@Sammsy:
Wow I love how your all knowledgable. did you have a nice sit down dinner to discuss with hancock and jimbei and they told you what their dreams were and weren't.
No… I had a nice sit down with my wet dream idol: Perona.
Where did you get this information?
Again where did you get this information?
And if she had a "real Dream, then she wouldn't have done so" Ok how about you name a single one of the strawhats that was attmepting to complete their dream before LUffy arrived besides Zoro. None of them, they had all just given up on pursuing it and just did that "dreamed of it" Even Robin had given up by the time she joined.
I'm not sure where you getting your cold hard facts, but please indulge me. And correct me if i'm wrong but isn't Perona's dream to live with cute ZOMBIES in a dark damp castle and have servants? Induldge me of how the strawhats can accomplish that dream
Fine… Jinbei...
What his stupid fishy self was constantly stressing out about was Fishman Island. We know that he cares for it, we don't know why... We don't have that information provided.
So, if you assume this much and then take a leap forward: Jinbei has a "dream" that was stalled when he got all obsessed with protection of FI.
Heck, we can even say his dream involves protecting FI, or something concerning that... From a personal level, we don't have an ounce of "characterization" about what depth Jinbei holds...
I got this from his boring speeches about how great WB was when he protected island after island... And then conquered FI. Jinbei never says a word why it was so important to him, however, he does speech a helluva lot concerning what actually happened. When we understand why Jinbei cares so much, we can then provide a hypothesis of his dream. He ought to have one, since the manga suggests he cares deeply about FI.
The Hancock stuff:
Obviously, it is false... How difficult is that?
The reason why is simple. In Strong World, Hancock was shown saying, "Only the strong can board the ship since it was the start of the great pirate era... Blah Blah Blah!!"
This implies that she wants to "leave" and holds an aspiration for something involving either Kuja or travel. We are shown an overwhelming amount of nationalism concerning the Kuja tribe throughout the AL arc. Kids do dream of becoming Kuja...
That's the base...
If Hancock's dream is to JUST be a Kuja, or the highest authority in the tribe, then her whole childhood aspiration was to become a Kuja Captain. That would be it...
If it is BEYOND that and Hancock had only wanted to use the Kuja to accomplish it, like a traveling journey sort of thing... Then, Hancock would have easily had the chance after she was marked as a slave and free... It is lead to be told that Hancock's "first" trip she was caught... This implies that after she accomplished she was a Kuja, she had been trapped.
If her dream was beyond just being a Kuja, then she could have easily left and headed forward… Obviously, she returned to the tribe of the Kuja and surfaced to the very top.
This implies that she is either without a dream, since she cares not for anything, or she basically has already accomplished it and grows bored. I personally think that "she" wouldn't have been shown to lack "will" when everything was like that, because it would translate to her having NO dream at all. So, she must have had a connection to the childlike aspirations she showed in Strong World, and that connection provokes a "dream" of some sorts.
Again, they were all going for their dreams...
- Zoro: he should have dreamed of being number one before he fought Kuina and lost, however, since he met an opponent that he couldn't beat, he couldn't move forward. When she died, he took her dream with him and doubled it… Since she wasn't there, he had no other competition, so he moved forward to face anyone else...
- Nami: She wanted to buy her island… She was still traveling and mapping things, she however just wanted to buy her island before making her dream the main objective. So, she's still doing it...
- Usopp: He is playing pirate, obviously, he's trying to become a pirate like his father… He just hadn't been able to leave yet. Luffy offered him courage, and he took the chance for the first time.
- Sanji: since he owed Zeff a lot, he was repaying him… Of course, he still dreamed of heading to All Blue, but it would come after he repaid Zeff...
- Chopper: He was doing his dream before he met them… He just wanted to go and have a ton of fun and become a pirate... When he became a pirate, he would do things that would be fun... Having met Luffy didn't help him, he still aspired to be a doctor like he seeks becoming...
- Robin: she only gave up on life, nothing else… Luffy gave her a reason to live, and look forward to it... Other than that, she had still been looking for her dream.
- Franky: he was stubborn and wanted to pay back his debts. Of course, Luffy was his way to head out… And to perform the dream. Although, his dream existed forever and he was trying to collect the money needed, but always spent it.
- Brook: was stuck.
I mean, they were still doing what they were doing… Before they met Luffy, Luffy only allowed them a small leap, or something. It's not like they didn't start before they met Luffy, it's like they merely continued after they met him.
Lastly, the Perona thing...
You are wrong. Perona's dream is not that. First off, it specifically claims that is her dream country. Which isn't automatically her dream. Second, she couldn't have joined Moria and accomplished it before Hogback was there... She couldn't have had a possible way to make it come true. Therefore, if it happens to be a "dream" of hers, it had nothing to do with why she joined Moria and many people claim it was why she joined him, but the manga argues against that.
Her reason to join is either "fun" or completely unknown... The reason as to why she even joined is what "provides" some incentive for whatever dream she may hold.
Her "dream" isn't known.
Yes..because Moria's apparent "death" means skyrockets Perona chances, even though she hasn't showed up in the plot for god knows how many chapters…
Fine, Hancock can't join since she's forced to wait two weeks. That's in OP time…
1 week to get to AL from MF.
1 week to get to SA from AL...
Amazing... I wonder how many times she won't appear in the "plot" over that stretch...
But seriously, no. His "death" just confirms that he wouldn't have ended up with Perona and since she had quit, never even stressed anything about what she wanted with Moria, and she admitted that the place she wanted to return to was destroyed, plus the lack of information, she couldn't have ended up with Moria unless it was magically forced...
Killing Moria only removes the thought that she was going to return to him. Even though Oda showed no incentive to having her do that in the first place, she is merely making it concrete now. When Moria physically dies, he has cut-off a future plot development for Perona, leaving her with less options.
I have never cared at all about Moria, since he didn't matter unless his fat ass was on the ship or in front of the SH crew when Zoro is there...
It was always about Perona guiding Zoro, and then Perona ended up on SA with him... Then, she would reach her money and belongings, and you ought to know the rest...
That was it.
