RE: It's the TeamFourStar Thread with DBZ Abridged and Pokemon things
I was going to wait for all three parts, but I gave in and watched the first two.
The cake joke almost made me choke on my dinner. It was definitely my favorite joke. The King Kai bit was a close second, even though it was fairly close to the original version.
They nailed both the humor and the drama. Overall a good pair of episodes.
Also, I genuinely thought it was MasakoX singing the song during Gohan's transformation. From the stand alone song, I could tell it was a different person, but something about the context of the original scene convinced me it was. In a way, I'm disappointed it wasn't…

RE: Star Wars Universe - Resurrection F
The best way to sum up Solo: It was a movie that I watched.
I liked some things and disliked others. I laughed at some things and cringed at others. I don't feel like it was a waste of time, but I know there were more productive things for me to do.
After reflecting on it for a day, I would probably rank it as the best among the four Disney films so far (although that was a very low bar to clear).

RE: Star Wars Universe - Resurrection F
In 20 years time The Last Jedi will be either be forgotten or remembered as the one that dared to take risks and shake things up, and fell flat on its face in the process of doing so.
Considering Star Wars has had staying power over the past 41 years and there are a half dozen projects currently in the works, I'm leaning towards the latter option.

RE: Harry Potter and the Fantastic Beasts 2: Grindelwald Boogaloo
One of my biggest dreams in middle and high school was to make an open world Hogwarts RPG where you could play through all seven years as a custom character.
It's sad to see the first such game is a freemium game for mobile devices.

RE: Star Wars Universe - Resurrection F
Assuming you want something more specific than all tracks from episodes 1 through 6…
Possibly my favorite of all is the fantastic ending for The Empire Strikes Back:
!
I've been listening to the Return of the Jedi score recently, and I feel compelled to mention The Battle of Endor. However, that is spread over 5 tracks and almost 40 minutes (from Emperor's Throne Room to Battle of Endor III, so I'll give my favorite parts:! Specifically the first two or so minutes of this one…
! And from 4 minutes in or so to the end of this one…
The Battle of Yavin and The Battle of Hoth are both favorites:! Specifically 6:15 to the end of this one…
! 2:05 - 2:45 on this one, as well as 4:00 - 6:00
And to give the prequels love beyond Duel of the Fates and Battle of the Heroes:! Star Wars Battlefront II players will recognize 1:50:
! Although I like the Love Pledge beginning to this one, 2:34 and on is my favorite:
! And this one after the main titles, so about 1:15:
I suppose I should mention one of the few tracks from the sequel trilogy that I actually like (the others being individual themes included in this medley):!
There's also the Droid Invasion, Anakin's Theme, the Asteroid Field, Burning Homestead, Binary Sunset, Escape from Cloud City/Hyperspace, Den of the Rancor, Parade of the Ewoks, The Throne Room, all unmentioned end titles from the original six films, and… -
RE: Favorite Top Ten Movies
I'm not really a film buff, I really only like blockbuster fantasy, sci-fi, and adventure movies, and movies in general don't really connect with me like they used to, so this is tough. There will be a lot of nostalgia in this list. It should also be noted that I have been listening to a lot of film scores recently…
- The Empire Strikes Back
- Return of the Jedi
- Star Wars
- The Dark Knight
- Raiders of the Lost Ark
- Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
- Jurassic Park
- The Matrix
- Batman Begins
- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Honorable mentions to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Ghostbusters, Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3, and South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut. They could easily be on the list, as everything 5 and on is basically how I was feeling at the moment.
Honorable mentions to the Star Wars Prequels, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and Ghostbusters II for the Love-Hate sentimentality.I spent most of the years after Revenge of the Sith (2005) until about The Avengers (2012) watching pre-MCU and early MCU Marvel movies and big budget but generally forgettable action movies like Transformers and Star Trek 2009. Few films from that period still resonate with me. Post Avengers, when I was getting into longer fantasy series and anime/manga, I found modern movies of similar genres to be paced too quickly for me.

RE: Star Wars Universe - Resurrection F
The Force Awakens had a tentacle monster, Rogue One had a tentacle monster and now Solo has a tentacle monster. I'm pretty sure someone at Lucasfilm has a fetish.
Seeing as they're not cutting off limbs anymore, they need something to fill the void.

RE: Star Wars Universe - Resurrection F
The Phantom Menace was the only film I watched nearly as much as Return of the Jedi back in 2000 - 2002. I loved Qui-Gon, the podrace, Darth Maul, and all of the cool designs. I tried watching it again a few years ago, and I was very quickly bored.
Nowadays, I mostly remember it for its locations and designs (especially those featured in video games), the Plinkett Reviews, and Qui-Gon. The score also deserves a special mention. Sure, Duel of Fates is a standout, but the score as a whole is just fantastic.
