@Monkey:
Gee Smudge I dunno lol, maybe we should return to the subject of British colonialism, maybe we'll find some clues!
is North America criticising England for colonialism? Haha you folks have pretty much done this to several countries the past decade, but without the formal document acknowledging it. You just have a puppet government put in place to calm the population while taking backhanders from US ran companies. And this isn't even a joke, this is a running gag since the 60's and you still do it.
England gave up on this idea years ago, while you folks carry on invading and raping countries of resources.The only real difference is the hatred of England's a dying joke while the US's enemies are still growing. And I know it's easy to laugh it off with some bin laden stereotype, but wait till you see the footage of thousands of innocent men, women and children killed as a byproduct of your presence in other countries….and in these modern times.
And big fucking lol, countries were singing songs of our exploits hundreds of years ago. You've only caught on to this thing. Seriously trying to fight using bono XD
I guess being old we've learnt from our mistakes with the new era cursed to follow the same path we did in our younger days.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Settler colonialism involves large-scale immigration, often motivated by religious, political, or economic reasons.
Exploitation colonialism involves fewer colonists and focuses on access to resources for export, typically to the metropole. This category includes trading posts as well as larger colonies where colonists would constitute much of the political and economic administration, but would rely on indigenous resources for labour and material. Prior to the end of the slave trade and widespread abolition, when indigenous labour was unavailable, slaves were often imported to the Americas, first by the Spanish Empire, and later by the Dutch, French and British.
Plantation colonies would be considered exploitation colonialism; but colonizing powers would utilize either type for different territories depending on various social and economic factors as well as climate and geographic conditions.
Surrogate colonialism involves a settlement project supported by colonial power, in which most of the settlers do not come from the mainstream of the ruling power.
Internal colonialism is a notion of uneven structural power between areas of a nation state. The source of exploitation comes from within the state.
you fall under exploitation colonialism.
