I think this has probably been discussed before, but should we start positing again as to why exactly Kuma sent Luffy to Amazon Lily? Did he want Luffy to delay Hancock and keep her from the Whitebeard battle (which incidentally, she didn't plan on attending anyway)? Does he want Luffy to beat Hancock? Did he somehow imagine that Luffy would be greeted differently than he was? Was Kuma's intention that Luffy end up learning Haki? Or perhaps it's related to the secret on their backs? Or maybe… he thinks that Luffy will somehow (indirectly) persuade Hancock to join the Whitebeard battle?

It's from what Kuma says here in the last panel of this page that leads me to believe that he is a double agent of Dragon's. Sure there is the possibility that what Garp let out to his crew could have gotten out to the rest of the Marines and World Government, but I doubt that since they were his crew. I figure that they would be as loyal to him as Luffy's crew is to him, meaning that the mystery that surrounds Dragon should still remain for the rest of the world.

While that brief exchange with Rayleigh seems to be relaying that there is no ill intent toward the Strawhats, Kuma's uncertainty just gives me the impression that he is simply following orders.
I know it's not a very popular theory, but I believe that, unbeknowns to Kuma, Dragon intentionally had Kuma send Luffy to Kuja island, to his mother, to properly prepare him for the New World.

Just from what Helmeppo said it's difficult to imagine anyone else in Luffy's family being anything but another outrageous individual.
So I imagine that Luffy will first defeat those two sisters using the Gears before having to personally face Hancock. Although clearly outclassed Luffy will probably display his Haki potential just as he's stating his name and goal. His display of potential could be reminiscent of either one of these scences.

Dunno. What i expect to see is luffy kicking the gorgons' asses quickly and then starting a fight with hancock and then telling her something like "how could you do this to your nakama… Also, i have to join my nakama... i don't have time to play with you" and then kick her ass, make her undo the transformation on margaret and co., and then take her ship, having the eler woman + the 3 girl helping him set sail and all :p

The three folks from Franky Family and White Beard are like that but not Kuma and Moria, They are Giants(normal sized men are a lil' taller than their hands).

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere in the latest threads yet.. But I was under the impression that Lola gave Luffy one of those funky pieces of paper at the end of TB with Lola's mom's name on it and at that time she was referred to as "Pirate Empress Hancock"
Is it possible that 'Hancock' is the name all the empresses have? Cuz the old lady does kinda remind me of Lola. It would make sense that she's Lola's mom being a former empress.

And that the name "Hancock" was only brought up on the same page as Lola's mom because they were discussing Mermaid beauty. Lola's mom was a seperate topic by the same people with no connecting of the two.

I think Luffy's getting away somehow, after turning the three people who were turned into stone back to normal, because I don't think there's anyway they could live if they were stone for 2 days, and I see this arc lasting 2 days for the Vice Admiral to be involved. Either that or Luffy beats them and there's a party and then after the party the V.A. comes ashore and is like Surprise Cockbags.
Luffy will escape the arena by sending Hancock into a Villainous BSOD after giving her a nosebleed via punch to the face. Whatever happens afterwards, I don't know.

Not that these examples matter much, but in Legend of Dragoon for PS1 spoiler Zieg is turned to stone and the effect faded off after 11,000 years and he was fine. Another example would be FFIX where spoiler Blank gets turned to stone in the evil forest and gets turned to normal after they aquire the legendary "Supersoft" months later. Maybe Luffy just needs the "Supersoft"??

Correct, you win a cyber-cookie. Though the ''correct'' term according to tvtropes.org is Villainous Breakdown. Heroic BSOD is the good guy version, and what happened to Luffy at the end of 513 is a perfect example of it in action.
One thing for sure is that Luffy is leaving in a ship. Guess we just have to see which ship it is, Momomga's or Boa's. I suspect Momonga's.
