna take me a full week of my live, but i'll be happy... i'll be happy than.

I always look back at previous One Piece chapters telling myself "Wait, when did I read this? That actually happened? What?" - I mean, I've always had a bad case of memory but I have surprised myself some times forgetting the most important parts of One Piece.
It's crazy how you can completely forget some parts of a manga. I imagine that after One Piece ends (or near its ending) I'll be married with kids, have a comfortable job, and deal with life's endless affairs. I'll completely forget about One Piece like it was erased from my memory.
Eventually I'll stumble upon the words "One Piece" again and that's when I'll re-read the entire thing to have a fangasm of unspeakable proportions.
Well, to be honest, there are other manga I've been following that's still ongoing longer than One Piece.
Like Saiyuu Youenden by Daijrou Moroboshi (winner of the Tezuka prize, and considered one of the best sci-fi writer in manga history), Ryuurouden, and of course, Berserk.
Not too worried if OP takes another decade or so, it's just one of several long running manga.
Only thing I worry about these though are the health of the creators. Especially considering what happened to Guin Saga.

Does anyone know anything at all about how often Oda smokes? We've seen pictures of the loads of cigarettes on his desk, but those could have been accumulated from a long period of time. I'm not asking for specifics but if someone could ballpark it from something he's said in an SBS or magazine that would be great. (I'm of course hoping he doesn't do it too often)

My history with One Piece is a lot more… divided, and not as lengthy as with many others I would say. I was introduced to it through 4Kids, believe it or not, and I saw bits and pieces of it on TV from the Baratie arc, the Arlong arc, I think possibly the Syrup village arc too, not sure, and I saw all of Loguetown, and anything after that I don't quite recall. Then it was no longer being aired on the channel I used to watch it on, and I eventually forgot about it for several years. In middle school, one of my friends would bring shonen jump to school whenever he went to the library to take them out, and I would read them in class, but I don't recall what chapters of one piece there were. Eventually I started getting Shonen Jump monthly, and the first issue I got had one of the Little Garden chapters in it. I have been reading Shonen Jump ever since, but at one point during the Alabasta arc, I started reading scanlations online, which had already gotten to the "Ace dies" chapter I believe. While continuing with both reading Shonen jump and the scanlations online from the beginning, I have gotten through every chapter of One Piece released. I hope to one day be able to buy all of the Volumes themselves, and I've gotten a few, but I can't afford to get them very often. I've also watched the English subbed episodes and the Funimation dubbed ones up to the most recently released episode. And that's my story. I honestly couldn't tell you over what length of time this all took place. I feel like I can guarantee though that it hasn't even been 10 years yet since I was introduced to One Piece though. But even if it has, it's definitely not any more than that.
I actually admire late adopters, cause when you're jumping into One piece, you've got a lot of catching up to do. That takes determination ;)

Same here, except I anime'd until they set sail for FI. First weekly chapter was Frog.
Been reading since about the middle of cp9, before that i saw till the beginning of sky island in anime, the site i was checking them on didn't have those in between because of some copyright law or something, so i started re-reading the manga from the begining and caught up in about a week.
You all should learn to lucid dream. Learning to do that you can pretty much make whatever your sub conscience will allow you to. I have used different df power a few times even.

I have had a couple and am trying to learn to trigger them.
Heard about this guy who was really into lucid dreaming. He thought he was dreaming when he wasn't. Ended jumping off a bridge cause he thought he could fly. I never tried again after I heard that.
I'm also curious to see the matchups for the end of this arc. I'm almost willing to bet some bigshot enemy will make an appearance, there just aren't enough worthy enemies to go around at this point

Regrettably I forgot what the plot of Monsters was about, other than Ryouma killing monsters. Unless I'm thinking of the wrong manga :|a which plot point do you think it is?

It's entirely possible Vergo has no DF power and that stuff sticking to his beard is just because it's sticky or like Velcro. Plenty of people have had powers without needing to eat a fruit. Well, Django had to eat a mushroom, I guess, but not Ms. Golden Week or Wanze among others.

Well, Vivi did state once that all the Officer Agents had Devil Fruit powers (Mr. 4, while not a DF user, had Lasso). Some people are still confused until this day about Miss Goldenweek's power.
Miss Goldenweek has no DF..otherwise it would have been stated in OP blue or red.
While i can`t provide now the proof, iam also pretty sure that this was already revealed by Oda in a FPS or a databook.

The beard itself being like Velcro, as in full of clingy barbs, not the hamburger. Lolz back at'cha. Wouldn't explain how a spoon would stick, but maybe that's just static electricity. Yeah, maybe it's a whole mix of being wirey, sticky with juices and susceptible to static cling. :P
And for Ms. Golden Week, yes, Oda specifically mentioned in an SBS that she uses a version of hypnosis with her color theory, not an actual DF power.
