Team Three Star? Is That a Club?! CAN I JOIN?!
EDIT: Whoa, the Cell Jr.'s (mostly) have the names of various Cell VAs. That's so cool.

@Mr:
I need the ending song asap
This?
This?
I know that is the original song , but I want the dubbed version they made for when Gohan transformed. I might actually buy it if it only will appear on Itunes
This?
Presumably the shiny new English cover that was within the episode is what people want.
Speaking of songs, why nobody told me about this?
The full English Unmei no Hii is already on iTunes.
That was worth the long, furiously feet dragging wait.
I kinda thought they were going to mock the stupid speech Gohan had where he just WOULD NOT SHUT UP while going Super 2, but instead they just used the Japanese version where its completely silent except for his scream and the song… and they didn't cut a frame in that 2 minutes. Ended it on the exact same note and everything, very nice.
Apparently the Kai dub did a better job where Gohan didn't blabber endlessly about "I can't hold back, I'm going to break!" but they just used a random instrumental and that just didn't have the same power.
Also also, seems like that guy has done... quite a few Dragonball covers.
Part 2 debuts on Friday.
that was pretty good.
"Suck my perfect dick!"
Wooohooo that was amazing.
So in Buu, Vegito's now has to do the "I'm bored" routine with Super Buu?
@Cyan:
So in Buu, Vegito's now has to do the "I'm bored" routine with Super Buu?
Doesn't he do it in the anime anyway? Iirc he literally lets himself get transformed into a candy…
Again, more skewing to the serious side, but appropriately. Strangely enough my highlight is Gohan's scream after Goku teleports away. But "you missed a spot" by Cell is another highlight.
This episode and how it's being handled is kind of a perfect summary why the Cell arc is my fave despite being so self-serious.
All the character stuff just really works for me. Gohan being pushed into the transformation, Gohan's transformation turning out to be terrifying, him not listening to Goku (though from what I get that was an anime filler), Goku's sacrifice, Cell still returning and the beam struggle after that.
I prefer a better mix of comedic and serious or more skewing comedic for DB, and a lot of the Cell stuff is pretty uncharacteristicly bleak, but it also has a bunch of good character writing I really like.
Solid episode, well done guys.
him not listening to Goku (though from what I get that was an anime filler)
Nope, that was in the manga.
Good episode, though I had some trouble understanding what some of the characters were saying early on. I'll have to rewatch it.

I see. That was really good just for showing that Gohan's transformation wasn't as "heroic" as it seemed from the transformation scene.
Oh and the various adventures before the android stuff started and cell games kinda helped to not just have the arc be bleak. In this case I'm pretty sure that stuff was actually filler (Driving episode, fun times with Goku and his family, Tao Pai Pai return, story with the tree etc).

It's kind of astounding that Dragon Ball has no good online scanlations.

When I read it, online, it wasn't nearly that bad. Was on Bato.to though, perhaps those scans are gone now? Certainly wasn't mirrored lol.
"But my bae-teen.."
That got me.
All the Vegeta burning was excellent, too.
Thinking about it, that's actually my favorite stuff, the other things were good, too, though.
And part 3 comes out on Friday.
When they said soon, they meant soon.
Who doesnt enjoy Bara Bowser?
I was going to wait for all three parts, but I gave in and watched the first two.
The cake joke almost made me choke on my dinner. It was definitely my favorite joke. The King Kai bit was a close second, even though it was fairly close to the original version.
They nailed both the humor and the drama. Overall a good pair of episodes.
Also, I genuinely thought it was MasakoX singing the song during Gohan's transformation. From the stand alone song, I could tell it was a different person, but something about the context of the original scene convinced me it was. In a way, I'm disappointed it wasn't…
Well, Cell finale just aired
! And Buu arc is a go
!
damn I missed it live. time to wait.

! fuck yes, Krillin got that win.
! This was a really great finisher, but it kinda makes me all the more conflicted on how DB had the better ending with Cell, not Buu. Goku wanting to stay dead, to put an end to the all the trouble he attracted….i dunno, that always felt right.
Yet ironically I still like Buu in a lot of ways - mainly because it has lot of great comedy - but the arc was on cruise control in other aspects.
! Are 18 and 17 still androids in the original series? Because when I saw that episode I felt like that Shenrong did revert them into humans.
! But then again, it appears that they are androids in Super, so I think I missed something.
! Also My Way sung by Cell was perfecter.
Are 18 and 17 still androids in the original series?]
They are (although to be pedantic, technically they're more of artificial humans or cyborgs).
And like the original, Krillin couldn't make them human outright, but removing the bombs was the next best thing.
That was a good episode, all of it was. They clearly put their best work into it.
I did catch the stream this time around.
I think this was the weakest of the 3 parts. Cell's final song lasted too long and only a few jokes stood out. The FighterZ joke was the highlight to me.
So they are indeed doing Buu, huh?
I am not looking foward honestly, but I can see the potential of what they could do with Dabura.
Buu Saga is a challenge because it is itself already a satire of DBZ.
Ahh that was amazing. I really enjoyed Cell singing My Way, it was a great sendoff to his character.
As for Season 4… well season 3 ending felt like TFS did their due diligence providing us with everything to "end" the series on a real high... anything from now on is a bonus. Kinda like DB when it was out in Shonen Jump! Except... I feel like we'll be waiting months and months before even seeing the first episode of Season 4. They really do better work with looser deadlines, this Cell finale was downright perfect.
They said Season 4 will be in batches like FF7 Machinabridged.
During the stream they said that, while their take on the Cell Saga was something of a love letter to DBZ, the Buu Saga will be more them having fun with DBZ. Which is fitting since that's kinda what Toriyama was already doing with it.
All the drama and now we most likely get a 4th season…well, okay.
Dang this one was so great. I'm definitely going to rewatch it a couple times later.
! That sign language joke got me good.
Oh man. That was so good.
! the DRAMATIC FINISH! got me pretty good lol. The edit with Vegeta and Trunks flipping each other off was lovely.
Yeah, that was good. Need to rewatch the whole series now, it's been a while.
I'm one of the people that actually likes the Buu saga way better than Android saga, so I'm down with the next part.
I want distortion devil (parragus and orgy guy no 1) to get a more prominent voice role.
the timing was off in some parts that could have had more impact or a better flow..but all in all it was a good finale..the music number was a bit too much but ok
strange they didn't cover trunks' epilogue
