The official site for the games revealed the names of the 2 legendaries. The deer is Xerneas and the bird is Yveltal.
The deer has the most awesome name and a mass of swag, but I like the look of Yveltal better, actually.

Anyone else reminded of Christmas when they look at Xerneas' antlers? (dare I say, Xmas?) I never name my legendaries, but now I'm highly tempted to name it Rudolph.

^ Well you have to remember that they are rendering every single one of those pokemon and previous pokemon in 3d, plus attacks, and other animations. Im sure its over 750, so probably around a hundred new pokemon like generation 2.

Like I said I believe the Famitsu article says well over 700, I think its just vague because the number of pokemon is not going to be a selling point this time, Corcoro migth have more info on the actual number but I'm expecting to only know it next month or in March.
Not sure which version I want to pick up. I like both the legendaries the same practically…

It's like… E-VEL-TAL.
I noticed they didn't show any artwork for the main trainers. This really does lead me to believe that the trainers might be cutomizable. It would make sense, since it's easier to do with 3D models than sprites(for ID, back and front in battle, and walking on the map… they'd have to make artwork of the same clothing and features multiple times).

I found Rayquaza's design pretty close to the depictions of Quetzalcoatl, except the feathers part.
Xerneas looks a lot like Dialga, but much better. But whatever; it's time to go an another adventure.
Okay so it's decided then, I'm getting a 3DS. Love the starters, hope that the whole dark - psychic - fighting subtype theory is right. If it is I'll have a hard time deciding between the fire and the grass dudes.

The thing is the chances of being being customizable is higher since they're on the 3DS, and what with a fair amount of DLC for other games… there's potential for DLC for X and Y (hopefully it'll be free though to a point)

Well, it means they might be able to actually HIDE some of the legendaries until the time is right to reveal them… instead of everyone knowing about Keldeo, meleotta and genosect the first day the game was out.

It'll very likely be closer to 100-120… but they won't have a definitive final number until the tale end of production. Stuff will be tweaked and balanced and added and redesigned up until the end. (Apparently in Gen 5 the staters didn't have their final forms finalized till the last couple weeks.)
Besides, they need some surprises to announce over the next 8 months.. final dex count is one of the very last things they'll reveal. (And those lie about legendaries anyway.)

Those same pokemon are also part of movie promotion, they make merchandise the entire year just promoting said pokemon.
Plus they are giving them for free we aren't paying them so I doubt we will in the future.
Another thing they can make with DLC is, if they keep the World Tournament(and I can't imagine why they wouldn't), they can keep adding new leaders and tournaments, I'm sure they aren't focusing on making a bunch of old gym leaders and elite four new cellshading models for release, so they could give that out for free later.
I can see them selling DLCs with training items for people who don't want to farm them, heard Fire Emblem has some DLC that are basicly farming maps that give lots of gold.

Well its pretty easy to do it this days, before it was used to promote trading/socializing between the kids, I've meet some friends through Pokemon actually when I was a kid(still my friends today), since its so easy I doubt they would introduce a diferent method but I wouldn't mind it either way.
Don't really care either way about the Legendaries; I mean, they're awesome, but legendaries in general are never the reason I buy a specific Pokemon game.
Maybe I'll go with Version Y, just because.
I think I'll go with Y since I just love the design of that bird.

Well, this game is one of the main reasons why I just got a 3DS. I think I'll be going with X, though. The design of the elk legendary is a lot more appealing to me. None of the designs of the legendary Pokemon have really struck me since Lugia and Ho-Oh, but these ones do.
DLC and Pokemon should only work in the case that Robby said. Keep the data of the event legendaries off the cart and we actually get surprises for a few years!
I cant wait to see the final forms of the starters, only then will i be able to make my choice.

I like those fakeones though and I agree with Robby seems to me like Tepig is the only one that seems logical out of the last three.
Its like a guy did Snivy, Servine one did Oshawott and Dewott, then another guy did their final forms without asking them anything.
Actually I felt Serperior was the logical third step of that evolution line. Probably the best of the starter evolutions from V in my opinion, since Samurott was random (And nowhere near as badass as Dewott) while Emboar, in my opinion, just looked lame and really forced.

Why? she just lost her legs it makes no sense to me, Samurott lost mobility and becomes a tank instead of an agile samurai, how is Emboar forced? Tepig, evolves becomes a figthing pig that can stand up evolves to a bigger figthing pig, Emboar seems natural like all the other old starters, Samurott and Serperior doesn't.
We got freaking Remoraid-> Octilery so anything is kinda acceptable evolution wise anyway.

The legs and arms get bigger as a Servine and then bam loses then, I just think they were kinda lost with it, they didn't know what to do and when full snake who cares style, same with Samurott.
I do like the pokemon, I just would have prefer them not to be their previows form evolution nothing else.

Emboar's fire beard worked well with the wrestling motif to make him look like a neck-bearded fanboy, it must be said. Still loved him all the same, the big lutz.
