No proof yet, just general assumption given Oda's track record. Especially given now that his sacrifice was basically in vain. Until we see Bon again, you can assume he's dead if you want, but I have no doubt whatsoever that when this arc is well and truly over we'll get a panel of him dancing in Impel Down, or having escaped with the ruckus Blackbeard causes or something.
The camera totally cut away before Magellan actually did anything to him, and in the very next chapter Luffy gave the audience the reassurance "I'm sure that he's okay!" So for all the emotional pull the scene had, its almost certainley a fake out, again. Great scene, great Bon moment once again, but almost certainly a fake out. ANd thats unfortunatley the sense of danger Oda loses when he cheats the suspense as often as he does
Maybe Ace will herald a different tone, or put the danger back into things, its really hard to say at this point until we actually get some follow up. But Oda has proven a point and was clearly saving up for this, so he gets some leeway for a few years, maybe until the end of the series, now that he's proven he can kill if he really sees the need to. (And it wasn't just whitebeard who's been foreshadowed for months.)
However, all that said, we can now call out Kishi for not killing Karin. And Choji and Neji. And actually killing all his good villain characters. (and yet still not finishing off Orochimaru. Guy's been killed like 3 times now.)

I really hope you're right. I think the possibility of Bon-Chan not getting killed due to Blackbeard Shinanigary is quite high. I think it would be cool to see him again, even if it does make some people feel Oda is predictable. Ace's death seems secure in my mind and as you said that will probably give him leeway.

Nah, really, Bon's prolly still alive. I'm guessing he'll get the next coverstory if it's not Rolling Pirates or more SHs or Rayleigh. I was worried about Bon when the chapter first came out, but then as Robby mentioned his sacrifice would have been in vain if he really did die there. Unless Oda really wants things to be tragic and dark and full of popular character deaths, Bon's not gonna be confirmed dead now that Ace has gone on.
Agreed on Oda having leeway on death for a little while at least. Depends on how ridiculous the copouts are. If it's like Bon in ID or Bellamy where there's no sign of them being alive for a long time after it's fine. If it turns into Pell or the Tenryuubito slaves/auction fodder too often though... -

To be fair, it wasn't a fanmade youtube video, but a televised scripted show 9 months in production, so they probably had to track down the rights and pay money to use the song for public broadcast. While pretty much any random japanese song would have fit the scene jus thte same to an amaerican audience, someone on the staff had to specifically go after that song.
I don't know how much Seth knows about Japanese music or culture, and that doesn't mean they did any research, or spent any actual time on the joke, or that Seth thought about it at all after the joke was written, but someone probably did have to spend more than 5 minutes getting the rights to do it. (The script probably just said "insert cheap-to-license japanese pop song here and make sure you have the rights to put it on the dvd as well.")
That said, yes, the entire Family Guy group is very stuck in the 80s for the most part. Anyway. Muzac.
