You got me for a second there mate. Still, I wouldn't care much, if it's for Oda's sake
One Piece 707: B Block

They took it down: they didn't want to cause a panic.
I was able to save the text before it got taken down.
Tokyo - Eiichiro Oda, author of the hit manga 'One Piece' has dropped all his activities on doctors order. The famous writer has been making long hours and getting little sleep. It's rumored that he has been suffering from a burn-out and that his current work schedule pushed him over the edge. Sources inside WSJ report that the graphic novel artist will be out of the running for at least 3 weeks. Producers of the long running story One Piece are discussing how to solve this problem and are even considering to use other mangaka to finish the concept drafts that Oda made in advance, so that they at least can keep publishing the manga in the weeks of Oda's absence. It's still unknown how serious this condition is but it's expected that WSJ will give an update on the entire situation soon.

Yep. I call fake, sounds too drastic, nice try though.
-
Why would that cause panic? And why would they took down if people would see that it would be any chapter for 3 weeks?
-
Many OP readers are pretty old… During the timeskip, the rate of suicide and accident really increased a lot in Japan... So they keep this information as a secret until the next release of WSJ...

You think someone would do that? Just go on the internet and tell lies?

@Strelоk:

Yeah, its called trolling.
-
There's been competing rumours recently about Oda receiving accusations of having others ghostwrite, not to mention plagarism.
Been wondering if we'd see a sign that they're true. Month break for "exhaustion"? A likely story.
This seems like a huge scandle about to break -

I have to agree esp on seeing this part=
" Producers of the long running story One Piece are discussing how to solve this problem and are even considering to use other mangaka to finish the concept drafts that Oda made in advance, so that they at least can keep publishing the manga in the weeks of Oda's absence."@Strelоk:

I like your sarcasm … its subtle and I nearly didn't catch it ... as in not until I already typed up this =
Why not, its been done before. Various people have gone online and said things like "Oda's quit" (that was some time ago, maybe 5-7 yrs after the start), to that he was injured in that earthquake that created the big Tsunami, and damaged the reactor (forgot was that lst yr or the one before?) to (most recent one and I only heard hear) that his house was broken into and some future storyline concepts -including far-fetched and some really future events- were leaked.
-
-
Have we already lost faith in humanity completely? To think that a good-willing person, trying to spread the word of Oda-sensei taking a break, would be accused of making the whole thing up only to get a few laughs out of it… that's just too sad. Shame on you, evil beings. Shame on you.

You mean what you're doing right now? Please don't make fun of Oda's condition.

I was talking about the people who lies in the internet.
-
This is what the internet does to people when they don't have a fresh dose of manga every week.
It's scary, I still remember the one month timeskip break like it was yesterday.

Oh I'm sorry. I didn't realise that the person who bitched at Vergo using Haki to strengthen his blow of air out of his bamboo stick being unnecessary would come here and tell us that we have petty arguments.
Bitched? No no, honey; I was ridiculing. Ridiculing the people ARGUING about Vergo and his haki. So, yeah, I'll say it again: You do have petty arguments.

Oh my god the lot of you just shut up and STOP.
For christ sake. Pardon my backseat moderating but this thread has turn to shit. That goes for both parties (if there is).
That goes for you, guy who's going to quote this just to say "16 CHARACTERS OF THIS" or "QFT" or whatever useless crap.
Take your personal, off-topic, circle-jerk arguments to PMs or to some other thread. God.

I don't get why Monkey King is such a rude boy. And I don't mean the cool kind of Rude Boy of the Jamaican music slang variety (also referred to as rudeboys, rudies, rudis. The rude boy subculture arose from the poorer sections of Kingston, Jamaica, and was associated with violent discontent youths. Along with ska and rocksteady music, many rude boys favoured sharp suits, thin ties, and pork pie or Trilby hats; influenced by the fashions of American jazz musicians and soul music artists. American cowboy and gangster/outlaw films from that period were also influential factors in shaping the rude boy image. In that time period, unemployed Jamaican youths sometimes found temporary employment from sound system operators to disrupt competitors' dances (leading to the term dancehall crasher). The violence that sometimes occurred at dances and its association with the rude boy lifestyle gave rise to a slew of releases by artists who addressed the rude boys directly with lyrics that either promoted or rejected rude boy violence. Starting in the 1970s, Jamaican reggae music replaced the ska and rocksteady music associated with the rude boys. In the 1980s, dancehall became the main Jamaican popular music genre, drawing some parallels with the earlier rude boys in its culture and lyrical content.)

That's why I stay far away from this section as much as humanly possible.Okay normally I wouldn't keep going with this but the thread is a heap of cow crap anyways atm so who the fuck cares.
You say people were arguing about Vergo and his Haki, in a way that sounds like there was a long argument about Vergo and his Haki and how he used it, and that you found it ridiculous. You "ridiculed" the people who were "arguing"? Now you're just fooling yourself or trying to look good. Either of the two.
The first thing that came up about it in the New World thread was Jacker asking somebody where it was implied that Vergo should have a Devil's Fruit.
CaptainKid replied saying he thought the exploding bamboo stick was a Devil Fruit, a perfectly understandable case of misunderstanding and not remembering it well in my opinion. Foxy replied to this saying that he just used Haki to blow the dart out of it.^ So that was basically it. All that happened. To which you stepped into the discussion to ask why Haki would be needed to blow air into a piece of wood.
Somebody replied to you normally saying that he enhanced the dart with his Haki, which is something that was a given since Amazon Lily, and Rayleigh explained us about enhancing weapons with Haki before the timeskip.
And then you replied with one of the most stupid posts I have ever seen.(If you want to check for yourself, knock yourself out: http://apforums.net/showthread.php?t=24549&page=59&p=2856434&viewfull=1#post2856434)
I'll agree: a lot of the stuff going on here, is petty. The context in which you said that everything going on here was petty, wasn't so petty at all. The above example however, was.

Well I was more confused than anything, but I figured out what was actually going on there lol.
Who else do I pander to? Just curious. Aside from far-away standoffish thinking of, "yeah I enjoy reading that person's posts," I can't think of many times I come out and say "wow you're amazing!"
