Roger and Shiki fought each other at sea.
Ah yes. Well I was actually only talking about the Straw Hats' adventure on this one.

I was just happy to see Duval's base destroyed by the Gaon Cannon, as it was the first instance (that I can remember) of a fortification being bombarded by a ship's guns.
But I would like to see Chopper and Sanji having to track down a killer that poisons peoples food. Sure, Luffy might not have a problem dealing with certain poisons, but if a banquet thrown in the Straw Hats' honor was struck by such an assassin, it could cause serious trouble. The knowledge of how the poisoner gained access to the kitchen, as well as the onset time and possible antidotes for the poison would allow for some character development of these two. Sanji's experience as a sous chef in a busy kitchen would let him know what and who to look for, while Chopper would get a chance to whip up a remedy from whatever he has available.
One thing that I really wanted to see was the bounty hunters. Zoro was supposed to be one, and from that I always though we would see more of them, but maybe they are only outside of the GL? And if there are almost no bounty hunters, why have a bounty at all? Do the marines get it as a bonus if they catch the guy?
Well Oda has placed one on the tournament and like Evo said we have only seen BW and the Franky Family who were kinda of a bounty hunter family, we also have Yosaku and Johnny and the bunch of guys on Sabody but we haven't seen a real strong bounty hunter just yet and the NW looks like it might have some strong bounty hunters
Caesar Clown
My username being coincidentally associated with such abysmal use of apostrophe is heart-rending. Please don't do it.
But number 2, I want to see it too.
I'm sorry. In my native language, the use of apostrophes is different.. I tend to forget it sometimes

What makes you hope for strong bounty hunters?

It's supposed to be a thing, a part of that world. But we haven't exactly seen that strong Bounty Hunters yet, and it makes you wonder where the fuck they are.

Jean might be part of a bounty hunter organization from the NW, that will explain his sources of information and how he could take down level 6 prisoner and was aiming for other guys such Crocodile, Shilew and Jimbi when is pretty clear that he cannot handle that type of force, so it led me to believe that he might not work alone when it comes to bounty hunting plus is god damn time for a really strong bounty hunter to appear
He said he took care of ID prisoners and know where are the level 6. It doesn't mean he took down level 6 prisoners.
ā- Update From New Post Merge ---
And since have been weak in grand line I don't see why it would suddenly change. After all if you strong you can become become millionaire in a moment in paradise. Yo go to Jaya from time to time and you're all good. No reason to risk your life in the NW.

thing that i want to see in the manga are
i miss Buggy
Words.
He didn't specify from which level tey were but If he was aiming to capture the complete team and knew who they were it means that he have a good sources of information such as an organization also is that it it will change or it have to change is more about bringing something that is need it also there might e people who like to challenge themself but don't like pirating
I think it'd be cool if they go to an island where its like a modern day city. With streets, skyscrapers and cars. It'd be interesting to see them in that sort of environment.

If there was some random island with modern technology that the rest of the world doesn't have, they would have conquered the world or at the very least the technology wouldn't have stayed on that one island.
It really wouldn't make any sense at all.

Not necessarily. The island Vegapunk was from was said to have very modern technological advancements, and Weatheria also had technology ahead of the normal world. I didn't say they would have modern weapons with nukes and F-22s, just cars and such. The people of the island could be a passive one. I just meant their land to be modern in some ways, not all.
And the reason it stays on that island is because each island is so small and isolated in the One Piece world, or only suited for that kind of island. The Sea Train is an example of this, its only on islands surrounding Water 7. Or perhaps this island would have just gone through some industrial revolution. There are a lot of islands unique to others in the series.
Not necessarily. The island Vegapunk was from was said to have very modern technological advancements,
Yes, as made by Vegapunkā¦which he promptly brought to the world...
My point exactly.
And that wasn't even the island, or civilization, it was this one guy who was just a genius. And now that genius is working for the government.
and Weatheria also had technology ahead of the normal world.
Weatheria wasn't a civilization, it was like some sort of retreat for weather scientists/wizards. None of their technology was as shocking as what you're suggesting either.
I didn't say they would have modern weapons with nukes and F-22s, just cars and such. The people of the island could be a passive one. I just meant their land to be modern in some ways, not all.
I have a hard time believing people who went through industrial revolutions would be passive. Passive is the character of maybe a bunch of farmers.
And even if they were passive than their technology would have long long ago been poached, and we'd see cars everywhere, and steam ships everywhere and what not.
And the reason it stays on that island is because each island is so small and isolated in the One Piece world,
That only makes sense with backwards or ancient types of civilizations. The one more advanced than others would never be able to stay isolated like that, either because outsiders would take their shit and ideas, or because they would use their technology to NOT be isolated.
Even if they're passive why on earth wouldn't they engage in trade and economic stuff.
or only suited for that kind of island. The Sea Train is an example of this, its only on islands surrounding Water 7.
Because RocketMan aside it's the only sea train. And is again, the product really of one genius, and not a casual product of a whole civilization. Water7 otherwise was not some wonderland of things like the Sea Train.
Or perhaps this island would have just gone through some industrial revolution. There are a lot of islands unique to others in the series.
Do you know what happend irl with the first countries to industrialize.
They set out to conquer the world with their huge advantages and fight each-other over the spoils. Even a late-comer to that like Japan did the same thing.
Also part of industrialization is world levels of trade, so isolation? Eh?
I'm not gonna argue with you about this because this is silly. Lol. This is an entirely hypothetical thread, and what I posted about wasn't even a theory, more of a desire so I don't understand why you feel the need to argue against it to such an extent. Tbh I didn't even read your entire post, I saw you break up my quote into lengths and just threw my hands up.
There's no argument to be made here, I'm not gonna fight for something that I know myself to be far fetched. You win?
tl;dr: your post was too long and I didn't read it because i'm too lazy to argue about something so trivial like this
i wanna see how the straw hats destroy a belly factory which is under the world government controll.
It's supposed to be a thing, a part of that world. But we haven't exactly seen that strong Bounty Hunters yet, and it makes you wonder where the fuck they are.
The way I've always seen how bounty hunters work in One Piece is like thus: One of the most famous Spaghetti Western movies was "For A Few Dollars More", where the protagonists of the movie, Clint Eastwood and Lee van Cleef, both are bounty hunters. Each are introduced nabbing a bounty, Lee's was worth $1,000 and Clint's $2,000. Nowadays, that doesn't seem like much, but it certainly was then, the guy who gives the bounty for the $2,000 guy says he earns that in about three years, for example.
Anyways, the main target for both guys is a guy called El Indio who is worth $10,000, and he also has a gang with several members of said gang have bounties of their own. One guy has $4,000, another has $3,000, a couple guys have $2,000, another $1,000 and the nameless extras in the gang probably had a couple hundred to their names. In fact, Clint's character even says once he kills Indio's gang and gets their bounties, he was going to retire and settle down.
So, remembering that in the New World, a pirate with a 100,000,000 bounty is fairly common and 400,000,000 is an elite pirate, I would say bounty hunters in the New World probably usually nab pirates with bounties from like Brownbeard's to like pre-time skip Killer's and if they can bag a 400 and above pirate like Luffy, Kidd, or Law, adding in the bounties of their crew, that's probably enough money to retire.
To sum it up, I think the reason why the "strong" bounty hunters never have shown up or never will is because if they nabbed a seriously big bounty of a strong character, they'd probably then have enough money to probably retire in a pretty comfortable life.
@S.C.:
words
I see the point and it is a good one, however what we mean is that no bounty hunter has ever really gone after the Straw Hats yet. Makes you wonder why, as if there are bounty hunters in that world, they'd definitely want to capture a crew like theirs so they'd get good money like you said.
Out of all the characters I'd love to seeā¦
!
:ninja:
I think at the moment I would like to see Marco the Phoenix show up again in some fashion. Also (this will happen probably) I'd like to see Jimbe show up to aid Luffy and co. against Doflamingo in this current arc.

How is this probable?
Jinbei wouldn't say he has other shit to do and cannot join them yet if he would show up 1 day later like "ohi I'm here now anyways."

Its only 1 day later? I doubt that but it feels like a good bit of time has passed since the fish man arc now andā¦I miss Jimbe lol

I actually think two nights passed, one on FI and one after PH before arriving on Dressrosa. Still that would be way too early for Jinbei to reunite with the Straw Hats.

Funny how Oda Sensei never acknowledges the time scale but then again that would just be to much work. I do hope Jimbe shows up sooner rather than later, maybe in the next arc, I'm pretty sure right you are accurate in the sense that he won't show up in Dressrosa.
I want to see almost everyone in the crew getting some form of haki. Luffy has all 3, Zoro and Sanji has both CoA and CoO. Robin, Brook and Chopper getting CoA. Ussop getting both CoO and CoA. I'm okay with Nami and franky not getting it, b/c their attacks are tech dependent.

I will throw in my 2 cents that Zoro and Sanji will have all 3 before the end of one piece.
I'd like to see one of the dwarves with a Giant Giant fruit.
I'd love to see a little sketch by Oda where Doflamingo and Crocodile switch subordinates for a day, I'd love to see how Crocodile reacts to all the doflamingo pirates antics, especially Dimante and Baby 5

Crocodile has had Bentham and Mr. 4, among others, as his own subordinates. I don't think he's gonna be fazed as long as they get their job done.
I'd like to know more about Mihawk's past.
I want doflamingo to behead someone
@Medical:
I'd like to know more about Mihawk's past.
Mihawks past must be one of the saddest, one lonely kid growing up to be one lonely manā¦
I want to see Rockstar, where is that man
I want see to Luffy grow taller, even the kids in Usopp pirates group are alomst as tall as Luffy FFS.

isn't that part of his goofy appeal?
i want an arc when the strawhats attacks a BELLY FACTORY! and there they would fight against the world government
I really wish we saw more of the islands the Straw Hats were sent on. No explanation for why Heracles was on Boin, no history for Tequila Wolf, no names for the grandpa and son on Karakuriā¦ I get that Oda was rushing for the timeskip but most of those islands were really cool and we barely scratched the surface. Hopefully there's more background info in the next databook.

Part of the fun is leaving stuff to the imagination, it's why those Star Wars things that explain the complete biography of random bar alien #45 suck dick.
If Oda doesn't leave some mystery and space in the sides of his world, it becomes plastic and phony real quick.
The man knows what he's doing.

He leaves some mystery in small background things such as the thing at the end of Thriller Bark or who'd Makino get with during the timeskip but he's usually pretty consistent with providing some character depth and background for the islands which is why it felt off to me.
But if his goal was to make us want more, then yeah, he succeeded.
Still wish we saw Franky set up the Vegapunk's heating system before he left Karakuri.

Those are bad examples, as those are clearly things we'll be told or shown. I'm not talking about mystery, I'm talking about Oda leaving some blank space on the sides.
Stuff like listing the other islands the Sea Train goes to but never showing or showing only a bit of them.
Like the mysterious things in the Florian Triangle, I really don't want Oda to explain these.
After all that stuff went down at sanji's restaurant, Gin promised to meet up with the strawhats again. I wouldnt mind seeing if he became any what of an important figure. He was on the same level as sanji and he seemed to have more respect that the captain so i see potential. Im also wondering if captain Kuro will ever come back. I always enjoy watching characters get recycled for some reason

It does get old though sometimes always seeing reoccurring characters.
I wouldn't care if we saw them again or not really. Not everyone is a strawhat, some people fail on their way through the grand line.
I think I'd like to see the manga slowly change it's audience from younger boys to the same boys that have grown up over the years and make it quite a bit darker. Just because the media fad as of late has been quite obsessed with dark themes (Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Shingeki no Kyojin). I think were all a lil morbid inside haha.
I know this would break the One Piece formula maybe (with more deaths) but has a series grown alot darker with age yet??

That would be horribly stupid.
dark =/= good

I don't know, at least I posted in the right thread though.

god?
Not exactly a manga element, but I would like to see another popularity poll.

That's a stupid reason to put OP in a stupid direction.

Well I guess I may have worded it oddly but I think it may be a direction One Piece is beginning to take since Ace's significant death. It's probably just me but I just feel the themes can only get darker from here on out.
