Winnie the Pooh is another show I loved when I was a kid.

Ducktales will always be carved into the minds of nineties youngins thanks to the infectiousness of the theme.
WOO-HOO!
Hercules had a pretty fun show too.
-
Didn't Disney Channel used to have shows like Boy meets World and Smart Guy? I liked them..
-
Oh come on, Gummi Bears was clearly the best show they ever had.
Though I did recently rediscover how awesome Talespin was. Mm. That show's version of Khan is definitely one of Disney's greatest "villains".
-
Good 00's cartoons?
Megas XLR comes to mind. -
@robbybedfart:
All the good stuff apparently got moved to TOON Disney. Which for all intents and purposes doesn't exist. (And I understand event hat doesn't play toons anymore…)
Even then, those shows were taken away entirely when Toon Disney became DisneyXD. I was quite saddened.
-
@JERK:
I don't really get where this demographic of "nostalgic" pre-teens is from.
Well my best guess is that if they were born in 95/96, then they had slightly sketchy but fond memories of watching DBZ somewhere around Buu when they were in first or second grade, and thought "HEY THIS SHOW IS AWESOME THERE'S FIGHTING AND EXPLOSIONS AND SUPER SAIYAN AND EXTREME!" Or something. Because I'm 14, and I can remember watching Toonami and seeing both Dragon Ball and DBZ at some point. I never really liked the Bruce Falconer soundtrack to Z though. Even as a 7 year old I thought it sounded awful.
@JERK:Whose we. I had the likes of Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Powerpuff Girls, Ed Edd and Eddie, Samurai Jack etc.
90's kids, best cartoons. Eat it 80's.
Oh and I dunno what 00's kids watch now. Flapjack is kind of cool I guess. Or is that Nick. Whatever.
I remember watching pretty much all of the shows you mentioned, but the ones that I loved were Courage the Cowardly Dog and Time Squad. Oh man, those shows were at least half of my early childhood. But yeah, I'd have to admit that the 90s beat the crap out of the 00s when it comes to good cartoons. Honestly sometimes I think that I was born too fucking late, since I missed so many good things of the 90s like the Disney Afternoon, Kids WB at its prime, Fox Kids, etc. At least I got to watch some Toon Disney before it turned to crap. ._.
And yeah, those Disney Channel live-action shows can go die in a fire.

Whateva n00b dbz is better how can dbk be betta when gohan sounds like a lil kid its so dumb. i want more long fights and frieza and goku fighting for like 86 episodes is good cus theres more fighting and big beams. why dont u like bug beams and blody fights?
cmon bra u know dbz is better if dbk was made by spike than maybe itd be better but only if they made dbz 350 episode and added some cool stuff to it
^DBZ fanbase
Compared to that the whole One Piece fanbase with its obsession to keep as much words in Japanese as possible is godly.
-
@Mr.:
Courage the Cowardly Dog and Time Squad
 I miss those shows.
-
It's because DBZ is a large part of their childhood nostalgia.
DBZK's dub fixes 95% of the dub's problems, including voice changes for Gohan, Bulma and Freeza and it's absolutely hated by the fanbase, because the "funny" jokes aren't there, Gohan sounds like a little girl and Freeza doesn't sound like a creepy old woman.
This topic accurately shows the opinion of the average DBZ fantwat:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/996389-dragon-ball-raging-blast-2/55664927"I like Z better. Just because I feel FUNimation did a better job with the translation and voices. And the music Funimation had for Z was top notch"
Other than my bad quoting, how the hell do I get a picture of someone face palming.

I don't really get where this demographic of "nostalgic" pre-teens is from.
I'm pretty sure that they came from the 2002-2003 season of DBZ which was the Buu stuff. I doubt they watched the Android/Cell Saga because they'd be too young.
(This means that their nostalgia is pretty fake).
-
Dr. Raichî?! It seems Wasted Wisher was wrong about th remake of Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans being for a handheld…it'll befor Raging Blast 2!
I so hope it's being animated in HD too.. :)

Hey, I'm fifteen and I remember the Freeza stuff before Buu (I actually thought the series ended with Cell until Toonami brought in Buu).

Quick update, the remake of Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans coming with Raging Blast 2 (as a playable storyline, it seems) shall be titled Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans.

Do people really not get that Gohan is only 5 during Namek?

But he's very mature and badass!

Is it really that surprising to see people still debating over this?

I heard about it, and I think that's awesome.
We can finally see the OVA in English!

That's because America has reruns
-
When Kai is ending, do you think that Toei will animate the new ending that Toriyama drew for the kanzenbans? That would be great.
-
If they did, I would love them forever. But from the sounds of things, it seems Kai's got a very limited budget.
-
Confirmation that Wakamoto will voice Cell in Kai.
New promo art for Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans.
So exited for both.
-
Now the bigger question is: Will it actually be in the NA release?
Bandai-Namco opted not to include the first NES title in the western release of Dragon Ball Origins 2, even though a version of the game exists (albeit censored and changed). Here's to hoping they do include this. That'd mean we'd get more of the new Freeza dub voice.
-
I hope they include it, what's more subbed. I'd hate to see this thing go without an official release over here with the original voice cast!

namco bandai only releases naruto and dbz games outside japan

I've been looking forward to listening to Wakamoto as Cell when I start watching the series in Japanese again
and let me get this straight, the OVA is being re-animated? AWSOME!
Though I kind of doubt the NA release will include itOh and what's this I hear about an alternate ending from the Kanzenbans? Care to elaborate that anyone? :wassat:

Wakamoto: he's awesome. You'll be able to catch him in Kai starting from this weekend's episode.

That actually looks like one of the best DBZ game covers I've seen in a while.

Interesting how Son is in his base form in the remake.

FUCKING MOVIE VILLAINS. WHY? Why are no major villains on the cover? Why do they always use trunks when he's only there for one arc?
Fucking DBZ fans. They're the reason these games don't get any balance as is.
Did they really have to add these people?

It's not like there are any non-Dragon Ball Z era characters in the game. Not until future games, at least.
Super #13, Super Janemba, Fifth Form Coola, and Super Bojack have never been on covers before. They're characters fans apparently want to play as.
-

Uh, they do release other things here as well. But anyway, it wasn't RB2 that was in question; that's obviously coming. It was the OVA that was in question, mainly because it's never been released here. The original Famicom and Playdia versions of the game never came to the US, mainly because DBZ came here long after the NES was done and Playdia was never released here.
Not to mention, NB removed the NES Dragon Ball game from the western release of Dragon Ball Origins 2 that was playable in the Japanese version. That was even though the game DID have a western release, albeit heavily censored and changed around to resemble nothing like Dragon Ball.
However, NB did issue a press release later on yesterday saying it'd be available on the disc.

Would you prefer Brolli hogging the cover…again?
Anyway, Trunks is on the cover simply for the whole important Super Saiyans effect that they like to spread out on the covers. They've already used kid Trunks on Sparking! Meteor/Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and regular Trunks on Sparking! Neo/Budokai Tenkaichi 2.
-
Coola, Bojack, Super 13, and Hachiyaku. Oh well, at least Broli's not there.
-
Coola was on the Budokai 3 cover (Japanese and PAL release).
-
I sure hope we get Evil Buu and Piccolo Buu just so we can complete all of Buu's forms not counting Buff Buu. For what if characters, I would love to see Cooler form 1-3.

The movies honestly have some of the best villians in the series.
-
The movies honestly have some of the best villians in the series.
That's a pretty terrible opinion to even think of.
-
Yeah. Lord Slug was totally the best villain in the franchise. And Broly, especially by his third outing. And the mindless monster baby Janemba? Classy.
-
The movies honestly have some of the best villians in the series.
Most of the movie villains were retreads of villains in the series (Garlic Junior - Pilaf, Tullece (or whatever his name is) - the Saiyans, Cooler - Freeza, Slug - Piccolo, Android 13 - Cell, Janemba and Hildegarn - Boo), and the remaining ones (Broly, Bojack, Dr. Wheelo) weren't that great.
-
Garlic Junior was more of a Raditz than a Pilaf.
Humorously enough Shigeru Chiba voices all three of those characters (as of the Garlic Jr. anime arc, that is). :p
-
Garlic Jr is a Pilaf retread.
-
From the standpoint of a Fighting Game, the movie Villians are good because fans have played the Games that have tread the series' storyline before, showing a Movie Villian gives off the "This is something NEW" Idea at first glance because something is appearing on the cover that hasn't been on the cover of another game.
Trunks appears because, for some reason he's really popular (it's totally the sword)
