Actually, there is one thing I don't like- Hattori being back after having lost in a fair fight. I don't mind the tag team idea since it's admittedly something fresh and may make for some cool matches but bringing back a character that's already been out since the first round strikes me as wrong.

People complain about Hattori, but I haven't seen anyone complain about Shakky and Tashigi, who BOTH lost in fair fights and still get to be here and be on the same team. That's just not right.

Why Hattori and Garp got on the final ballot of the losers instead of any other random round 1 character? Well, Garp had already been dictated by a joke that said he'd be paired with Satori (and he was going to be too!) and Hattori… Look at all the people using Hattori avatars! How intense and full of campaigns his match was! And how giddy it makes one of the staffers! And he won the filler match, ya'll decided that! We honestly didn't expect that. We assumed it would be Luffy or some other strawhat who got back in.

Well I've noticed many are still supporting the same characters all the way through. Sure sometimes we gut the heartbreak of two well liked characters going against each other, some some of us have one character we support above all others.
Nia has Hattori
Venomous Warden has Magellen
I have Usopp (though I admit can't campain like them:sad:they're too creative)Sure we like some other characters but it doesn't matter who they are paired with/against, we will vote for that one above all others.

I think I need to study some of those match ups in more detail, as some have already done… Aokiji/Monet VS Doflamingo/Smoker this one's pretty tough. I want Aokiji to advance, but I am also a fan of Dofla and Smoker, moreso than Monet… God, I really don't know what to do here! Probably a campaign match for me, and I might just try and please Nolus by voting Kuzan... but then, Smoker is a Marine, too.
Nami/Rayleigh VS Hiriluk/Hattori In this case, I think I have to go for the H&H duo. Except if Hattori really DOES turn out to be Satori all over again. Which would be awful.
Law/Whitebeard VS Robin/Usopp Damn. Tough one, way too tough… I want Usopp to advance, Robin not so much - I'd like Law to advance, don't care too much about Whitebeard. What to do? I really don't know. I'm against Robin advancing though so I'm probably going for the other pairing~
Shakky/Tashigi vs Bon Kurei/Enel No contest here.

Normally, under most circumstances, we would not have allowed a completely random background character with no name to be entered as a contestant. (Even Pwngoat was pushing it, and it had screentime, scenes, and multiple appearances, including on a volume cover.)
However, last year, we still had a handful of slots left to fill out with fan suggestions, and one of them provided the name "Awesome Octopus Fishman guy next to Jinbe on page 17 of chapter 624", and that was just such a great name, we allowed it… and he did surprising well.
Now that the one image of him has been examined closely and at length through a bunch of matches and his legend is better known, it become apparent that yes, he has another set of arms going behind his back and likely is a squid. But this is a hard detail to make out and wasn't noticed until much later. And by then, the name had stuck.
Now it's part of his story that he was adopted and raised as an Octopus, despite the extra arms. And that he is named Fred.

I never denied he wasn't cool, or didn't belong in the tournament at all.
I just could not understand why he was called 'octopus'.
