It's all a popularity contest. And gaining popularity here is a combination of rule of cool and knowing when to shut up.
Myself I know how to do both, while Darkstorm for instance only knows how to be witty and kewl, which is why he's a measly purple and i'm a masculine brown.

he's right this thread is a popularity contest but people get out of hand in this thread. Personally i am in favor of jinbei joining (him or spamdam's shoes) he can bring more balanence to the crew by adding another top-tier to compete with zoro and sanji. Job wise he can be the helmsman (as he did it after escaping impel down on the marine ship) and he can tell more about his backstory if he goes to fishman island with the strawhats. But i am cool with anyone joining except for perona.
