very cool chapter. Jimbe is still effin' bland and i cant bring myself to like him, but the Monster Trio had some cool moments. Zoro and Sanji know a lot about Haki now it seems…...and Usopp, where is your so-called graduation from the Weak Trio now ? lol

I don't know what to think of Jinbe this chapter. Him not being on the coverspread is against him, but the "10" in the chapter name is counting him in. I'm slowly being convinced that he's joining week by week.

The spread was great. Nice to see a colorspread with characters taken from the current arc (not just random SH theme). Love how they just ignored Zeo then Zeo saying he did it on purpose. lol Never expected Hody wanted to be the Pirate King too.

the thing is that we are dealing with a Jimbei in HIS ARC. He has a strategy and all this stuff going on because he knows the people and the island and everything.
Throw him in a random island with having no history with and then what? Doesn't seem any different than sanji or nami in the preplanning stages of a battle.

Wooo that's a cool color spread (I guess the 140's year old has to wait a week). Brook is hilarious as always. I like that the majority of the friendly characters from the arc got a cameo appearance in it too.
Haha, I love Luffy's opinions about reputation. He usually seems to go back to "we're pirates dammit, people are supposed to hate us!" And also not wanting to be cheered on. But his meat explanation and Jinbe subsequently turning around and using it to calm him down are priceless.
I love Jinbe's "plan" and how he prioritizes the name of it. He fits right in.
For some reason, no matter how overdone it may be, seeing Nami smack Brook as he asks for the princess's panties made me laugh.
Hody thinks VDD was useless, but he has no idea what's coming lol. For some reason his reverie plan doesn't surprise me much at all coming from him.

On other matters, I totally loved the chapter, it was excellent, specially the humor which was great and unexpected as always! and even tho I expected some ass-whoopin' this chapter left me very satisfied.

First off, great chapter. But I've always had a bit of a problem with Luffy declaring 'I'm a pirate, I shouldn't be loved at all, I should be hated! Plus, I want it all for myself.' I understand where he's coming from, but I feel like this is such an underdeveloped side to his personality. It has been awhile since I read the manga from the beginning, but the only other time I can recall him doing this is during the Skypiea arc at the end where he wants to steal some of the gold. Other than that, he's always been about protecting his Nakama and becoming the man with the most freedom on the sea.
And Jinbe's chemistry with the crew is apparent here but until he declares his dream, like every single previous Straw Hat crew member did prior to joining, he won't be joining the Straw Hat crew. And not the dream of 'Fishmen and Humans living together peacefully.' That's Otohime's dream, not his dream. Something personal. I'll be excited the second I see him telling Luffy what he truly wants because then I'll know he will join. But if he doesn't, then I have to say Jinbe isn't joining.

That's what the next chapter's for, bro.
We were all expecting a flashback to Jinbe and Luffy, and we got that, and it took up the amount of time it should've.
What this chapter served as was MAINLY: a. tying up loose ends b. awesome crew chemistry c. hints towards newfound crew abilities d. heating up before the big fight e. some really nice comedic relief
And it was the best chapter that we've had, in my opinion, since chapters 598-602. It's just a very good general One Piece chapter.

has he EVER fought for the people? no, he has only ever fought for one person if a reason at all. In East Blue it was always for the new crewmate. In Arabasta it was because of Vivi, in Skypiea it was for the gold, in water 7 Robin, then Ace and now for his crew
he has never wanted a towns appreciation. hell think back to buggy arc, he loved running away as villian. in water 7 he never asked for forgiveness of the people, in arabasta he was still fugitive hiding in palace. ect. he has never wanted the love of the people. he does what he wants (FREEDOM) helps who he wants (FREEDOM) and takes what he wants (FREEDOM).
