James Cameron, special effects do NOT make a movie great. Sure, those were sweet effects (especially since blue is my favorite color), but did you really have to wait 15 years for special effects technology to improve and not even bother make the story at least interesting?

WAY overhyped for me. It was just a testosterone-filled movie with a bunch of guys with washboard abs, and I left the story thinking, "…that's it?"
Twilight series
I have yet to honestly hear anything good about them besides "[insert name] is hot!". The story is dull and it's just a souped up romance story. Plus, terrible, terrible acting. Bella's character is perhaps the most bland I've seen for years.

The Dark knight because Batman is not here.
I agree with this. We didn't get much on Batman's character as I'd have hoped, yet we got plenty about the villain.
Speaking of, another reason I think it's overrated is the fact that most people I know hype The Joker way too much. Sure, it was a great character, but it wasn't a god, and certainly wasn't the greatest acting of all time.
I remember the September after the movie's release and I was reading an issue of GameInformer that had information on the video game Arkham Asylum, and one of my friends was interested in what the Joker's design was and they were disappointed and remarked, "Oh, it's the comic version… they should've gone with Heath Ledger's Joker".
I couldn't have disagreed with him more. That design is good for Nolan's Batverse, but I hardly see it work in any Batman comic unless it was really, really dark.
But don't get me wrong. The movie is great on it's own, but calling it a Batman movie can be a bit of a stretch.
