Remember, Garp trained Coby and Garp seems to dislike Akainu after what he did to Ace so my best guess is that Coby will also tend to dislike Akainu. Remember he tried to kill him? ;O + those 2 are polar opposites. Akainu wanted to kill all pirates and Coby wanted them freed. I see an Akainu vs. Coby fight though, say, once he becomes fleet admiral or whatever other high rank he attains.

Just realized Hody's heckling of the Straw Hats in the chapter ("Just ten scrawny, weak little pirates! What can they possibly do?!") is basically exactly what Arlong said when Luffy arrived at Arlong Park ("Just four people from an inferior species! What can you possibly do?!"). Nothing groundbreaking but an interesting little parallel that may or may not have been intentional.
That is a good catch. He is counting Jinbei among 10 scrawny pirates that in context he was calling weak because they are human? Doesn't make much sense.

What would that be? The line actually seems like a gaff from Oda since Hodi mentions the very same chapter(or was it the previous one) that he should have realized Jinbe wouldn't be captured so easily so he does acknowledge Jinbe's strength. Who else could the 10th scrawny human be? Actually weird he would count Chopper in that 10 so that makes it seems even more like a gaff.

I think he's just confident in his numbers and the ES. There's no way 10 of anyone can match up to 100,000 doped up lunatics, he must figure. I don't think he was mocking them with that line by saying that they were human, but rather simply by focusing on their numbers.

Given how luffy has thrashed every villian hes come across its hard to imagine hody as the real big bad guy. Im thinking what could happen is a two tier villian battle like first the NFP. and then some other force takes over like the yonkou or the wg, similiar to Water Seven

Hody should know by now that he's in a tough spot. He felt Luffy's kick, and he saw him wipe out 50% of his army without even blinking. And that was just Luffy. Either he knows he's going to need something extra or he's going to put on the blinders and keep going forward with his plans.

Finally finished re-reading all the chapters from 1 - 513 and I just read the two newest chapters (wish it was 3) and it seems that NAmi has a cool new trick to turn her self into Mrs.Fantastic with cool tempo. And despite the people that all of them excluding the monster trio(and robin) were with no one was surprised by Luffy's Haoushouko Haki and that gave me a little surprise. That was a nice little way to show off how strong Luffy's haki is Oda ty ;). Though I did want to see most of the crew fight. This chapter filled my head with so many questions… including the one about what sunny's new weapon could possibly be and we all know it has more than 2 weapons now according to Franky

I'm waiting Zoro to shine in this next chapter. Most of all people in Strawhats, including Jinbe, he is the most suitable for AOE kills.
Imagine one Mihawk-like slash slashing the opponents who stands in it's way.
And i hope Sunny's new weapon won't get much screen time. I love this kind of stuff and all but in the end crewmembers matters and will fight. -

Well I haven't seen any example for a ranged slash cutting a steel. But anyway Zoro, the way he is now should be able to send slashes that cut people in half and continues to it's way.
