Buu Saga is dead.
expected, they were clearly done after the cell saga and their output after episode 60 demonstrated it.

I watched the Kakarot LP and it's an absolute miserable experience. Kaiser hates playing it, skips the sidequests and cutscenes, while Lani keeps giving bad advice and on his second playthrough still doesn't know how to use support attacks. Meanwhile, they keep harping on non-existent plotholes ("There's no way Gohan, Krillin and Bulma have been on Namek for nearly a month when Goku is arriving in a couple days") which makes them look stupid.
That discussion about Piccolo keeping his body seemed especially weird; I can understand forgetting Kami telling Popo that Piccolo isn't a demon anymore after the Raditz fight but he sacrificed himself to save Gohan. Piccolo redeeming himself is one of the biggest moments in the entire Saiyan Saga.

Kaiser's always secretly been the worst member of TFS.
Since I checked it out, I've liked their video game stuff more than the Abridged series.
Even though I'm not familiar with the series that much, Kingdom Hearts 3 streams and some one offs have been pretty fun. The Kakarot playthrough has been pretty fun in my eyes. I like the stuff with the main guys, the others not so much.
The abridged series has some great moments, but also some humor that doesn't really gel with me anymore (especially earlier stuff) and I really don't like some of the community it has built. Popular series have larger fanbases so there will be more assholes around there, but geez.
! It's TFS:The Office. It's okay, with Lani really getting me to chuckle each time he is onscreen. I look forward to more.

It's definitely not TFS: The Office. The first episode might come off that way, but the crew has hinted heavily that the rest of the series doesn't take that tact. Having seen episode 3, that's true to at least a degree.
I wasn't aware TFS was involved in this. I saw the teaser years ago on Anime Abandon for some reason.

I watched it… the editing and direction are pretty bad.
Stylistically it looks and feels more like an inferior clone of Reboot than a CGI show made in the last 20 years.
Wow the full first fifth of that was an ad. And the rest… wasn't funny.
Like if they want to stop doing Dragonball just... stop doing Dragonball.
Oh well, nice to give Yamcha a win I guess.
! I love how most of the comedy in this is in character. 18 was on fire here.

Chichi's voice actress sounds like she forgot how to do the role.
! The concept of the episode sounds funny on paper but really it was just kind of a depressing reminder of how poorly written Vegeta is and how badly neglected Gohan is.
They should focus on doing more stuff like this:
Chichi's voice actress sounds like she forgot how to do the role.
Chichi wasn't even in the episode? If you mean 18, she sounds the same as ever to me. She's played the part more relaxed since Cell was defeated and she hooked up with Krillin.

She's never on camera but her voice is in the first ten seconds.

Chichi's offscreen telling Gohan that Vegeta's arrived, and she is speaking oddly slowly.

Maybe they were implying that she developed a drinking problem to cope with Goku's death and forgot to make it into a proper joke?
She's never on camera but her voice is in the first ten seconds.
The first ten seconds are all ads!
But okay sure, her literal one line of dialogue is something to make a judgement about.
Chichi's offscreen telling Gohan that Vegeta's arrived, and she is speaking oddly slowly.
Because it's awkward that Vegeta is there.
And they had her doing literally ONE LINE. Not much to get in character for.
Wow, we've just stopped caring about TFS entirely haven't we?
Here's a video from June.
Here's a video from two weeks ago.
I guess it could be said that TFS is now in Dragon Ball Abridged GT.
For the final DBCember, TFS is counting down the Top 12 Dragon Ball Sagas.
I'll be incredibly surprised if they don't have Namek and Android sagas at the top 2. They see to like the andoroid saga a lot so that might be their top, but Namek might win it out for iconic epicness. And they don't seem to like Buu at all so that's gonna be lower. Saiyan saga I'd expect to be high because its good, but its mostly just three fights and training, not much else.
So what are the other options?
Pilof
Tenkaichi 1- Jackie Chun
Red Ribbon
Tenkaichi 2- Tien
King Piccollo
Tenkaichi 3-Piccollo Jr. (Is the tournament seperate or would they count it as a whole with his dad)
Saiyan
Namek
Garlic Jr (lol, not a chance)
Android
Buu
Beerus
Frieza F
Zamatsu (at 12)
Universe Tournament
Depending on how they class or break things up, particularly the classic DB tourneys, and since they're ignoring GT, that might actually be everything. I could see Piccollo Sr. ranking high, but don't think many of the rest of classic DB would do well. No clue what they'd rank the rest of super I haven't followed their overall opinions on it at all.
I'd be kind of surprised if Beerus and Frieza F made the list now since, in the anime at least, those arcs were pretty awful. But then I'm not sure what they think of them.
I'm pretty sure they like the 100-episode-long multiversal tournament, so that'll probably make it into the upper half of the list.
King Piccolo will probably be in the top five, and I guess Red Ribbon will get shafted… But it totally shouldn't?
King Piccolo had bigger tension, yes, but the Red Ribbon Army saga is just FILLED to the brim with iconic stuff. I mean: the snow tower with the ninja quintuplets + the terminator parody + the frankenstein parody; General Blue + the underwater pirate cave (featuring pirate robot boss fight) + Arale; freaking Tao Pai Pai + Korin + introducing the senzu beans; the assault on the Red Ribbon HQ; the baba tournament + Gohan + Pilaf Robot Docking shenanigans.
That saga packs A TON of stuff, and a lot of it is memorable.
Now, if I had to guess their top 5, first place will be Namek, second is gonna be Androids, third and fourth a toss between King Piccolo and Saiyan and the fifth I say they'll choose the Multiverse Tournament.
Edit:
If we're adding the tenkaichis, then the second one might be a candidate. That's where the fights got more "serious" as opposite to the first one which was the biggest goof fest in the history of manga.
(I love the first tournament precisely because of how stupid it is, minus the Ran Fan fight - that one has aged horribly - but I guess if you like Dragon Ball because of the fights, the second tournament is precisely the moment when that Dragon Ball was birthed).
(This was because of Nobodyman's post, which got deleted when I deleted mine. . .for some reason?)

Folks tend to forget that and just sort of think of it as Goku going around wrecking the one base while everyone else sit around… but yeah you add in all the sub generals and Tao and Baba, it's actually a lot. The "saga" has a lot to it. The arc doesn't... and I guess Baba and Pilof falling in the middle of all that tends to break it up so you don't think of it as one big thing.

For sheer length it would kind of have to. It was the majority of all of Super.
And I was super bored and tired of it long before the end.

There's also the pre-Multiverse Tournament that happened before Zamatsu. And…I dunno, maybe Goku's afterlife tournament with Pikkon.

Sorry, I deleted my post cause I didn't think there was much point to it. (for reference for everyone else, I said I always considered the tournaments from early DB their own arcs, with the possible exception of Piccolo Jr.)
TFS does Part 1 of Part 3 of JJBA
New episode of the thing. ANd I guess episode 4 camme out while the forum was down.
4 Star adjacent, but the unexpectables ended its first campaign, fun campaign, and I’m saying it here cuz the players (who stayed to the end) and the guests did an excellent job through the story.
! The dm did a whole thing where the guest characters and the npc gave words of encouragement to the players during the final boss, the guest characters who had over a month of one shots dedicated to them, and recorded themselves their encouragement messages, notably Taka’s character who could just have said his catchphrase, and put a bow on the whole thing, absent. The whole lead up and closing seemed like a runaway to land him a final “you started this, be here to close it” and didn’t take it. I find this unsatisfying; I mean, I completely understand closing the project at 4 years, and having to re dedicate time to his own projects, and not being willing to jump on to play again after like a year of hiatus (not that it stoped the guests) but either quickly recording the catchphrase, or letting them use the 400 already recorded and clipped audio?
! The good part is that he wasn’t needed, Is like having a deadbeat uncle, you don’t notice that he didn’t come to your birthday because you had fun, but then is like “why didn’t you come?”
Stardust Crusaders Part 2
Lani and Kaiser are doing commentary on the old episodes. They're up to 7 now.
They also did some more HFIL shorts while the forum was down.
Speaking of, HFIL episode 7 just dropped.
These HFIL videos are reaching Benderesque proportions of ad content.
New HFIL dropped and all I can say is stick around for the post-credits scene.
@pariston_hill
TotallyNotMark's review just dropped yesterday. You can watch the whole thing here:
Or if you just want to see the TFS clips, you can watch them here
"and now...I'm going to PTA meetings, and going to Krillin's movie night! Listen to me Kakarot, I'M USING HIS FUCKING NAME!"
missed these guys
it was visible last night when Nobodyman posted but now i only see black squares. Odd.
edit: nvr mind it loaded and works fine
@Robby
Huh. That's really weird. For me it's showing up just fine as the fifth thread below the pinned threads.
I'd post a screencap, but I get a notice saying I don't have privileges for that.
That's odd, it's also showing up normally for me. We'll have Cinder take a look at it.
Seems to be fixed for me now, thanks!
