We've seen various instances along this arc where it was almost foiled due to Luffy & the StrawHats. The way I see it, the arc has concluded more in accordance with the StrawHats. They all got what they wanted (Kids saved, Kinemon & Momo saved, evil scientist defeated, Luffy getting help with defeating one of the Yonkou; all of that with Law's "help")
I guess what I'm trying to say is, the "According to plan" situation isn't exactly exclusive to Law. Explicitly noted by Law himself here

Okay so my genuine prediction for how the whole DD thing turns out is this: Past major one piece arcs all had things in common, major battles. Alabasta, Skypeia, and Enies Lobby all panned out to have bigger things going on in the midst of personal duels. So like there was a war going on while Luffy fought Crocodile, a battle while Luffy fought Enel, and a buster call with 5 vice admirals all theoretically stronger than luffy at that time while he fought Lucci, I believe that the final showdown with Doflamingo will probably take place while he is getting some sort of resistance against Kaidou vs. Kaidou's crew and himself while he faces luffy. Can't anyone see how awesome that will be? I feel like that with that, you can feel the equivalency between Luffy and DD while you realize there is a bigger monster behind all of that. With Doflamingo down, the shichibukai will definitely have to be revamped at this point, possibly many level 6 prisoners taking the helm.

This is what I was gonna say but no he doesn't know, though I'm surprised Nami didn't mention that in the flashback. I think the fact Luffy is 3 or 4 days away from a bomb he accidentally blowing up in Big Mam's face OR just the fact he already said he kick her ass is what will derail taking down Kaidou. I mean they have a 30% chance at success but if Big Mam interferes or is brought into it then the plan for Yonkou would collapse. When Law finds out/when Big Mam is brought back into the fold is what I want to see most in the next arc.

Okay, I haven't read all 26 pages of this thread, but I had an idea as to Kaidou. I think he's a Giant. It would make sense why he's not labeled as the strongest "Man" in the world if he's actually a Giant instead of a human, and it makes the most sense since the peeks we've gotten of him so far show a pretty humanoid figure. Also, it'd be fairly uncontroversial to call a giant "the strongest" since he'd literally tower over his enemies, and the stereotypical Giant temperament (SMASH STUFF) fits in line with what we know about Kaidou already. Also, assuming he's on Elbaf, it would make alot of sense for him to be creating a zoan army, since if the island has a fantasy setting like people think, there would be alot more interesting creatures to creates Zoans for than just LION-TIGER-BEAR OH MY.
It also would make any Zoan he might have that much scarier. I mean, a Lion Zoan would be strong but nothing particularly exceptional. A 20-story tall Lion on the other hand, would be able to pretty much wreck anyone and anything standing in it's way.
So after all DD really cares about his warlord status.

I would say thats most likely the reason, but i feel like he's more scared at the fact that Kaidou will kill him if he doesnt get the product. And also you have to realize that without his Shichibukai status, he probably cannot continue the SAD production as effectively with the marines constantly attacking him. So either way, he is in a crazy situation. This might be the first villain we may actually feel sentimental about when its all over folks.

He had the room present outside the lab that he teleported into. His cutting of the mountain range might just be because of his actual skill as a swordsman. The chains he physically swapped during his stay on the island. He did, but his room was not present when he shocked him. Even if it was, how was he able to create the electricity? From what we can tell his power doesn't allow for him to create, only manipulate.

For having your heart taken from your body, yeah it is. And, also, Smoker was not unconscious that long. Maybe a minute at most.
Law can swatch opponents mind with present woodlice. Or suspend them helplessly in midair. Swap their places with earth 100 meters below ground. Or obtain any item of their choosing instantly through scan. Teleport himself out of danger.
The first thing alone is hella overpowered.
We have no proof he can switch someone with woodlice. For all we know it only works on humans. And, what do all those things you just listed have in common. They do no direct harm to the person. The only time we have ever seen Law harm someone was the Yeti Cool Brother with the Counter Shock. Even beyond that, we know that Law's powers can be resisted via haki. Downside there is that Law apparently has some ferocious haki.
Now, I'm not saying any of this is fact. Simply between Smoker's statement that being in Law's Room is equivalent to being on his operating table, the fact that Law has only ever injured someone using Counter Shock, and that Oda has never created a "hax" character, Law's power being nerfed by the One-Piece world's version Hippocratic Oath make sense in order to keep him balanced.

I was thinking about this too reading the spoilers last night. My guess was the SAD/Arms/Drugs/slaves that Dofla was dealing was also probably advantageous to the higher ups in the government, because we know the nobles abused the shit of the stuff as well. That's what I guessed, but I think it's significant that he was cocky about it then, and terrified of it now. Maybe his title protects him from Kaidou? He has the military back up by being a shichibukai, but without that title, he's going to be subject to them AND kaidou.
But then, if he was being that cocky about threatening to quit then I assumed he might have Kaidou's protection FROM the marines, as long as he still was producing SAD for Kaidou. Of course now he can't send anyone SAD, so he's fucked either way.
But this is why I said I'd be disappointed; is Doflamingo being in control of SAD the ONLY thing that keeps his ass on top? He had to be a force to be reckoned with to get up to that kind of level, so I'm hoping we'll get to see him trying to stay on top and in control. I'd feel disappointed if he went down that easy, because he's always had an air of mystery and hype that he is a lot more dangerous then he appears. His cronies went down way to easily, I just hope there's a lot more to it then what we know so far.

That's exactly what I have been saying these past weeks, people were dickriding DD so much it was painful to read. Overestimating to the max, but I doubt he will resign and I doubt he will tell Kaidou. Oda is amazing and I kind of developed a soft spot for DD and don't want him to get hunted :((
lol, yeah he has been overrated to a pretty hilarious level. I think he is still very strong just not maybe at the level of the Yonko, still likely one of the strongest Shichibukais as well. When I saw Doflamingo listed as the strongest Shichibukai a while back, I had to laugh my ass off.
I am liking this game of wits between Doflamingo and Law, it's to a degree like a game of chess. I can see after Law's had his fun, Doflamingo pulls out his puppeteer ideas and puts Law and potentially the SHs in a bad position in the future. Nice change of pace from Oda's style of one of the dumbest protagonists in manga history pounding enemies with sheer will, skill and at times a lot of luck.. Which is awesome and I wouldn't have Luffy any other way, but adding different angles and making other characters relevant (one of Oda's greatest strengths imo) is nice to see.

I don't mind the behind the scenes things where he was reflecting on Monet's death but as it is right now he went from being unsympathetic and power hungry to vulnerable. Every puppeteer has this happen to them when things aren't going as planned. They usually freak out, it happens all the time and will happen to Law (and part of why Law has already gotten pissed at Luffy before). These types of people always have things go their way due to their intelligence and to a point strength, but they loose their shit when things completely turn upside down. I don't want to spoil anything, but Death Note is another nice example of it.
It's only logical that Doflamingo gets a bit pissed off for someone whose plans always go how he chooses.
On thing that confused me was that Doflamingo said to Law you're a hard man to find, yet Law was at PH for months, and Monet was there watching him for Dofla… Maybe he underestimated him (the likely answer), but it seems pretty stupid to not take care of business and let him hang out in the same place where Doflamingo's puppet (Ceasar) is so important to him...

It wouldn't work if Kizaru was with other random guys that don't fit in with his theme. It would be awkward and not make sense, that's why the former Admirals are all split up, because they only look right when they are together or separate.
Also, it would be an ass-pull if Oda made a random character that is Admiral level, and it won't happen because this isn't Bleach.

Look, Mr Foxy, Law talked about "Marine Admirals", not "the Marine Admiral". It's not just something based on one letter, either, it's about accidentally writing at least a whole symbol which makes it plural - and CCC said that Oda very rarely makes mistakes like that. You're basing your theory of One Admiral on your own interpretation of symbology, basically. But the latest chapter has provided actual, tangible evidence stating very clearly that there are more Marine Admirals than just one. You can't deny that the evidence is there, and that it is incontrovertible. All you can argue for is that it's a mistake. That's a possibility, yes. But usually, things are not mistakes. So neither probability nor facts are on your side at this point. You could still be right, but it's not looking good. shrugs Seems like there really are new Admirals around.

No he aint. So any difference between Doflamingo and Law is equal to the difference between Doflamingo and Luffy. Which means that Law is just as viable a candidate to fight Doflamingo. Regardless of difference in Doffy-Law strength, that is how it is presented.
I always see Law as the person who will bind Luffy emotionally on DD.
That means Law will be the person why Luffy wants to fight DD badly + Momonusukes past. Laws plan was so far damn good and he has DD as far as he is now forced to make a move, but everyone is screaming he has DD now on a silver tablet.
Afterall he just declared open war on him and now he starts to act accordingly.
DD has a hard time to deal with it, but nobody in his right mind should be convinced that someone like DD would just take such a hit and live with it or wouldn`t answer that in the same fashion.
DD will for sure plan his revenge and a villain who aint get at one point the upper hand again..cmon its a manga and so DD will for sure turn the tables later. Having Law now as his main focus sure allows a lot speculation that those two will clash at one point, but in my eyes its just a prelude that Law will somehow lose and Luffy has to face DD in a final battle.(add that we get Laws sad backstory) When this wouldnt be the case Law would show that he actually can even overcome his greatest nemesis on his own, which would make him a second protagonist of the story, because Luffy wouldnt have to fight the main villain of the arc. (beside Kaidou would also be there, but defeating alone a yonkou..well) By that the alliance with Luffy would be at least at this point–well, pointless, because normally Luffy helps his friends out of hard situations(at least fight the strongest guy) and doesnt stand by watching them getting shit done themselves.

From what we knew before his fight with Smoker he couldn't even scan and levitate things, neither could he switch out "souls/personalities". You can't base your assumption on the simple principle that it's a different ability; also you can't really know if the room was there or not from the shots we have, the room is much bigger than those.

To be fair to you, Foxy, I also had the same impression. If the Admiral spots were vacant, then Oda would be saving them for Smoker and Coby. However, Smoker and Coby don't fit the rest of the themes you mentioned. They don't fit into the Momotaro Legend, they would be different heights, only Kizaru would have the face of an actor, only Kizaru and Smoker would have a color theme (Yellow and White), and even that breaks the three primary color theme, and only Kizaru and Smoker would have a Logia, unless Coby decides to eat a Logia Devil Fruit. I can see Smoker as an Admiral, eventually, but I feel that, as of now, the Admiral positions are either filled or there no longer is a three Admiral limit.

But Coby's dream is to be an Admiral. It wouldn't make sense in my opinion for him to just stop at VA. Garp is different case althogether. He should've had his own rank "Kick-ass Admiral" joking about the latter half
I agree with Foxy that Blackbeard's theme is that of a pig. It fits not only because of that comment, but because of symbology. So if we can base the idea of Blackbeard's animal theme on that one comments, Foxy - and I think we can - then why can we not base the idea of there being more than one Admiral on one single comment?
