Between so much pages and randomness i can´t even find the reason why Oda is taking a 4 weeks break. Is he on vacation? Ill? Researching to work on the second part?

THen read my post wich is two posts above yours… its not really Oda its the magazine that does this on Timeskips so people really get the feeling of wating and kinda actualy feel the timeskip or wtv, they did it before with other series timeskips, Oda is working right now.

Well if he is already back to writing it may well mean he will get himself a little ahead - even 1-2 chapters ahead means if he wants to go and research something he can. Nothing wrong with being ahead - unless those comics get released as spoilers which would be unfortunate.

Oda is usually 3 chapters ahead. If that stayed true till 597, now he will be 5-6.

I hope Oda doesn't get tired of One Piece.
Working no stop like this is due to cause stress, I don't know how the mangakas manage it without starting to hate his own creations.
Maybe he'll go for something completely different after the timeskip, like Toriyama did with Dragon Ball.

I believe Oda has mentioned in interviews that one reason he set the OP world up like he did – various islands with various cultures and histories -- was to prevent this from happening. Whenever a new arc begins, he's always able to change the story's environment, genre, mood, etc. which helps keep things fresh for him. Plus, he's already shown us some crazy stuff going down in the New World, so I think he's got plenty of ideas and interest left in him. I do think it's a shame that a lot of other shonen mangaka don't really try to branch out and worldbuild in the same way, though.

Manga titles usually don't change at any point, do they? (Dragon Ball manga was always Dragon Ball; Naruto manga is still Naruto.) I wouldn't be surprised if the anime was renamed, though. (One Piece: New World is the best suggestion I've heard for that.)

Oda doesn't seem like he'll get tired of One Piece anytime soon. Just based on stuff like the SBS shows he loves to have fun with the fans, and while he works his ass off, he does it so we can enjoy an amazing series.
And well, the thing with One Piece changing like Dragon Ball is different. Dragon Ball was supposed to be some quick, comedy series, but he started leaning toward an action series. We get the Tenkaichi Budokai, and it really starts to get off into the fighting, by the time Piccolo Daimao comes along, it's pretty much just an action series, and after the big time skip(from anime dragon ball to DBZ) it's a full action series with aliens.
One Piece is…well One piece. It wasn't meant to be some small comedy series that turned into a deep, meaningfull action/comedy series, it was this from the beginning.

There is enough manga out there to keep me busy, also football starts again next week, so its not that bad, and it will allow me to re-read Naruto and One Piece cuz for Naruto I'm not so much interested in where it went wrong but how its still doing it right and in One Piece, I just love the story, going through it a fifth time will be fun

I'm still on the fence about whether to buy JUMP for the next few weeks. I like to think that if sales are really low they'll try really hard to get some better quality series in the magazine, but I'm sure they do their best on that front anyway, so I'd just be lying to myself. (But still…MinerXMiner is the best you can do, JUMP? Really!?) And I can't make fun of Bleach in good conscience unless I buy it.
At any rate, those sketches look pretty awesome.

We can gather from his world map that at that time he ALREADY had the location of Mariejoa, Reverse Mountain (and its mechanics) as well as an incredibly detailed description of the route!
