After reading that last night my whole perception of the world has changed primarily the fact that a series looking like a comming of age story can turn into horrible horrible movie theatre porno.

I bought the first 6 a year ago but then stuck to the anime, is it worth buying the volumes or just saving my moneys?

I just went onto the japanese shonen jump website and saw that in volume 40 (6/9/10) they are having a special "Special project to reopen ONE PIECE" called "One Piece Grand Countdown Start !!"
I probably would have bought them if they came out at the same time as the US but now that I own all the manga volumes there doesn't seem to be a point. I may get some of the volumes like Arlong, Little Garden, Drum, Jaya but I have already spent so much on One Piece thanks to the speed up.
Hopefully Usopp will burn off his fat and grow strong enough to use a real 5-ton hammer.
Personally I would be happier if there was less Luffy walking towards out of focus Ace. Those scenes just made is draaaaaaaaaag and I would find myself switching tabs as soon as I heard the song go into it's chorus to see the actural exciting parts. It would have had a much more dynamic ending if the slow walking Luffy began to run and the Ace that was waiting for him was shown on the execution platform.
