Also hoping for a female model for the villager. Heck, I would love it if you could customize the appearance as well.
Super Smash Bros

-
I really dont hope that there will be console exclusive characters.
-
So yeah the Villager kicks all kinds of ass.
-
Ok, she looks fun, but come on, we got 3 generic characters now (Counting on Pokemon Trainer's returning), I really hope that the Miis don't get in.
-
It ought to be a really simple costume swap, just like Wario's alt original costume; adding a skirt shouldn't be difficult. They could even give each Villager costume it's own face and hairstyle.
-

No reason she can't be an alternate skin, they practically have the exact same character model
-
VIllager looks awesome. I love how he can just pick up projectile attacks and send them back whenever he wants
-
I like how his face looks completely smug after shooting back a stolen attack. He even looks like he's doing Hulk Hogan's taunt, with his hand up to his ear like that…
-
Loving Bowsers overhaul! As one of my mains I look forward to his upright posture!
-
Wii Fit Trainer? Gentlemen, we have our new R.O.B.
I'm pumped on Megaman. Assuming he's good (which variable characters with projectiles tend to be), then I'm going to be playing a lot of him.
The Villager's moveset actually seems pretty interesting to me. I like that "pick up" attack. It's an interesting variation on reflecting/absorbing specials and I love anything that lets me fake others out.
I'm still holding out fleeting hope for Isaac from Golden Sun (or something from Golden Sun other than a lame, though admittedly powerful, assist trophy and one song on a stage I never play). I'll say the same for Bomberman, not that he's been in anything relevant for almost a decade. More thoughts as things develop.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! This is just- I mean it's- It's the-
So…. cool.... Megaman..... MEGAMAN!!
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY NINTENDO!!! NOW!!
Now... now that the fangirling is out of the way... achem.... If Sakurai is gonna be on the Miiverse community... everyone here with Wii Us need to get on there and spam at him "LET US TURN OFF TRIPPING!"
-
Any ideas when this game is coming out?
-
Tomorrow. Forever.
-
-
Couldn't stop laughing at Wii Fit Trainer. But honestly it's a brilliant idea. Just so random yet works.
So how do you ringout on that Wii Fit Level tho?
-
It'll probably work like the Game & Watch level on Brawl…
-
The best part about Villager is his face
That fucking smug face that says "I'm from a slice-of-life game and _whooping your ass_."
-
-
Would you say that she doesn't… fit in?
Har har… I like you man.
Right now I'm trying to decide what caused me to facedesk more, the actual character reveal or the people saying "but she's hot so I dun care lolol."
-
Everything I'm reading about this game is great. Me and a ton of people like Animal Crossing, and I played Mega Man a bunch in the past. So it's naturally awesome that they're in.
I also play a ton of Wii Fit, so maybe that's softened the blow for me? This is a terrible idea for a character, and yet something about seeing the Wii Fit Trainer in action is just too funny. I thought I knew what "so bad its good meant before now," but maybe this is really it. I can't stop smiling.

Villager moves in
Wii Fit Trainer Weighs in
I don't know if this trend is going to be amazing or painful.
-
Nintendog takes a bite out of the competition.
I'm calling it now.
-
The Wii Fit Trainer is so absurd as an idea it's great. I think I will main her. :ninja:

No. NO. If you predict this correctly, my ghost will haunt the crap out of you. In this scenario, I have died of retardation poisoning and dog allergies which I don't yet have as a result of the announcement. Also ghosts exist and are allowed to haunt things like people (namely you).

Captain Falcon races to get in!
Diddy Kong swings in!
Sonic stumbles from another mediocre game in!

Olimar Pikm-in!

Dixie Kong actually seems like a strong possibility now, given the fact she's on the next Donkey Kong Country.

OMG i could not stop laughing at the wii fit trainer. I think this means we could literally have anyone couldn't we? I find gerudo valley really obscure as well but whatever. And a wii fit stage is alright i guess. So he confirms that both version will have the same amount of characters but different levels. I wonder if it will be the same characters or not. Or what else is different. Maybe we will get assisst trophies that reflect the handheld and console sides as well. I can't help but wonder if that means the pokemon stage on console will be pokemon colloseum themed. Wouldn't mind
EDIT: i noticed again on the official website that only wii u screenshots appear for wii fit trainer just like villager. While village coudl have been on both i do see wii fit trainer being exclusive. Personally i don't mind exclusives as long as i can transfer them if i connect the two versions. So like exclusive unless you have both (as i probably will)

MEGA. FING. MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
Man, I am SO happy with everything Nintendo announced today at E3, but this takes the cake by a FREAKING LANDSLIDE!!!!!!!!!!
Next year can't come soon enough. Just from the screens and footage Super Smash Bros. is truly back and better than ever. I love the new logo too, and both the Animal Crossing Villager & Wii Fit Trainer look to be VERY fun new additions to the roster.
Hopefully we get more announcements while E3 is ongoing…(Please, Ghirahim or Sonic. PLEASE!)
EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot; HIT THE MUSIC.

This what fighting Villager will be like

@Cyan:
This what fighting Villager will be like
"Now I've got your power."
'Pharaohman decks Megaman in the face'
I lost it. LOL Truth be told I haven't seen that clip in a while; Can't stop laughing at it.
-
I hope they do those little cutscenes for all of the characters they announce.
Tharja, while stalking you realises you like Nintendo games. So decides to make you pay attention to her by fighting in the new Smash game.
-
Awww yeeeeeaaaaahhh megaman! The villager looks really fun to play as. And mannequin woman is quite the surprise. And i love how it had to be mentioned that bowser has been improved. And look, he actually runs now instead of doing whatever the heck he was doing in melee and brawl. Also, please nintendo for the love of god dont separate characters to different consoles. He said both had the same amount of characters but not the exact same characters which kinda worries me.
-

He didn't say that.

Wii Fit Trainer is going to rule

If Snake returns I would love their Codec conversation to end with them getting a F-support rating.
-
Another reason to get a 3DS, good thing its planned for 2014. I'm gonna need a few hundred hours on Pokemon
-
MEGAMAN in SSB!!!? O_O
I think I might get a Wii U just for this game (and Bayonetta 2 as well)! :D
-
I can't stop fangirling over this!! This game is going to be amazing!
-
Such a great reveal, megaman looks freaking awesome.
-
As much as I hate to spoil the game by looking eveyr day for new updates. I NEED to see what cast is returning.
Quite a few of my favorites are not listed yet. Where is Zelda, she is my number 1. Don't know what I'd do without her. I love her magic attack
-
It's awesome to have Megaman in the new Super Smash Bros :D
I can't wait for more characters -
Mega Man vs. Mario.
aka random guy using Mario versus Sakurai using Mega Man
http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/06/11/super-smash-bros-megaman-offscreen-gameplay-e3-2013
-
i can't strees how good link looks in this game. Did sakurai say the website would be updated 5 days a week or that he was just posting pictures on miiverse 5 days a week
-
Good match, but man was that commentator annoying. Don't sweat it, guy, you almost had him; no shame in losing to the guy who made the game, especially since he shook your hand afterward.
It's probably a good thing that the Best Buy events won't have the Smash demo, because if they did, they'd probably get packed. Hopefully there won't be too many people at mine, tomorrow…
-
gameplay is worrying me slightly. that knockback looks REDONKULOUS. they get sent waaaay to far at very low %. from that video alone, it looks more like taking turns slapping eachother across the stage, rather than any ability to combo or set up positioning or anything.
but maybe that's just because they both seemed to be playing like crap. and also it's obviously an early build of the game.
looks faster than brawl, in terms of movement in the air, though.
-
If things work any way like they did with Brawl, the community will come out with a balance patch eventually that will make the original gameplay irrelevant. That's what I'm hoping, anyways, since Brawl's gameplay might as well have been worthless until Balanced Brawl was developed.

I'm not too worried about knockback since
- It's the point of Smash to push opponents away more than it is to combo
- Mega Man seems like the type of character who NEEDS to send people away. I don't think you can combo much with standard a being a weak projectile.
- Knockback ratio has been a customizable thing for a while now, so if you feel you send each other flying too soon, I imagine you can adjust it so that's not the case.
I also loved the speed and the fluidity of the gameplay.
As for Mega Man, he seems like a really good character for free for alls but very difficult to master in one-on-one. I can see characters like Marth or Sheik putting a lot of pressure, at which point you can't do much except leaf shield and push them away with aerials. It also doesn't help that the crash bomb is such a free for all attack … it could be distracting in competitive, but never enough to really cause damage. Not to mention the risk of it getting stuck back on you. -

or how megaman got KOd straight off the side of the screen at sub 100%
maybe the blue bomber is just lightweight as heck?
-
The slide at 39% just seems to be one of those moves that position the character above you. It's not knockback because other hits from mario don't have such a strong effect.
From your examples it just seems to me to be certain moves more than the game as a whole. And frankly, given Namco Bandai's involvement, I'm having faith in the game having more balance. Mario has always been a lower tier since the original, I wouldn't be surprised if they give more of a punch to his moves to compensate for reach.
