Just to weigh in on the whole "merge or split" issue—I'm in favor of keeping the threads merged…
Also, nice job, Warden.
Also, this emphasizes how ridiculously bad writing it is that a guy who can do all this ends up getting off-screened by a guy impersonating the big bad… seriously. Not to mention all the stuff he did in the supposedly canon novel... I understand he beat not just the previous Kenpachi, but two others, as well?
November 2nd, Friday - The release of a Sasuke gaiden!
The blank period set between Sasuke and Itachi's battle to the death and the time when Sasuke decided to call himself a hawk was turned into a novel!
After achieving his revenge, Sasuke gets involved with a village known as 'The Wolf Howling' - that he visited by relying on something left to him by his dead brother!?
'The Thunder Chronicles - The Day when the Wolf Howled'

Not to mention that the impersonator was the twin of the one he offed easily (them sharing almost same powers), boasting that he simply needed to get a bit stronger.

@RobbyBevard:
Exactly! We actually find POSITIVE things to say!
When it's two separate threads, it's ultimately checking two different threads just to see the exact same style of complaining, and the conversation grinds to a stop eventually after repeating itself for the umpteenth time. When both series are together, there's actually an occasional "Well, this was better than that this week" with a listing of highlights and positives.
Whereas when they're separate they just get complained about.No one writes direct essays that pull them both together in the same paragraph, but having the comparison does prompt some effort at finding a positive in the chapters, if only to be "not as bad" as their brethren. Not so much lately because both series have been incredibly bad, but…
But it's never anything more than "Bleach was awful because Bleach specific complaints, and Naruto was slightly better because totally unrelated reasons. Any lists there are made are exactly like the Pros/cons list people make for the One Piece chapter; I highly doubt they would vanish with a thread split, because thats just how many people organize their chapter response. And even when theres an occasional moment like this weeks "Heart/I don't care", I will hazard a guess that comparisons would have been made regardless of merged threads. Theres never any comparisons or analysis beyond that, not even any real discussion of "Kishimotos character treatment is worse than Kubos because…" etc.
@RobbyBevard:
Plus, it keeps the thread mostly on topic and interesting throughout the week, instead of having 5 hours of discussion followed by 7 days of bitching and/or silence. Keeps it fresh. They compliment each other so well. (And neither of them deserves their own thread, taking up precious forum inches.)
This might've been the case for Naruto once, but Bleach never really had any problems to fix. It was never dead for more than a day tops and was consistently on topic, and at the moment of merging was in the middle of the Fullbring arc which the posters were having a riot with. Even seperated, both threads were the most active of the subforum. So from the perspective of the Bleach thread it didn't really gain anything from this, apart from act to hammer some sort of order into the Naruto thread, which I guess is pretty much the main function of this thread: To keep Naruto from becoming the offtopic-central it once was. But after all this time, I really don't think thats an issue anymore; With a fresh crop of new posters and extended period of normal discussion, I think it's safe to assume that a sepereate Naruto thread wont spontaneously burst into anarchy again.
But I guess split threads would have a slower growth rate, and have a lack of posts constructed as
Bleach:….....
Naruto:........
which I guess is a bad thing.
Really, though they may be merged, it's still two threads: Theres always two unrelated discussions going on in parralel, never crossing each other.
Daz pretty much sums up what I wanted to say in words I never could muster to arrange as matter-of-factly as he just did. The problem is there is realy no reason to keep this going beyond the mod's having a bias towards a status quo that doesn't actualy bring anything new or interesting, but that they've grown used to and now try to convince themselves of the innate hilarity of the concept alone.
B-b-but the thread titles!:sad:

It was only a matter of time, really.
In fact, I'm surprised it took this long.
Why does the protagonist get a gaiden?
!
Is this by Kishimoto?That particular drawing of Sasuke is 5 heads above his standard efforts.
Seriously,I've seen this time and again.Kishi periodically pumps out some incredibly neat drawings,but never in his own manga.
That Sasuke picture is uncanny valley as fuck

To be quite honest at first glance i thought it was Miura doing a homage to Naruto…, but it seems unplausible, so I guess that Kishi just "got better" due to all his love for Sasuke going into his art...

The author who wrote blood prison is writing the Novel. It takes place during the timeskip.

Nope. I already posted the info about it:

The chapter when Sasuke calls them "Taka" is right after Obito ends telling Sasuke everything lol.

I see. I must have been using the wrong source.
Well that really sucks since I wanted to know more of what happened during the timeskip.
The author goes by penname Akira Higashiyama, and is a Taiwanese residing in Japan.
He's day-job is a Chinese teacher in a university in Fukuoka.
Has served as translator for the Fukuoka Police on cases involving Chinese suspects as well.
That sounds pretty awesome lol.
He's most successful novel was a small hit "Turd on the run" with 200k copies sold.
As far as I can tell, this Naruto novel is his second Jump novel, first being a Neuro one.
@Naruto:
Why can't Kumagawa get a gaiden and not this turd on the run
Why can't Kumagawa get a gaiden and not this turd on the run
Im pretty sure he got his on novel at least I read something about that a long time ago.
I say the thread should stay as one for one simple reason - the emotions both comics invoke are identical. It's already hard enough to recognise which is which in the mess their respective authors have turned their early efforts into.

There are already two Medaka Box novels about Kumagawa out written by Nisioisin himself.
