i think luffy will draw with boa but get margaret and her friend reverted back to normal all 4 of them banished sent as a prize for captain momogoa

I dunno, I think this chapter is pulling away from the "slave mark" theory.
A big problem is that the sisters are acting like having people see the mark is a life or death situation. A slave mark is something to be ashamed about, but is it worth losing your life over? I don't know.
I think there's a chance that this mark is something huge in the grand scheme of things. Maybe it's a relation to the history of the world, similar to the research of the void history that got Ohara burned down and made Robin an outcast. Of course, there are still many possibilities.
The slave mark that all the slaves in Sabaody have. You remember, right? They were everywhere. And it makes perfect sense when you think about all the slave traders who travel into the Calm Belts to capture powerful Amazon warriors
None of the slaves back then had a mark on their body. At least it wasn' t shown. What we SUGGESTED is, that certain slaves wear the "Doflamigo" Sign shown at the action house.
Right now it's really hard to predict where Oda is going with this. It could be genuine tears or boa is crying becuase she's pissed that her enemy is taking pity on her. The latter would fit in with her bitchy stuck up personality and lead into the Boa Vs. Luffy fight. But if we go to the former. We'll have a explanation of what the thing of their back is or a flashback showing the events leading to their shame the next chapter. Which would actually be a more tidier ending to this arc. For keeping their secret, Boa will give Luffy a ship and unfreeze the 3 statues. Probably sending aka banishing any of the 3 or all of the 3 along with Luffy since they did go against the laws of the tribe and brought a man to the village. Plus this also gives Luffy a way to find out info about the Whitebeard/Shichibukai war and Ace's whereabouts from Boa. Boa would be alot more forthcoming with info if she actually becomes friends with Luffy.
There is a couple very simple reason it can still be a "slave mark" on the back (And by the way it doesn't have to DoFlamingos one, it could be a mark a tenryubito puts on slaves after they are bought for instance. In other words not a mark that would have been on any slaves in the Auction House but rather on a slave like Dias for instance) and still be relavent why she doesnt want any of the amazons to see it.
1. Its very obvious that whatever the mark is on their back, they are ashamed of it, and sometimes being ashamed of something makes it so you want no one to see it even if the people that see it won't know what it means. (Plus if any the amazons can recognise the mark or regular people, it shows that she had been placed into submission alot of her life which is a no-no quality among the Amazon as has been seen so far.) 2. They are hiding where there powers are coming from, all the Amazons think the mark on there backs are curses that lead to how the sisters have all these supernatural powers. If they find out that is not true they will get suspicious as well to what is on their backs. 3. There are PLENTY of amazons that have gotten off the island and know how some of the world works, or does all her pirate crew just stay on the ship and do nothing when they go pirating? The pirate crew has to be aware of the slave trade by now, and they don't have to know about the devil fruits either for that to happen (They could just say any person with odd powers is either Haki or a curse as well).
Also the slave theory makes sense and gives reason to all of Hancocks behavior. She constantly looks down on people, wants them to be subservient, is extremely vain (The whole "I will always be forgiven" could be that she had a master that was just like that as well, Tenryubtio all acted like this :P). These are all actions she would have been susceptible under as a slave. She probably had to end up helping herself and escaped with her sisters and ever since than has almost taken on the persona of her former slave owners (assuming again that is what the mark is). When luffy showed kindness and protection to her sisters, she let out a tear. This is so far been the only genuine emotion she has shown thus far. She also hates the government (If this theory is true she would hate it for legitimizing the slave trade and maybe the allowing the Tenryubitos behavior.).
And perhaps the best reason in my mind to why this is potentially true… this whole arc starting when they met Caime, seems to be about discrimination and slavery. Continuing that theme would keep this arc coherrent with the rest of the Shabondy/fishman arc so far and it would no longer be just a simple filler arc, which is one of the many complaints people had when this arc started, there is just no tie in yet other than showing the final shichibukai and learning when Aces execution is.
It could still be something else obviously, and you are all entitled to your opinions. But don't think anything is impossible when we have so little information on these three sisters past :P
I really don't think that they were slaves. If someone were to try and capture Hancock, she'd just turn them to stone, unless they're immune like Luffy. I'm guessing most people would be turned to stone though. Therefore it's gotta be something else other than a slave symbol. Of course, she may have gotten the slave tatoo before she got her devil fruit. Perhaps we'll see her past soon.
yohohohoho ! Brook CARD IS MINE !
Ok first off I'll mention this since I was stuck staring at it for like 5 min(haven't read through the thread to see if it's already been mentioned. So which SH looks like these guys?
[hide]
and any other male Joestar for that matter lol….......
I'm pretty sure Usopp looks like somebody else in manga too, it's almost like Oda had somebody else draw them for him lol.
[/hide]
Anyway very good chap.
Is it me or did the sisters seemed scared when Hancock commented on them getting handled by Luffy? As if they were scared she would turn them in to stone or harm them in some way.
LOL @ Pandawoman in the stands…...
From Hancock's order for an evacuation after assessing the situation I'm convinced she's fake crying to shank Luffy in the back (or eye lol made that pun work)......

Thats what im saying. If the theory is true, than they were slaves before Hancock had a devil fruit, and maybe when she got that devil fruit that is how she escaped. So im saying this would have happened when she was alot younger, like 10-13 years of age. I don't speculate on things that can't happen, I speculate on how things can happen :P, because at the moment anybodys theories are good so long as they can back them up with how the story could go on from the revelation.
Also I take the theory with the idea that Hancock was not always the way she was, or else it wouldnt explain her tearing up or the obvious bewilderment of the other two Gorgon Sisters when luffy did what he did this chapter. (If it's not obvious I think she is clearly tearing up for something she never thought she'd see, rather than from being frustrated hate of Luffy like some have said :P) People need to take these theories based not on that they can't happen, but whether or not they 'want' them to happen (Like how very few want to see Hancock end up as Luffy's mother like some were speculating earlier when the arc started, not that it can't but because story wise its too cheesy and rediculous) because Oda is afterall fairly unpredictable unless it is something really dramatic. In those cases Oda plays with the emotions of the obvious to make the end result satisfying.
Than again… I am trying to be a novel writer so I often think not on what is likely, but I try to peer in and see what might be hidden and what can be better for the grander story (especially in regards to pacing... again my main reason for this theory is that it ties into the themes that started the overall arc, much like how the CP9 arc was based around what it means to be a true crewmate and friend on board a pirate ship, and what you are willing to sacrifice to keep it in tact, that whole theme started even with Aokiji entrance and ended with Ussop being forgiven for his actions).
How would she have even been captured to have been a slave? Only the pirates leave the island, and I think they would've noticed her missing. And if they just left her, how'd she get back? And of course, why haven't they destroyed the place that'd dare make an Amazon a slave? She could just turn them all to stone with but a wave of her hand and be done with it. How does being a slave make one arrogant, again? And why does everyone think slaves even get branded when we've seen nothing to support it?
Why do these baseless theories get so popular? People should focus less on plot twistan' and more on sense makin'.
I don't know if anyone has thought of this yet, and its kinda random…. buy heck, I'm gonna throw it out there.
Not that this would ever happen, but would it be crazy to suppose that Hancock and Luffy become king and queen? yeah... it is, but i kinda thought its an idea, even though Luffy reaaally doesn't like her right now....
i mean, itd kinda be a cool combination... though it doesn't make any sense. I mean, imagine Luffy with his cool cape looking into the sunset with Hancock by his side all spiffy looking....
I'm not really serious about this, just throwing that stupid idea out there.
I was wondering if it was possible for someone to scan the Popularity Contest results which I cann't find with the RAW uploaded
anyway~~~ thanks for the raw and for the scan (if smbd does it )
Thinking about the mark on her back, I think she has the Sunny Pirates' (Jimbei's) mark on her back.
The Fishmen, who can travel through the calm belt, terrorized their island until the sisters famously drove them out. however, the truth is, she is a former member of Jimbei's crew and merely asked him to stop attacking. The Amazons would recognize the symbol as being the same from their former attackers, and would realize the truth.

This theory has now moved to every shichibukai that hasn't been defeated by Luffy lol
This is pretty good since it also fits with Luffy seeing it somewhere before.
This would just prop Jimbei up as a badass and show us where Arlong got his idea for basically enslaving Nami.
It's pretty good, I also like the idea of Jimbei's crew having the gorgon monster as some type of pet or nakama to help terrorize different islands…..
I like this but I'm still gonna hold out for every theory is just gonna be a theory, never come to fruition and Oda has something completely left field that NOBODY has thought of or mentioned planned to be on the Boa sisters' backs.........
Oda is awesome - in order to distract readers from dying to know what the other strawhats are up to, he creates this mysterious mark that we are now dying to know about… just tell us already!!!
I'm starting to think we might not see what the other crew members are doing anyway - one piece would be weird without luffy for more than a chapter or two.
has anyone put the thought that Sonia is completely naked right now? even on a zoan state is a sexy thought =)
i think that is rally stupid to waste time even considerating the posiblity of the slave mark
is just to imposible and not good enough
Should this thread be subtitled ''Coming Out of the Bestial Closet'' or something?
btw do any of you guys think that maybe luffy isn't going to learn how to use his haki on the island but will learn it from rayleigh? after what luffy did for the sisters they will lend their ship to luffy and give him a ride to the shabondy islands. that or one of the females on the island will join luffy's crew (margaret?) and they will together beat up that vice admiral and take his ship. luffy will maybe be the first of the strawhats to arrive at the island and then rayleigh will teach him how to use it. out of everyone that luffy knows right now rayleigh would probably be the best one to teach luffy about haki. if boa does decide to teach luffy about haki then i still expect something big to happen and that will force boa to either go to fight whitebeard or make boa stay on the island and lose her status.
I don't think anyone's going to teach Luffy how to use Haki. If he doesn't learn it on his own he's not going to.
I don't think anyone's going to teach Luffy how to use Haki. If he doesn't learn it on his own he's not going to.
somebody has to teach him or otherwise he won't ever learn. i don't think luffy will become a student but they will explain what haki is and how luffy can tap into it. it will be left up to luffy to completely master it but he does need somebody to make him aware of it. i think he will learn haki at this point and fishman island will be the first place he uses to help him learn how to master haki.
i always wondered who stopped chopper the first time he used monster point
didn't zoro said he would eventually die because of the amount of energy it wasted if nobody stopped him?
maybe it was Kureha, which I highly doubt.
The affect of the rumble balls only lasts so long. It probably just wore off by itself.
Someone's been on 4chan >.>
I posted in on 4chan too.
Here I fixed up the syntax and such.
Anyone else notice that on page 13, the entire audience had the face fault. :D

Why do these baseless theories get so popular? People should focus less on plot twistan' and more on sense makin'.
First part of your quote… who said she was born on the Amazon island? The only rule I have seen so far was stated that no men are allowed to be on the island... that doesnt mean females can't come to the island after birth and it especially holds to that ideology that she must have had something in her past that is not part of what all the Amazons acknowledge. Where did she get the devil fruit? How in the hell did none of the other Amazons not know about Devil Fruits if she was given it when she was either #1 a pirate captain, or #2 a crew member on the ship (Obviously im discounting the possibility of it being found on the actual island)? They must have 'seen' this so called gorgon monster in order to believe it right? Or maybe she had the ability before she was known on the island, and thus... went to the island well into her life. And thats where she explained her and her sisters powers as curses.
As for the why don't they go kill the people that would dare make someone a slave... well thats the trick isn't it. This place under Hancock has taken the stance that she could do no wrong, and that potentially any wrong doing she does to others of her own tribe is ok, what makes you think they would all of a sudden do a raid on another group for there "Nakama". Secondly in regards to that comment, the whole basis of the slave theory is that she is so ashamed of it and that it was an act that she was forced into submission a part of her life (A big no-no thought for any 'strong' amazon) that she would never let on to any amazon that it ever happened. Thus why she would never want any of the Amazon to see it, even if potentially they would not know it (Gloriosa probably would though, and she has beef enough with Hancock as is, don't want her getting on her tail for hypocritical things like that.)
And for your statement how does one being arrogant make the slave arguement valid. Its called Doing by example under duress. When people are freed from being under intense turmoil and a position they cannot break away from, they often take the form of there savior... if there was no savior other than themselves... they often take the form of there closest antagonist not out of choice, but out of short-sided revenge. If the slave owner put her into submission, made sure he was always right and would always be forgiven to any of his wrong doings (like hitting his own slave and being a world noble for instance) and than all of a sudden this so called slave eats a devil fruit that charms people, she will want to use that power against her owner, and thus consequentially... become what she hated most, and than from it she begins to abuse her power and becomes the person she is now. I am not trying to say this theory is true, I am simply putting together the possibilities of what her actions might be influenced from (I do NOT think she is a shallow person especially after this chapter, so I don't think she was born with this attitude, nor do I think the sisters were) and giving them a backstory in the matter of a simple theory. And so far id say most of the stuff holds up (IF most of the stuff in my theory comes true about her past of course :P again I am trying to be a novel writer, and since people are attacking my theories that I just come up with, I like to atleast try to defend them with a full response, nothing wrong with questioning them).
Its all theory, and if you don't like it thats fine. I am just 'attempting' to second guess Oda and more than likely I could be wrong, but nothing so far in any of these chapters puts it in the realm of impossibility and there is also many rewards for the story and pacing that could come from it. And by the way I guess I need to clarify what I mean by "slave mark". I just mean something... anything... that could tie her into being a slave (Or maybe even a deviation from the slave remark... something that she is discriminated against, again im trying to tie it back to what I personally believe this whole long arc is about and how it will finish, and that is slavery and discrimination), doesnt even neccesarily have to be a tatoo, but a simple mark of submission that she can't remove out of losing her dignity or just simply can't because its seared into her back.
Just like the Poneglyph theory, I don't think it is the case, and I don't think its highly likely, but I am not going to refute the fact it would make sense from an immediate standpoint (Don't want any of the marines knowing about it) and possibly for a long term story one. (Although if that theory is true Oda would have some explaining to do on how something like that got there... which I can't think of at the moment which is why im saying its highly unlikely for now.) Again if you can come up with something better that would honestly move the story forward in a great way... than be my guest :) If not stop thinking about the immediate information but rather about what can happen to move the story forward from the tension we have now. No one here is Oda, but we all like to try and second guess him. Your welcome to say differently from what I have, though.
I personally think whatever is on the three sisters back is emotionally scaring, and not just something stupid like with Duval. And just having something like "White Beard" crewmate tatoo (Which I was for a while back by the way until this chapter) would to me be anticlimatic and like I said in my past comment... I am against theories that would hurt the pacing of the overall story arc :P, but I welcome them if they can make them sound exciting or fun or potentially emotional. Even if they sound farfetched, I take nothing out of the realm of possibility if people can help support there theories. I only brought forth this theory out of newly found possibilities of something deeper and emotional out of Hancock and her sisters that came from this chapter, before this chapter I probably wouldnt even dream of this theory and put it off as her being a spoiled brat like character with an embarrasing mark on her back.
First off, I'd like to say that the colorspread for this chapter was just awesome! Watermelon-bananas and apple-oranges and Brooke is the joker! Awesome! Oh, and Usopp's expression is priceless.
The chapter itself I thought was pretty good. Not as good as the last few chapters, but still good. It was pretty predictable, just Luffy beating the crud out of Marigold and Sandersonia, but he did it with style (his little "V-signs" were awesome).
I was actually kinda surprised that Luffy was so willing to help them. I've never know Luffy to help out an enemy, especially one that threatened to hurt his friends.
Well, it was still a good chapter, and hopefully next week we'll find out what the marks on their backs are.

So still no sight of the cover and poll scans?~
Anyone?~
Awesome chapter, is Hancock crying because she will kill her two sisters at next chapter, it happen sometimes before, not in OP, maybe, don't remember right now.
I'm still putting money on the mark being that of the slave trade.
Reason one being that Luffy has seen it before. To our knowledge, Luffy hasn't seen mister fishman's emblem… I think...
Reason two, Luffy know's that it has meaning. To them at least. I doupt he would go to this length if it really was a giant eye.
lucci could transform into a full Leopard so Chopper should be able to transform into a full Human without Rumble Balls.
He does actually. The cute cuddly Chopper we see is the Human-reindeer hybrid version. The big ape-like thing he becomes is his Human form. Weird, though, cause Chopper doesn't attain a perfect human form. We see his pure reindeer form when he went to town with Kureha.
Awwwwwwwwwwesome
Hmm, I can't make out 34 or 41…

Not exactly, more likely the sisters will offer to tell him about the haki and he ll just stop them in their tracks, telling them he ll learn it on his own.
Blue
Really depends on the sequence of events. I expect someone to tell him atleast some logistics of how the power works, but he may not neccesarily beable to control it right away. Oda has to atleast find a point in where he tells the readers how the ability works afterall, and its best for it come when Luffy is trying to understand it too. It could come from one of the 3 sisters, but if in the end Hancock unpetrifies Margaret and the other 2 and she banishes the three, than I would say Margaret would do it at that point (Depends on how emotional hancock is next chapter, or if she really feels like getting buddy with Luffy (my hunch says no for the moment… would be too much of a turn around on her immediate character)). But I really think we are going to get a simplified explanation on Haki before the end of this arc on Amazon island.
Big thumbs up to Croy for a few very good posts in this thread. I fully agree, but in one regard - I don't think its connected to the nobles, but rather to either Doflamingo or Jinbei. I'm leaning towards Jinbei (60% to 40%) for a variety of reasons, but you can't really tell who it's gonna be between the two. There are a lot of possible "villains" and even "heroes" and we'll have to wait and see who Oda chooses for what role (Jinbei could easily turn out to be a hero protecting the discriminated fish people or a racist, whose example was followed by Arlong).
If the mark's been made by Jinbei, how would Luffy recognize it?
I had proposed a slight variation of the Slavery Theory myself.
[hide]
My theory was that the sisters (whether they are really sisters or not is debatable) were at an early point of life sold off in the AH as slaves to, possibly, one of the Nobles. No, maybe not Nobles, but someone equally cruel, and with a hobby of collecting DFs. This is where Mary and Sonia would get their respective models of the Snake Snake Fruit. Possibly, Boa gets her DF from here as well. They were branded (by their master) as slaves, and treated badly. After stealing their respective DFs, the three sisters escaped captivity.
A slight variation to this theory is that the three sisters were slaves or prisoners of some scientist (Vegapunk?) who experimented on them, and his experiments left horrible scars on their body. Since amazons equate beauty with strength, the sisters feel their position as the best/ most revered members of the Kuja would lie in jeopardy if the Amazons see those horrible scars. But the, scars don't explain Luffy's familiarity with whats on their backs.
[/hide]
Of course, its a far-fetched story, with its fair share of loopholes.
@ysn:

Thats kinda how I think about it too as well in regards to Jimbei (your last point) I think Jimbei is going to end up being an asset for Luffy before the end, mainly because if Arlong left Jimbei because he became a Shichibukai (And after Moria and Hancock I think we can confirm that it is not required for a pirate crew split to join them) than there has to be a moral/mental difference between the two for the choice. The first thing that came to mind is Arlong not wanting to serve under human command/the government. But Jimbei might have become a Shichibukai for his people. What that could be is not something I have thought of yet that would honestly work under the current story info (After all the slave trade and the constant discriminization of the merfolk and fishman is still around… and inhumane hunting of the fishman like animals stopped in what sounded like 200+ years ago... will need to look at the chapter they mentioned it again). I bet if that is true, Jimbei probably does not get along very well with Doflamingo (and if my slave theory is true... probably wouldnt get along with Hancock either). I don't know about your theory, but until we get more info on there past I will take it as just as plausible as my own :P
Thats how I look at it, but since I know so little of there past, I mainly extrapolating on why they act the way they do and potentially tieing it back to the thing on their back. In order to get my theory across I just leave who the owners are in the open because just about any person could do what I said if they bought them as slaves. (especially if they are young and fragile... perhaps Hancock was not such a beauty as well when she was young too for all we know :P but than again that would be too much like Alvida than so I doubt it XD). Even though I got no evidence to it, I would say the Tenryubito might have been the owner if the theory turns, mainly to tie it back into the overall arc, and make the eventual reconfrontation with the world nobles (You know its coming lol) that much more epic knowing how many people have truly been hurt by them and their rule. They also seem like the type that would have lots of Devil fruits to collect just for the hell of it too, so a collection of fruit in one house multiple Zoan types could make sense.
Also the mark they are talking about the mark of the pirate crew which Luffy has seen alot thanks to Hachi having the tattoo on his forehead. If the mark is related to Jimbei, it would probably be something other than slavery though, and rather discrimination causing her problems, and not wanting to show the symbol because it showed she had allegance to someone other than her own people. Alittle less emotional than my theory, but hey it still works.
(If some of you don't like the theories just ignore stuff we say so it doesn't unravel the thread too much. If it wasnt for the likely hood of us knowing whats on there backs next chapter I would just make a thread on the topic.)
The biggest problem is that the mark has to be something Luffy has seen before, and probably think is a bad/unforunate thing to have. Although, for Luffy, it might not be a big deal at all - he is just respecting the Sisters' resolve to keep the secret hidden even if they die.

Yeah that's typically how it is. From the Drum arc explanation, rumble balls are what gives Chopper the ability to do more forms than the typical 3 that all Zoans can do. But with Monster Point from eating 3 rumble balls shows that he can still achieve more forms. A mastering of Haki can basically either A) Give him even more forms or B) A way for him to control his transformations at will. There is going to be a point where Chopper is going to have some kinda control over his Monster Point form. Haki could be a means of him achieving that.
He can, his human form just looks like a gorilla…

From Arlong, Hatchi and the Karate Fishman.
Tenryuken, You are mistaken.. In your screens your 2nd and 3rd screens are incorrect.
Screen 1 is Lucci (Human)
Screen 2 is Lucci (Hybird form)
Screen 4 is Lucci (Leopard)
Screen 3 is Lucci (Hybird) using Life Return to create a more agile form since Leopard is bulky.
EDIT
Chopper has the same thing
Little Form = Hybrid
Gorilla Form = Full Human
Deer Form = Full Reindeer..
Monster Point is kinda like the Life Return for Lucci, Haki is not involved in either from our information so far.. I do not think Haki would give another Zoan form, but perhaps more techniques.

Deer Form = Full Reindeer..Monster Point is kinda like the Life Return for Lucci, Haki is not involved in either from our information so far.. I do not think Haki would give another Zoan form, but perhaps more techniques.
OK.
I was just wondering why Lucci could be 1oo% Leopard but not Chopper since in is Human mode he still has a Blue Nose and a Rendeer skin while Lucci in Full Leopard has nothing Human.
OK.

Chopper Human form is not a perfect human transformation. Why? Don't ask me. Ask Oda. But I would think, this is to make a "dramatic" transformation. People go " Woah, tanuki turned into gorilla" when they see Chopper shape-shift to Human form.
Another thing Chopper has different from every other Zoan we have seen so far, is that he prefers his hybrid form as his default one. He only changes to full reindeer in crowded towns (like in W7), or during rumble ball phases.
OK.

Noone ever said that the Hito Hito No Mi is the EXACT opposite to all the other Zoan Fruits.
I guess the reason why Chopper's human form isn't perfect is because he's a animal that ate the human human fruit. While all the other zoans are humans that ate zoan type fruits. Since chopper didn't start off as a human his human form isn't perfect.
