Just evrything about it was great.
It was maybe the best of the arc. i especally liked the "encounter" with BB and the part with Barto.
There are again many new things that need further explanation respectively got a lot of potential for future arcs/chapters.

I am wondering about two things. Chinjao said something aboutt lost memory's and was asking luffy what garp did to him. Does this makes sense? He know what garp did according to the flashback.Second thing is…why does Barto know about alabasta? WG covered it. Good chapter...barto part was weird though

I enjoyed the typical star struck barto moments, not fangasming though. I liked the chinjao panels better, accidentally splitting the floor in half. Awesome.
Had to have a rebecca sob story somewhere, i like the context though. It's in Luffy's nature to help people, and he likes rebecca, so that's easy to tie together. Still don't want her to get the mera mera no mi, or pretty much anybody else at this point. Hopefully jesus runs off with it amongst all the chaos or something.

Awesome parts: Bartolomeo being a fanboy of Luffy, not just recently though, way back in Loguetown (that was a surprise). Has he been following Luffy's exploits for more than 2 years? Even during the 2 year gap when Luffy disappeared from the public eye? Dude has dedication.
What made me laugh was how brutal he was and while fanboying over the posters.

About Rebecca, not sure if she will end up with the Mera Mera, since she sees it as a way to defeat Doflamingo.
Though if Luffy and co. pull through this arc and topple Joker Flamingo's regime, she probably won't need it and Luffy can store that blessed Macguffin on the Sunny until the next conflict.

Pretty sure that is supposed to be her, given the context (her speech about the soldier). But it's not too weird. He could have been turned right at the start of DD's reign, 10 years ago (almost definitely very early on, in any case, given that he probably rebelled), and if Rebecca is 18 or so now, then she'd have been 8 in that flashback… and they were childhood lovers at age 7...

But kyros can also be the toy soldier. He won his freedom and afterwards they turned him into a toy. Thats why nobody remembers Kyro, he is a toy.
Toy soldier has only one leg, could have been a gladiator; and that the only injury received by kyros. Plus the mission of the toy soldier is to free the gladiators.

I liked the chapter very much. Bartholomeo is a much needed polarising fun character. He gives depth to the story and distracts from some repetition here and there.
What I liked most in this chapter is the arise of Luffys fleet, adding accompanying buccaneer.
I am curious how Luffy handles them as "leader" (he should be able to lead at some point, as a pirate king, no?) and am excited to see them fight much stronger opponents than Dofla.
Aokiji is just weird at this moment. Nice.

And just like that Luffy's list of allies grew. Good for the long foreshadowed war with the WG/Marines and also good for lending a hand against a Yonkou who has tons of allies too.

This is a good question. I'm guessing he recognizes Blackbeard as a 'rising star', and is trying to use that power to undermine Akainu's marines, but I'd expect he has more of a plan than that. We're lacking too much information to really come up with any informed speculation, though.

I don't feel like "born a woman" really fits his character, but I'm sure Oda could make it work if that's what he has in mind, and ultimately, it's all about execution.
And for my thoughts on this chapter: Bartolomeo just went from an entertaining troll who I suspected was positively inclined towards Luffy, to one of my absolute favorite characters in the series. I've really been enjoying Dressrosa so far, and this has been one of my favorite chapters to date. Between Chinjao and Barto, I really feel like Oda has really been on his characterization stride this arc.

It is just that our different ways of judging the work of Oda in order to make OP a better manga is what makes it worth the waiting.
Some of us says: "No, I don't like the current story.. it's so creepy and it's a mimicry of another arc".
Some says: "Without no doubt, it is best arc by far".
and others might say: "Well, I like it but Oda still hasn't change that much in his story telling or didn't make an art progress regarding blablabla".

All human make mistakes and all Mangakas misjudge things sometimes.
Oda is not an exception.
He is seeking perfection in his story by making us, as always, hate the bad guy and then love him again in another appearance, eventually. "DD is the bad guy here"

Anyhow, the only new thing I can tell about this chapter is that the work to show Bart as a work-fan of Luffy is something totally new.

That's sort of what I've been assuming ever since Ricky's age was shown after his match. I assumed Ricky was related to Kyros, rather than him being Kyros himself, which would allow the connection to their fighting style / technique without robbing the legend of his status. Then Kyros himself would be a toy, which both robs him of his strength for the story arc and also explains why nobody remembers him. From there him being the Toy Soldier explains him protecting his Rebecca, who only knows him as a toy who protected her rather than her father who was turned in to a toy. Also his role as rebel leader. Basically Ricky looked too old to be Rebecca's estranged father.

And we don't really know if things downstairs are reconfigured or not. Inazuma's balls dropped and retreated enough to change his/her voice, at any rate.

When Ivankov was attacked in Imple Down(the first chapter where we officially are introduced to level 5.5) by that random dude that was angry at him because he made his father into woman. Didn't he say something along the lines of "No.. It'll disappear"?
I always assumed from that, that what Ivankov did was indeed a total transformation.
Maybe that was a bad translation though, I don't have the raws to check up on that.

Chances are Barto does not know what really happened at Alabasta and some article full of BS gave some explanation for Luffy's involvement on the island. If we later find out that Barto knows Luffy defeated Crocodile because the news paper said so then that would be a major screw up in continuity.
His bounty went up to 100,000,000 after so they had to have some excuse to involve him.
And Smoker's promotion was for "capturing" crocodile, which is probably what the paper stated.
Barto's fangirlism could be based on how he perceived the strawhats, meeting them in person could flip his world upside down. At EL for example i doubt the paper mentioned the strawhats tore the place up to save Robin, and the destruction caused by the buster call was blamed on them as well. So while he sees BAMF pirates destroy the judicial island, reality is a tad different.

As for the stock drawing thing it's a bit silly and over exaggerated. I don't think it's very likely that good artist have these Facebook game like templates to swap out features like clothes. I think the reason many women share similarities in one piece has more to do with its art-style.
Comics usually adopt art styles for characters/things that are simplified too varying degrees from how they appear in reality.
The thing is generally the simpler you go with your depiction of things the more nuance you lose for differentiation.
As an example if I would set myself a very simple style where faces are focused around "smiley(noseless ones)" aesthetics the things I could do to differentiate them from one another are limited to the eye, mouth area or to accessory things like scars/hats/etc. And with the base head shape always being a round circle there goes another chance for differentiation.
So to bring it back to OP. I feel Oda has somewhat limited tools when he sets out to do a "beautiful"(in lack of a better term) female character that stays within his art-style. When he creates a female character that he doesn't want to be "beautiful"(again in lack of a better term) we've seen him go wild with head/body shapes too(Sandersonia and Marigold for example).
As for why males have more varied designs, well I think because "the rule of cool"(something with impact) is somewhat less restrictive than trying to draw a pretty female character within Oda's chosen style.
Edit: So when we look at it that way in some kind of twisted perspective I can somewhat understand where the template idea comes from but the way people made it sound was rather weird.

I obviously don't like the idea of Nami-clone joining either. My suspicions stem the from fact that Rebecca does have a depressing past- a characteristics which all Straw hats are known to have. Aside from that fact, she doesn't have much going for her. Its not like Luffy shouted be my crewmate as soon as he saw her. Let's hope your right and I'm wrong.

They are assuming that DD will reappear in a more "friendly" capacity. See almost all of the OP villains so far.

The chapter pretty explicitly showed us that his admiration comes from the fact that he believes that fate has appointed Luffy to becoming the pirate king.
I mean that's not a too far fetched conclusion, coming off from what he saw in Logue town. And all the incidents after that pretty much just added to that believe that Luffy is a special person(well and he kind of is). So no I don't see the connection to cruelty here.

All the fan of Luffy, was always people meet on his road (Ivankov, Jimbei, Coby, …). But in OP world, is like a star, there is the heroes of the Marine and the "villains" pirates (like Shanks was for Luffy).
Maybe Barto is just the first pirate who travel on the see, to find their "star".
About Aokiji, I don't think is trying to hinder Akainu (and his justice), I think, he's just trying to use BB to take down pirates like DD (Vergo in the marine, the attack on Smocker, hiding Ceasar, selling DF to Kaido, ...), who is protect by the WG, almost untouchable (except for a big name like an Empereur ... or an alliance lol).
