Are you debating me or the other guy? I cant tell.
Alright…
So yeah, I agreee that Oda colous almost everybody in the same skin colour, but not ALL.
Or you say thouse are the same colours? :
Actually yes. In the first picture it looks like they all have different shades of the EXACT same color. He made certain characters darker but it looks like he used the exact same marker for all the skin tones there.
In the second pic he used a different color for a SINGLE character to indicate how tan she is. And even then it looks like her skin tone is blended from the same base tone everyone has. My point is that most manga artist just use the exact same colors for skin tone to save time and because it's easier. Manga colorspreads are more about getting the color scheme out there, not making this masterpiece afterall.
BTW, in the manga robin has the exact same skin tone as everyone else, so do Zoro and Usopp. And in colorspreads OFTEN Luffy has completely different skin tones from one pic to another. In some his skin is yellow and in others it's pink. What I'm saying is the skin color is pretty inconsistant in colorspreads anyway and I'm sure Oda-sensei tells them what colors he wanted when they animate them. How else would characters who havent appeared in colorspreads be consistant when they get animated?
And yes. Zoro is black.:P
What I'm saying is Oda gives characters two shades 95% of the time: Fair skin and tanned. He doesnt spend time getting them specific shades each time and then keeping it consistant for every color page. He IS doing that shit by hand!If he were an american comic guy, doing this all by computer, he probably would.
