what i don't like is the fact that law dodged all of smokers jute attacks and felt that the jute's tip is made of seastone but luffy got hit once when smoker was in tashigi's body. I'd very much like to see the full extent of luffy zoro and sanji's strength in a battle very much like the one in enies lobby cose all the others they either foght together or with moria with the shadows i just want a full on battle, Law and Kid and Luffy are all probably as strong as the admirals except Akainu, well if not like them then pretty close to that but it's well known that the 4 emperors are each stronger than an admiral by themselfs and each emperor has at the very least 2-3 admiral class officers, what i'm trying to say it's that i don't see zoro or sanji getting at that level for luffy to become emperor himself.

I think the interesting thing about that is Luffy was just screwing around, once he got focused, not even serious, he
completely outclassed Smoker in Tashigi's body. And he completely dodged and redirected Tashigi in Smoker's body.
While Law was fighting seriously against smoker from the beginning. -
The way Luffy went G2 [even thought he didn't need to] seems to me that it was his way to show Smoker "his long time rival" how much progress he has made .
Something like his way to say "our next fight won't go as it used to" . -
Well, it's not about Luffy being hit, it's about Luffy being hit and not giving a fuck about it. He was like "uhhh… that's dangerous dodge". He was completly underestimating Smoshigi, as soon as he found out what the heck was going on he evaded every thing while laughing his ass off, and then he just plain outclassed Smoshigi. Obviously Smoshigi countered and all but Luffy was about as serious as I am when I say I'm pregnant... yes, I'm male.
So, yeah... this whole chapter was just "the reason why I love Luffy"... When he burst out laughing I couldn't help but do the same... And the way he was like "Oh, so you're ok?", like "I'd actually like to fight you myself, but if you go down sooner I don't really care". And then saying that fighting him would be pointless... It's not like he cares about hurting smoker or something. It's just that. It would be pointless. He would win nothing from beating him up, and it's not like Smoker is annoying him right now.
So yeah, I just love how Luffy's character is so unpredictable yet so predictable... Like, he is unpredictable but really well characterized. So that even when he does the most unexpected shit we can just scream: "That's Luffy for you... 8D!!" -

Forget the actual fodder, even Tashigi got fodderized pretty quickly here. And she got called weak again, and again. It sure didn't take very long. I hope she becomes respectable at some point (strength wise).

In the panel Luffy comments about seastone, Smoker's jutte looks pretty weird. There are a couple instances like that in this chapter. The art is all still good, but it lacks the level of perfection I'm used to from the series. Not that I'm complaining (because for the most part it's still great), just observing.

Luffy's whole interaction with Smoker is priceless. From being confused as to why old what's-her-name is so strong, to learning the truth and laughing about it, to shocking Smoker with his speed, to his comments about saving the rematch for later. I wonder just how much that body limits Smoker. Not just losing his fruit powers, but also the physical ability (strength and such).

Franky fired his laser for a third time, and Luffy STILL has yet to see it. Oda's definitely doing it on purpose at this point, so I want to know why. I do really enjoy this Luffy/Franky/Robin trio they have going, even if it hasn't amounted to much yet. I have faith.

Oda totally tricked me by having Zoro/Sanji/Brook facing down the giant slime. But this little display of transportation answers a lot of questions. It can split up and reform at will, and it hates water. Fire makes it blow up, which is weird with the whole fire land part that it's on, but the size needing more time to get hot argument works for me. I hope Zoro attacks it before it totally disappears, but I'm not really sold on that idea. I guess we still get to learn what else is lurking in that lake.

I'm not really sure what to make of Robin's reaction to the ship blowing up. She's the only one faced away, she closed her eyes, but her head is turned towards the blast so it's not like she couldn't bear to watch. The hand gets me too. It's almost as if she's thinking "those damn morons".

I never expected both the slime and Ceasar to come to that outside area that Luffy and Smoker are at. I expected an adventure into the lab, but this works fine. But Luffy ending the chapter by interrupting Ceasar's monologuing habit is great. I get the feeling that Ceasar will use the slime as a distraction when he learns Luffy's too strong for him and run away.

Actually russian is written with the bulgarian alphabet. Also "пиши на английски" is in bulgarian, not in russian.

But about the chapter, nothing to talk about really. Some SmokerxLuffy development, some explosions and lasers and mostly fodder. HOWEVER doesn't Luffy use G2 a bit too much considering that it supposedly shortens his life?

From Amazon Lily through Marineford (two days), he used G2 ten times. Six of those times were during the battle.
If that didn't kill him, I don't know what will. Also, I think that post-TS G2 may not have the same drawbacks. -
"Burst" G2 shouldn't have any negative effects. It's part of Luffy's mastery of the technique that he avoids its negative side-effects by using it in these new ways. That's a logical way to improve upon an ability, right? Mitigating or removing its drawbacks while keeping the strength. Just like he doesn't shrink after G3 anymore. And it's like Kaioken all over again, the technique which seems to be the inspiration for G2. Now it can be used no differently from how Kizaru used his light-travel to scare the shit out of the Supernovas even though he didn't have to.

I just can't help but wonder… If this is a single instant of gear 2, just how powerful has Luffy gotten? Holly shit. He can do this while punching you around, and as soon as you give him an opening he throws a big one... I'm so eager to see Luffy fighting seriously...

Well, even though Smoker was in Tashigi's body and he's not at full power, Luffy still surprised the hell out of him (which was just awesome to see). He may not be at his full strength in her body but he was going all out on Luffy and as soon as he kicked in to gear 2nd I think it's safe to say it was basically over for Smoker (in that form at least).
I'm also very interested to see how strong Luffy has gotten, so much that I'm even getting angry that we're just getting little teases here and there.

It all started with me saying "Thanks as always Redon" in spanish because I saw his location. Then Strelok replied my post saying "Write in english" in bulgarian and I thought it was russian and tried to read it, and as my russian reading skills are doubtful I quoted him asking if I had the pronunciation right and mentioning my visit to St. Petersburg. Then Strelok replied that it wasn't russian but bulgarian, in bulgarian. Now then a wil Silverblade appeared and answered my question about the pronunciation and explained a few differences between the bulgarian and russian spellings.
And that's how I met your mother.
Long story short: We educated each other a bit.

i would've liked it if pieces of slime we're raining down because zoro cut it, only to have a panel with him saying "oops" as they watch it reform on the other side of the lake. oh well.
Another not giving a flux 101 lesson with luffy, i was thinking CC liked too talk to much, maybe he'll learn from the experience. I don't know if he was being too independent and overconfident with the slimes abilities, but for a dangerous logia he didn't seem to have CoO active while hopping into the middle of a fight, hence luffy easily grabbed him. Definitely not over, but i'd like luffy to win slightly overwhelmingly to impress the marines/law.
