Naruto and Bleach: Let's put this thread to bed I

Given the chapters that were in Bleach volume 52. If the series wanted to wrap up in a hurry, 479 (3 chapters from now) would be the next opportunity to do it.

After that it wouldn't be until 489, and we'd probably be in another arc by then.

So, there's a CHANCE Bleach will be done forever in 3 weeks, before the end of the year. We won't know until the week of, because they don't announce these things until the week it happens. But it could. This certainly FELT like a wrap up chapter, it's been tanking in the rankings lately, and it has run over 10 years… Dragonball went for 519, and it was still popular at the end of its run.

Of course, Kubo said he wanted to do this for another 10 years and he had ideas for "one small arc and two big ones" so...

Soul Society has been rigid for a MILLION years? I hope that's hyperbole on Rukia's part, because human civilization in general hasn't been around for a fraction of that time. Though I suppose human souls who passed to SS didn't have much to do besides build a civilization

Kubo, get your shit straight. I usually don't see inconsistencies on the first read, and I don't reread Bleach. It's you guys who show them to me. If I meet a wall of blabber like today, I just skip it. Too much of an honor to read deep into this mess. It ain't no One Piece. But even I immediately cringed at NotAizen's answer why he is half-hollow. Facepalm, gentlemen.

If I think back the only thing Kubo had to do to make bleach somewhat interesting is to make Ichigo into a fucking battle/powercrazed villain or at least someone who fights with those desires (back in hueco mundo).
Could have given him the time to make some side characters shine that are not part of the gotei.

I haven't read bleach since Aizen, but that's just a verse rule. If he says Humans have been alive one million years then that's bleach verse rule. It's only bad if he contradicts it later

THis doesn't work when Bleach is supposed to take place in the real world. You can only claim those types of universe rules when it's a universe completely of your own creation

Everything has a soul in Bleach so obviously once things started dying they naturally started becoming shinigami. Or you know Soul Society exists on a different plane then the human world which would mean time there has no relation to the human world.

I don't really like that all of the tailed beast hosts simultaneously transformed into black blobs, but at least Naruto actually has to struggle (rather than this Narujesus crap), and Kakashi and Gai showing up was both built up to (albeit only in this chapter, and at the expense of showing what the seven swordsmen are capable of), and a good sign of things to come (if everyone else is also heading that way, then maybe, just maybe, the Konoha rookies will do something. It's a long shot, but it's the only hope that I have left). I'd probably give this a Why Neji, Why? Blues.

Bleach… was just stupid. So having your parent attacked by a Hollow suddenly makes you basically a Vizard now? Why didn't Chad, or any of the fullbring users, do anything like that at any point in the series? Plus, the shinigami leaving when they outnumber the enemy eight to one (even though they might be needed), and the return of Ichigo's magical psychoanalytical sword slashes (which continue to make absolutely no sense) cement this as an absolutely dreadful chapter.

Naruto has been struggling this whole war. He has been saved/helped more times then anyone in the war. I didn't know Jesus needed that much help.

You know, I actually enjoyed Naruto for this chapter only. But I won't get any hopes up.

Bleach was pretty dumb, always trying to make the villains look "human" with their emotions and shit.
But nothing really bad about it either, felt pretty shounen jump.

Bleach, every page was a mass of black and white, just black and white, Kubo does not seem to know what gray is.

You mean when Nagato was about to kill him and was saved by Itachi going beastmode? Getting saved by Killerbee like 3 times. Naruto clones getting saved by Gaara x2, Dodai x2, and a whole army.
Just got stomped by the jins and saved by Gai/Kakashi. Naruto would of died a long time ago in his first battle with Nagato.

Once again you're taking things in only on the most literal level.

It's fanservice to have two popular characters to show up in a dynamic entrance only for them to be inevitably beaten the following chapter(s) after doing their one useful part in helping Naruto, just to show that "yeah NotMadara is still ridiculously strong". In other words, Kakashi and Guy are just setting themselves up to be what my friends and I call "Villain Fodder". Honestly it just seems like the kind of thing Bleach does like 99% of the time.

But hey, I could be wrong, maybe the Kakashi and Guy Super Ninja Super Squad might actually be more useful than saving Naruto and possibly stalling for time. I'd rather that actually be the case, but time will tell. I'll leave it at that~

And you were hoping to achieve that by... let's see... forbidding every Shinigami that comes to Earth to trasfer their powers to a human (Rukia and Ichigo), which would effectively and effortlessly create said representative that you've been so hoping to find? And make that rule punishable by death, even, to prevent it from happening, like, ever?

I think the idea is supposed to be that after Rukia made Ichigo a substitute shinigami, SS concocted the plan to use Ichigo as bait for Ginjou. Could be they had that in mind even after SS arc. But then during Hueco Mundo and the winter war Ichigo CHANGED them, somehow.

Weird, that Bleach chapter did kinda read like a final battle, just on a smaller scale. Not the final battle of an arc, but the final battle of the series. When the characters get all introspective and what not and the final boss's thoughts are how he can't possibly understand the protagonist.

It was stated when the Fullbrings were introduced (I'm too lazy to find the chapter right now), and I think Chad made made a comment back in Hueco Mundo that his powers were more like Hollows. (this doesen't explain how they got these powers, but I thought I'll mention it)

I remember when Chad said that (although I don't remember any of his family being attacked by hollows, I just assumed he got his powers a different way like Orohime) but it was just with these group of guys that I didn't recall that fact.

I was leaning to their power just being something occurring among humans not necessarily directly connected to hollows.
