How the fuck would Jimbei sink the ship ? it could probably take 30 more persons in there and not sink its a fucking huge ship with 10 guys in there….tks for quoting him Zik(i had him on ignore) so i can keep him on the ignore list what a fucking dumbass, i am here hoping he was jkg.
Jinbei would sink the ship like he tried to sink the Marine Battleship.
Jinbei's a whale– they're rather large in mass.
Please, continue ignoring to the point where you'll one day recall that I was fucking RIGHT!! A big "DING!" will resonate in your shallow head when that happens...
@AdmiralYonkouMt.Bandit:
That's EXACTLY why if a character seems to be too big or too tall anything Franky would need to do would be handled off screen and would NEVER be addressed in the manga. Hence, this argument being incredibly stupid. I'm not suggesting it'll be a problem and it'll be addressed in the manga. I'm saying if anyone would be stupid enough to ask we could all assume any alterations to the ship would be done and it's not necessary to even bring up.
Yes, surely this is a possible situation, but the problem is different here. We're not really in a situation where it doesn't matter how something happens, i.e. the snake tracking Law's Sub, we are in a situation where it matters what happened to the Sunny and ought to be shown, someway.
What I mean by this is a mere question whether or not the fixed size of the ship is to be used a constant in order to trim the number of potential crew members, as given in fact by the WRITER's judgment.
I have great faith in Oda that he is WELL aware of the dimension gap between the two, and will address it if he dares to let a character with those problematic features join.
If we can agree on this concept, then the question would be whether Oda wants to send a message, or that Oda will NOT let a character join which will tarnish Franky's dream, regardless.
So there, you're wrong.
You wish I was… Sadly, I'm totally genius with this.
This doesn't have to do with just Jinbei. Any character whatever their shape and size, save giants(cuz they're all fodder) do NOT have what you're talking about as a valid argument against them. If you think Oda designed Jinbei that way to indicate he wasn't going to join from the start it's actually more irrelevant than what others think Oda is thinking. Your insanity has been noted throughout this topic and you've been wrong countless times when it comes to what you think Oda is going to do or is thinking in general. If what you say in regards to Oda means anything we'd have to assume the opposite is more likely to happen.
Countless times? Name a few please, I hope you have a good amount of examples at your disposal.
But yes, you are somewhat in the right area of thought– SINCE Oda has given fancy adjectives to support Sunny and showed some moments of its properties, as well as proportions, Oda ought to have had it in his mind that it would be best to eliminate having to address this topic later by actually fixing Jinbei's size to fit the size of the ship.
Unless he wants to forcefully address this topic. As a writer, I don't believe that he would wish to dangle with this topic at all, and I don't expect him to even attempt to do it. To put it plainly, it just wastes space.
Franky's a good enough shipwright to change the ship for ppl of all shapes and sizes, accommodate them in all ways possible and have the ship perform just as good, possibly better with the right excuse.
It was never about "fixing" the issue, it is more about the process to even fix it. I know Oda can fix it since I can imagine several possibilities, I don't think he will due to the order that he introduced Jinbei and the Sunny. Otherwise, I would be like since "Jinbei" existed before the ship did, then it could be different… But, since the ship came first, Oda should have been cautious of how much he greatly alters his character design; which we can now fully see...
I think that Oda has already expressed that he never had Jinbei in the running, nor any character over-sized.
Unlike everybody else I don't get angered much at you seriously thinking Perona has a chance to join or that you've managed to include her in the constant rotation of shitty "candidates" for next crew member. The absurdity of it all amuses me and I find it interesting to observe other ppl reacting to it time to time.
I think that she's the MOST LIKELY to join– and that she can join. To be realistic, it is far too early to make a claim she'll join. It's something that you'd feel is pretty much impossible to safely claim, regardless of what you can bend to fit it or what you can use as fact. Oda's given several choices to deal with, therefore, we cannot be sure it is her.
But, comparing her to all the revealed characters, she just seems the most likely regardless of who you wish to compare to.
Only thing I dislike about Perona is her laugh but I don't watch the anime much anyway.
Same, but I am looking forward to watching the anime episode with her in it. Got greatly disappointed with Franky/ Nami one…
He's saying that the ship would sink due to Franky making alterations to it to accommodate Jinbei. He's acting like anyone of Jinbei's size on the ship would force Franky to extend the keel, reconstruct the entire hull, or add on a duplex on the starboard side. I figure he's just talking out of his ass and knows little to nothing about architecture or construction or ship building.
Yes, it is over the top, but the issue isn't about architecture or construction, it was more so about diligence of the writer.
However, you can reference ship building to find out that this is an issue that exists, and according to the physics, you cannot just add a room to it like you are able to add to a house, due to the constants present.
If it wasn't on water, then I would agree– but the constants make it difficult to change freely.
My condolences that you had to read one of his posts again. Don't be so presumptions about AGOG's posts tho. I thought he was joking and purposely trolling members when he said Ace would be brought back to life a chap or two after he died. I come to realize he was serious, further added to the "theory" in a way that quickly proved he was wrong and after blaming Oda for it not happening and claiming to be "disappointed" in him.
That wasn't on this site, and I'm not yet proven wrong… We COULD still see Ace's dumbass walking around in the future-- we didn't see his body boiled in lava, as a funeral...
@Robo:
I don't know if you noticed, but he also said that after her Perona had the best chance, so I wouldn't get my hopes up for any intelligent reasoning.
I don't think Bon-Chan will join either, but the voice actor things is about as relevant as the Rainbow Mist Arc.
What does this even mean? But no, Coby has no shot at all at joining.
I'm curious why so much Perona hate…
@Cyan:
Hey I think no one cares what you think.
I second this.
@Mugiwara:
It's probably because of 2 reasons. 1, Moria might be dead. 2, She's currently with Zoro.
Not proof, but definitely reasons for new crewmate theories.
Interesting…
But you forgot the following:
- Perona's sexy.
- Perona's sexy.
- Perona's sexy…
Yup. Don't forget those since Hancock fans say it works for them– I don't see why it doesn't work for Perona... :wub:
