Am i the only one who failed to realize that there would be a break this week?
baffling…..
it was kind of announced late…I didn't know myself, until last night.

Oh well, the break will make the scene where Decken meets Luffy all the better.
Well, since we are on break this week, im going to post a guess.
im guessing that the destruction of fishman island will be with an ancient weapon and by the hand of Caribou the numa numa guy
Aww… that's too harsh, I was just joking with you. Sorry, If I offended you.
You said that and then STILL didn't answer about where your avatar is from. How much of a fucking troll can one person be? Because you're either that much of a troll or that much of an imbecile.

He made his avatar.

Provocation unsuccessful. Try again.

Do you even know what a troll is?
This isn't All Is Brawl - we don't call people trolls just because.
Where is Jinbei's crew… once again the Sunny pirates were mentioned but once again we saw him all alone...
Well, i was kinda hoping Den to be one of Jinbei's crew, but giving his last couple yeras, it wouldn't really make sense i guess
Nowadays "troll" seems to mean "person on the internet I don't like."
Nowadays "troll" seems to mean "person on the internet I don't like."
Exactly, and it is really fucking annoying.
I still wonder if/how Luffy will destroy Fishman Island.
futures are always interpretted wrongly
she saw fishman island destroyed and Luffy standing there.
in order to accomplish this all that needs to happen is the bad guys destroy fishman island and luffy beats them up. bam you have fishman island destroyed and luffy only one standing.
seeing only the ending it looks liek luffy destroyed fishman island
Aww… that's too harsh, I was just joking with you. Sorry, If I offended you.
i just thought you were really stupid, haha. no need to apologize
All of the recent conversations are great stuff! Keep it comin'!
Oh, care to explain why?
Probably because you said "It's Hodi from One Piece" even though you can assume that he already knows about that since this is a One Piece forum.

I wouldn't be too sure that everyone knows that :ninja:
Well, he was asking for where you got the picture not who's the character that is in the picture.
Do you even know what a troll is?

TBH do you really expect much more from a guy who quotes himself in his own sig in a subtle(poor subtlety even) yet oh so obvious attempt to convince other forum goers of his intellectual superiority?
Seeing how there was no new chapter this week and everyone is talking bout nonsense as of the moment, I'll throw a question out there relating to the story. People have started to jump on the Hodi for new nakama wagon for some reason, maybe I'm not see something in him that you guys are spotting. maybe its the way he orders his men with that sinister smile maybe. Honestly Hodi looks boring compared to VDD or Hyozo. now I don't believe we'll see a new crew member this arc but if there was one to join the easiest would have to be Jinbe. but here my question how would you feel if Hyozo became a possible candidate. yes I know he's yet another swordsman, but his design compared to Hodi and VDD much more interesting.

I dont think its very likely, seeing as he is very focused about getting payed for his actions. The strawhats (especially Nami) would not agree with his terms

I understand that and thats probably his major fault on his chances but, the fact that people believe Hodi can/will change, why cant Hyozo change after his battle.

I agree his design is pretty interesting but i dont think he is a good fit either, not that im opposed to the idea of him joining. Him and Den are the only new character designs that i really like
We really haven't seen much from Den granted he was just showed but I think his propose in the story was that of two things to give back info on the fishmen and mermen species, and to coat the ship. His interaction with Franky was good, I think for Oda to drive home that relationship he needs to show Franky take on a role of a student again. Here me out before out bash, Franky learned from in his eyes the greatest shipwright of the grandline. But what if Den progressed further then Tom, and was willing to show Franky what a real New World Ship should look and act like.
WHos Hodi?
See what i did thar :trollface
Really though if renegade soul hasn't told us where he got the avy from and it's been talked about for like a day and a half than rofl.
ROFL'S ALL AROUND!

Wrong thread! And no the druken poisonous octopus is not interesting, i know it sounds awesome but he's one of the most boring charcters in this arc. To think hodi is boring is upsurd he's a one piece addition of bobby seale. Right now he's the last Sebastian of rebellion on fishman island. If we're going to see anymore from fishman ever again in this series it's going to be him. Other than that I don't see fishman being important ever again.
to name some charcters more interesting than the wino.
fukaboshi and his brothers
the eel
vdd
jenbe
hachi
the seahorse
den
and the mini mermaids

I thought it was some sort of running-joke around here, that whenever a new character pops out- be it a villain, be it a secondary character or whoever-, there will be always people, who will begin to argue, that THiS one will most probably be the next crew member.
The fact, that there is reasonable chance, that the SHs would include a fishman/merman at some point in the story, doesnt help either.
Where is Hordy's smile sinister? look at Zoro… he is far more evil looking :wassat:
I'm not saying for serious, that he has chances for a nakama spot BUT we know, that he will become intersting
Hyouzou is great and all but he is just an assasin, who will be fought by Zoro probably. Nothing more.
Hordy is a nice guy

But change enough to go from mercenary opponent to nakama? And that strawhats would accept that?

And Hyouzo is nothing mroe than a fishmen Zoro. Even if he is cool
Wasn't Robin a bit like a hired assassin though?
Do Robin have a sword, balls between her legs, is a heavy drinker and a layed down character like Zoro?
And why should Hyouzou change? if the good gyus will pay more for him, he will lend them a hand
My point was the whole hired assassin deal. It just kind of reminded me of Robin, in a way.
Not that I support Hyouzou joining, of course.

When I first heard about Den, I thought he was going to be a racist fishman who blamed Franky for Tom's Death. However, it turned out that he was a merman and as such he seems to bear no grudge at all. I still think he'll play a large role in the arc, though.
As for him teaching Franky much about ships, I have a hard time imagining it. I do think he could teach Franky a lot about the bubble technology, though.
Really though if renegade soul hasn't told us where he got the avy from and it's been talked about for like a day and a half than rofl.
Really? Because I've seen him refer to it as his own coloring on more than one occasion, and it's off topic here anyway. You could try the color prediction thread, or if you look at his post history you'll find other examples: http://forums.arlongpark.net/showpost.php?p=2153254&postcount=61

It's too early to say he doesn't bear a grudge.
Oh, care to explain why?
Mostly because I didn't detect your sarcasm (internet) and therefore thought you were giving that as a serious answer. after I realized it wasnt i thought it was kind of funny. but yes I would assume that most people in the ch616 thread have been introduced to Hodi already.
It's too early to say he doesn't bear a grudge.
I suppose it is, but he's still a merman instead of a fishman. I'd say the chances decreased dramatically with that reveal, since fishmen are the ones who are biologically prone to violence and aggression, while mermen/mermaids are the ones who are friendly.
There was also that comment about Tom having picked the right student.
I never really supported Hyuozo(didn't know how to spell his name earlier) I just said he's the most interesting new character. I would like to see Oda develop his character more when the time comes. As for just being a drunken swordsman is fine I love Zoro's character, and as some of you put it he's a fishmen Zoro. That being said I love the arc like the pace of it, unlike some of you who think there's no way Hodi and VDD can be main villains I do. Oda will correct him self with that "mistake" he made with Hodi eating the ship "showing his strength" to early. Even though it was perfectly fine

Hordy is a nice guy or why Jinbei doesn't kick his ass? And why was he a member of the royal army… Hell he isn't that old and relative young compared to Arlong and the others, like it was stated this chapter.
We will see, why his hate suddenly increased so much that he even want to overthrow Neptune, even if he was a member of his army.
Hordy is a nice guy
He's not a fishman Zoro, he's a merman Zoro.
There is no way that Hodi is a main villain. He simply represents the fishmen youth who grew up with nobody to look up to, and Oda didn't go through a shit-ton of depth into fishmen oppression just to give us an Arlong clone.
Someone who is able to see the light.

To me, Hodi and Decken are written to be quickly hated characters that Oda can use to show off the crew with while he sets up the real arc. In order for them remain as viable villains, they'd have to win the upcoming fights against Luffy and Zoro, and I have a hard time even imagining Oda letting them lose only 20 chapters after the timeskip.
