If Sanji's poster and his current fate are connected, then he had to have been taken alive. Otherwise the marines wouldn't know anything to even update his poster.

Rebecca can be useful in the fight without being get hands bloody. She could, for example, fight to chain Diamente up with Law's seastone chains that are lying around. It would be infinitively better than her sitting around crying all the time, even if Oda is dedicated to this "keep Rebecca's hands clean" theme.

Saying that, i think her dad (the toy soldier) was the royal prince of the Riku Kingdom, but was changed by the Doflamgino pirates. Ricky was the former mad king, Kyros. Just a theory :)
Or Ricky was her other grandfather (Scarlet's dad).
