I never though the Scabbards to be that young during the flashbacks, kids of course but the design made me see them more as young teens.
Oda expects us to buy that this is an 18 year old.

@Johnny:
Surprised to see Izo have such a high bounty, since he wields guns, which are pretty underpowered in OP.
Guns are one of the only surefire ways to kill people in One Piece. A gun killed Oden. A gun killed Corazon. A gun killed Fisher Tiger. Etc.
@Kaido:
While I would agree that Daifuku and Oven's bounties should be a hundred or two higher, I wouldn't undersell Tamago and Pekoms. Not much reason to think Tamago is significantly weaker than them and Pekoms could have received all or part of his bounty from Nox pirate activities
No one is underselling Tamago and Pekoms. Just saying that it wouldn't make any kind of sense for them to be above Oven and Daifuku in either strength or pecking order of the Big Mom Pirates. They've literally been active pirates their entire lives.
For those complaining about bounties, remember, they only count for what the government knows, and they haven't been a good measurement of anything since Alabasta
Blackbeard has a bounty of 0 when he became a warlord, and Hancock, Crocodile and Buggy all had bounties of under 100 million. (Buggy's rightly so, but now they're estimating him much higher than he deserves) In Impel Down, despite Luffy having a 300 million bounty, he was thrown into level 5 instead of the really dangerous guys in level 6… which included Crocodile and Jinbe who both had lower bounties than Luffy. Chopper still has a harmless joke bounty and Sanji went without one for a long time.
Bounties are a guide, not a final analysis power level.
What the government looks for is reputation. Assumed power. Buggy now has a public reputation as a guy who sailed with Gold Roger and is on equal standing with Shanks of the Yonko. They're probably well aware that he's not actually that strong, but the fact that people think he is should be enough to do the Shichibukai job. They're meant to destroy and intimidate other pirates. Same with Hancock. Everyone was aware of the reputation of the Kuja, so they offered her the Shichibukai position right away because people know just how strong they are and that their queen is going to become an ultra heavy hitter one day. Blackbeard took down the famous Fire Fist Ace. In front of an entire town's population. He didn't need a bounty, that feat alone can give reputation enough for Shichibukai status. Oda said that if the Shichibukai were active pirates, their frozen bounties would be much higher. See Jinbe. After he quit and joined the war, his bounty almost doubled. Shichibukai bounties are not good examples to use in any kind of discussion like this.
@Malty:
I don’t know why people choose to underestimate Judge as a scientist.
Because all he managed to do was make children with no emotions who aren't even that strong at the cost of his wife's life. And an army of clone jobbers. He didn't invent anything impressive like something that makes the Shichibukai obsolete. Or almost make giant children.
That's quite the argument. Based on absolutely nothing but personal feelings.
You are really overrating Oven. Sanji, Ichiji and Bege all managed to knock him out of his feet, which should be enough of a clue that this guy ain't a big shot. Oven has an advantage against weapon users, but that's about it.
None of them put him down though. None of them actually fought him, they just tried to delay him/avoid his wrath. And every single time, he just got back up and asked for more. Bege sniped him and ran over him with a ship, and it just made him mad. Sanji kicked him and it just made him mad. Pound hit him with a stick and it just made him murder the guy.
It's the average range of the Worst Generation save for the Law, Luffy, Kid trio.
Which is a level that a Yonko's heavy hitter should be above. That's the whole argument.
As for Daifuku, dude can only rival your average Super Saiyan Mink. Pekoms has that same ability AND a fruit that gives him invincible defense. I can't really say anything about Tamago or Pedro considering their brief fight showings, but nothing really indicates me they're weak. In fact, Tamago seems like he's immortal.
I don't know what you're talking about? If you're talking about Carrot, Daifuku never actually fought her. She spent her entire Super Saiyan time simply baiting him into destroying his own fleet. Very clever on her part, but hardly a show of her power against his. If she baited a drunk Kaido into blowing up Onigashima, you wouldn't say Carrot's power rivals Kaidos. Plus, Pekoms in his form got overwhelmed by a crowd of no name Big Mom foot soldiers.
What makes you think that they more powerful than most of those people?
Their status as "monsters" among one of the four strongest pirate crews in the entire world. Noted to be just under the likes of Smoothie and Katakuri in terms of strength in the crew.
Also, again, we didn't really get the opportunity to see Pekoms in real combat, considering he was backstabbed, injured or cheapshotted the majority of fights he was in.
This man is seriously trying to imply that Pekoms is Big Mom's strongest guy outside the commanders. smh
Also, WTF do you mean you could collect Oars Jr's bounty if you tried?
The very instant somebody with a name glanced in his direction, he got destroyed. Badly. He's not that strong.
@Kai:
They were never that strong. Sanji didn't even bother using Diable Jambe against either of them.
Sanji was always way more powerful than people think he is. In fact, I feel like the bump the Straw Hats got after Dressrosa was a little low.
@Kai:
Who are they going to beat in that list? Doflamingo? Weevil? Zoro? Sanji? Jinbe? Kid? Get real. Even Yonji was overpowering Daifuku's genie.
Pekoms, Tamago, Capone, Pedro, maybe Hawkins. Actually definitely Hawkins. Oven would destroy that guy. Don't act like Sanji or Jinbe would run through them. They could probably beat them, but you're implying they'd curbstomp them. Get a clue, dude.
This (not yet updated) list helps into giving some perspective. 300 Million actually sounds fair and puts them alongside some top subordinates of powerful organizations. 400-500 Million and above is where you actually start seeing the game-changers.
Of the people on that list (between 300 and 500 million) Oven and Daifuku should be more powerful and much higher threat levels than most of them. That's why we're saying the bounties make sense. No one is saying that 300 million isn't a lot of money. We're saying that if someone like Pekoms is worth 330 million, guys like Oven and Daifuku should easily be able to break 400 or even 450.
Also, I'm fairly confident Oven or Daifuku could easily be bigger threats to the world than Oars Jr. Even I could collect Oars Jr's bounty if I tried.
@Malty:
That really doesn’t make any sense. If Judge could do it the first time with Reiju, why wouldn’t he just do it again with his sons?
I feel like manipulating genes to create a human immune to poison could be a whole different science to creating a guy who can shoot lasers. Also, Judge use to work with Ceasar, so he's probably a one hit wonder like him. I mean, what is Judge's scientific claim to fame? Clones? Clones that he can't even conquer the North Blue with? Boooooring.
Reiju has no DF as it sounds and the power is genetic
But with the powers being genetic my questions comes up again.
What would have been Sanji‘s powers?
What exactly is Yonji?
And why is the Stealth Black suit got an additional power with invisibility?
Looks like Reiju is the only one to have her power be genetic. She's the only one with a power that could only be genetic. A suit won't give you the ability to drink poison. A suit can give you the power the shoot beams and electricity.
It's a matter of perception. The only person Tamago ever fought for a significant time was Pedro, who also has the same issue, so it's hard to compare them to others. Same for Pekoms, who has never been featured in an actual fight except that time he was ganged up (and that other time he oneshoted Caribou, so he at least did better than Iron Boy Scotch).
Oven at 300 Million is consistent to how both Sanji and Bege got to fool around with him, but never to the extent of portraying him as a joke (unlike the countless Gifter Headliners that Oda desperately wants us to believe can actually bother Luffy and Co.). He's one of those guys that are strong on their own standards as long as they're not aiming for the protagonist. If one of Sanji's relatively overhyped brothers can defeat him, then he's not anywhere close to the top siblings.
Sanji's overhyped brothers cannot defeat Oven.
Most people with bounties in that range tend to be monsters. It's still a select group.
Plus, they're not "that" strong to the point of matching the Sweet Commanders. We know Sanji, Ichiji and even Bege can knock Oven out of his feet.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Weird. Didn't he say he can't fly?
@Long:
Somewhere in the middle of Pekoms and the commanders would make more sense like say 400/500s but it being what it is, isnt too crazy. Nobody think pekoms could stand up to daifuku/oven anyways so it doesnt matter.
Though Tamago is higher. Technically didnt see his final form in action though
I agree that in the range of 400-500 million would make more sense for some of Big Mom's top guys. People singled out with the likes of Smoothie and Katakuri as people to especially fear among Big Mom's crew. Her most reliable children who have been active pirates literally their entire lives. They were even born on a damn pirate ship. I guess Perospero gave a high expectation with his bounty, that was even higher than a Sweet Commander. Technically, as 'executives' they are ranked higher than guys like Tamago, so it feels not right for him to dwarf them in bounty.
