I think a cool sequence to have would be a bit of Luffy running through all the dust and debris of battle and pass by each member of the escape team as they're all fighting as well. Preferrably at the end of the song.
Some other things that they should have…?
! Well, they should show all of the Pacifistas, and they have to do something with Ace, considering that it's his last hurrah (maybe showing stuff from his fight with Aokiji and Akainu?). They could also show a shot of Luffy and Ace as kids, with maybe showing Sabo facing away from the camera. Law and his crew on their submarine would be nice, maybe show Kid's crew too to hide the spoiler, and having Whitebeard throwing out one of his seismic waves is a must.
I think for this one opening they should just completely cut the rest of the Straw Hats out entirely and just focus on Marineford.

Throw in silhouettes of the Blackbeard crew, a the shadow of Sengoku's transformation, and Whitebeard standing triumphantly on the deck of the Moby Dick.
That'd be sweet.

I think it should show a small clip of each of the other strawhats where they are now. I know I'd start out each episode with a laugh if I saw okama Sanji (or Sanji running from okamas) each time

SO… Share the World was 31 episodes, 395-425. So far Kaze wo Sagashite has been 27, 426-452. Obviously One Piece's never been too consistent with changing OPs, so it's hard to tell. I mean, this OP has Luffy flying into Marineford so it could end up going all the way to that point, though that'd be a while I think...
Probably it'll go to the end of the second crew filler arc.

I'd be shocked if we got a new opening before the "Luffy falling from the sky" scene appears. Besides the obvious reason, waiting until we're a little into the arc also affords them more possibilities of what to put into the opening.

What about during the Enies Lobby arc when Crazy Rainbow replaced Brand New World even though most of the scenes in Brand New World hadn't even happened

Brand New World was for the old timeslot and a 1:50 long opening. When they put One Piece to the morning timeslot they wanted the Opening to be 2:30 long and no more endings. That's why they changed it so soon. Unless One Piece gets another timeslot with Openings and Endings, this will not happen again. Though I have to admit it would be all around awsome.

why does everyone dislike this opening so much? Sure the beginning isn't the best, but I like the end of it alot and the song.

Most people don't like it because the song doesn't really fit the Impel Down atmosphere..
And I personally don't hate the Opening but the beginning half is very out of place with the story and there have been much better openings before, plus its been on for a while so I am getting sick of it…

I've never minded the current opening. It's a light counterpoint to the darkness of Impel Down which I think was Toei's intention. Honestly though, after the first few times I always skip the openings and the piece with the wanted poster to get right to the episode.

Hey! The opening song 12 for Impel Down spoiled me when seeing IVA, Jimbei, Croc, and other ally of Luffy in the video Falling… while Luffy only have Buggy on his side... and still Iva's identity must be unknown...
And the Power of Magellan spoiled me when I see him in the song with Jelly-Disgusting Dragons is in his back... (but I don't know what it is)I just started reading manga this summer.
And sorry for my English I'm not good at it.
It true that they could be spoiled by the opening. (still I want to see SENGOKU goddammit face) Hehehe...

Hey, captain Ugly, this is the anime section, it would be nice if you would remove that major spoiler.
Anyway, before I was a manga reader I was never really spoiled of anything. Designs of characters never spoiled anything, IMO. And when I was first watching One Piece I already knew that Robin was going to join so that opening didn't spoil me either.

Shanks wasn't in Share the World or Kaze wo Sagashite, though.
I actually like how the previous two openings have cut out most of the clutter that clogged up the older ones, and it's been a noticeable improvement. The footage and animation for the last two have been pretty good, so I hope Toei can keep the ball rolling on that front.

In "crazy crazy rainbow star" Opening song Ace shanks appeared because the closing of this arc show Ace will be executed… and Red Haired Shank talked to Whitebeard... But It really doesn't spoiled me at all... because I just think that they keep showing those guy because of they are the "do not forget us" Characters...
