Personally, I feel that the current Bleach arc (all of Bleach really) has a certain unique and refined quality to it that only mangaka of Kubo Tite's caliber could materialize for the viewing pleasure of his audience. The brilliance of the writing in this arc and the deep intricate plot lines that flow through it as well as the superb story telling, art and characterization that could only be rivaled by Kento Miura's Berserk. The sense of danger, the drama and philosophical undertones throughout the war has been absolutely stunning and thought provoking. The tragic and emotionally moving death of Chojiro Sasakibe in particular is but one of the few things that truly make this arc a special one that stands out amongst it's peers.

"Tragic"? "Emotionally moving"? The guy appeared in about ten panels before being unceremoniously killed off, and he got more development after he died than he did in the series itself. I'm not sure if that person's reading the same manga as the rest of us.

It's interesting to note that compared to most other fantasy Shounens, Bleach seems to have a higher than average regard for science. Look at all the scientific characters such as Mayuri, Urahara, Aizen etc and their devlopment. In generic shounen, scientific characters are usually just brushed aside in order for the non-scientific characters to shine. I guess that's another way Kubo incorporates Seinen ideals of the value of science into his fantasy manga.

Was Bleach confirmed to go on for a few more years? We could probably get a repeat of Hueco Mundo where the remaining Quincies fall back leaving Ichigo to learn some ultimate technique and eventually defeat Ywach, or whomever is really calling the shots here. And of course maybe a dispute between Ichigo and Ishida about Quincies and Soul Reapers. You know with how long Hueco Mundo lasted, even from the introduction of Shinji, seeing this arc drag on for years (assuming it follows the same guidelines of course, which it has to an extent) is starting to sound more and more likely.

The moment he said "The deep inner machinations of my mind would require a dissertation written on them for any of you plebeians to understand them", my troll-dar was beeping. When he directly references the 4 (full!) posts he said he would need to write as being "too difficult" while he tries to pass himself off as a man of culture by doing the very most stereotypical things a budding adolescent such as himself would think of (sipping tea and listening to fine music), my troll-dar broke.
A way to sap the class right out of "classy" evening is for him to be reading a Bleach volume while he drinks that tea. He better at least be some avant-garde hipster classy person that is inspired by Bleach's lack of depth, which helps him with his home decor of painting his walls soulless white with little background doodles on them to convey the "distance" and "air" he wants his guests to feel from his deep dark soul._

Not to be that guy, but how is that wrong?
Granted, there aren't very many options of what Gin could be thinking at the moment.
Is the writer giving Kubo too much credit? Of course. At least the writer actually sounds pretty grounded and not talking about how Aizen is a seraph butterfly and 3 holes = the anti-christ or Bleach "represents the cleansing of souls, it's so deep."
However, I DO hate that this writer enjoyed the Fullbringer arc… I didn't even think that was possible.

The thing that is wrong is not "what they're thinking" but rather that the depiction of the scene is actually noteworthy as "highly regarded" art that is "ten times the information that is exchanged between two characters". What does that even mean? The silence itself actually conveys ten times more information than spoken words? Silence is ten times more effective in communicating ideas? Also the fact that the author adds that it is "ten times the information…through ANY amount of dialogue in ANY manga" is sheer idiocy.
Am I the only one that cannot understand what this Bleach fan is trying to say? I mean his general points are obvious, but stuff like "ten times the information...blah blah blah" makes no sense to me. Jesus Christ just say "The silent exchange between the two worked well in...whatever Kubo tried to do with this scene(PERIOD)".

Ichigo's character development was good for most of the SS arc, it was after that arc that he became a cardboard character. Kubo hadn't really planned any of the events after that, and was all made up on the spot stuff, the characters also suffered because of the lack of planning.
